Located on the outskirts of the village, Culcheth Day Nursery offers flexible day care for children aged from 2 months - 5 years old. The nursery also has their Link Club which provides care for primary aged children during the holidays and before/after school.

With a carefully designed environment and a team of experienced and vibrant practitioners, there is always something to look forward to at Culcheth Day Nursery. Whether it's the large range of resources inside, the outdoors play area or the regular walks they carry out in the local area, children are encouraged to have fun and engage in a wide range of activities and experiences.

Following the EYFS framework within their curriculum, the team work with each individual child to help them flourish and develop at a pace to suit them. With focus on maths, STEM and literacy as well as socialisation, independence and confidence, children are given the best start to their early years' education and gently prepared for starting school.

The team at Culcheth Day Nursery understand that families have busy lives, so they are always happy to work around you. Please contact them to find out more.

My youngest daughter has been at this nursery for nearly 3 years and it has been the best experience I could have asked for. The staff have always been so supportive with not only my child but myself also, nothing is ever too much! If you are looking for the perfect start for your little one then this
place is definitely where you should be looking. I would in particular like to mention a new member of staff who has joined preschool. She is super invested in the children's progress and is full of useful tips and advice to help along their learning journey!

Ultimately, Culcheth Day Nursery had been heading downhill since being taken over. As parents, we have no information on how our child is progressing. Our son is a fussy eater so we ask how he has eaten on a regular cadence, even this we get generic answers (unless we manage to speak to one of the staff
that actually knows what's going on). Our son (and other children) used to enjoy going here, now he does not want to go in (and I see other children crying in the morning). If this was not his final year we would move him elsewhere.

My little boy started at Culcheth Day Nursery four months ago and ever since he started he has thrived. His confidence is growing each and every day. The staff are so kind and caring, he is so excited to see them each morning. He especially loves playing outdoors and exploring the ‘real-life’ resources
in his room. Thank you for everything Culcheth Day Nursery.

One of and if not the best nursery within the surrounding area. We have our 3 children attending Culcheth Day Nursery and would have zero hesitation recommending their services to any other parent. Their ethics and attention to detail with each of our children are exemplary. Seeing our children develop
key skills at such a young age demonstrates their capabilities and interaction levels. Each member of staff is very much approachable and a credit to the organisation. Unlike other nurseries, CDN also boasts having its own in-house chef to facilitate the children’s meals each day. The range in variety is again very unique and encourages our children to try different meals.
Most important for us is knowing that our children find the nursery a safe place to be. We see this echoed every day by the smiles on their faces each time we drop them off. Thanks for all that you do and long may it continue.

I chose for my son to attend Culcheth Day Nursery because of the staff. I knew right away that he would get all of the learning, but more importantly, all of the comfort that he needed from them, and I was not wrong.
The nursery is a lovely place for children, and my shy boy has developed so much
confidence there. He is very happy there, and he is constantly surprising me with the new things that he has learned. Keep doing what you are doing Culcheth Day Nursery!

We couldn’t be happier with Culcheth Day Nursery. Our little boy loves going into nursery and we always feel at ease when he is there. The staff are lovely and are caring and kind towards the children. We have seen huge leaps in development and know much of this is due to his time at nursery!

My little boy started 2 weeks ago. Every day when we pick him up he’s always enjoying himself. After he’s been to nursery he always comes home so happy, playful and full of beans.
We are so glad we picked this nursery for our little boy.
Thank you.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.642)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.642) out of 10 for Thrive Culcheth is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.667 for Thrive Culcheth is calculated as follows: ( (72 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.667

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Thrive Culcheth is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 number of registered child places is 16. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 16 = 0.375

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
