Stepping Stones at Lingley Mere in Warrington is based in Great Sankey Business Park.

The newly two-storey purposed built facility, that has replaced the existing nursery on Lingley Mere Business Park, includes a bespoke sensory room and four induvial classrooms on the ground floor.

The nursery caters for children aged from six weeks to five years old in a safe, stimulating and fun environment.

The new site also provides easy access off the main road and a private car park to enable convenient drop-offs and collections for parents.

Qualified, supportive staff help your child progress and develop.

Children benefit from physical activity, French lessons as well as trips to zoos and museums.

This nursery is absolutely wonderful, my daughter has attended for the last 2 years and has absolutely thrived at Stepping Stones making wonderful friends with both children and staff.
The staff go above and beyond to show care for the children and ensure all needs are attended to. The fact that this
nursery offers such flexibility on days/ time and fees is such a huge benefit and makes it stand above other childcare providers. The friendly and caring approach of all the staff at Stepping Stones ensures you don't worry when leaving your child in their care and if you are they always welcome a little call if you need to check in. My daughter will be here till she starts school loving life, developing new skills and enjoying time with her friends.

Stepping Stones Day Nursery has helped me, my son and my family more than they will ever know. As a first-time mum trusting others to take care of my son whilst having to return to work was a difficult thing to do but the team at Stepping Stones truly put my mind at ease from the get-go. My son absolutely
loves his days in nursery and loves the team even more. His little face lights up when we walk in the building in the morning and that says it all. The love the staff have for these children is so beautiful to see. They have their own special bond with each child and it shows in how safe and content the children are in their care. My son has thrived since starting in August 2024 and each week he comes home learning something new, I am so grateful for all the help and support he is given. I can't recommend Stepping Stones Day Nursery enough.

The continuous care and support Stepping Stones Day Nursery Lingley Mere has provided for my son is incredible. The staff are so dedicated to providing gold-standard care for all the children who attend, they go above and beyond.

My son has been attending this nursery for nearly three months. I'm so glad I transferred him to this nursery from his old one, as I feel he wasn't really developing much. Since my son has attended this nursery, he has come on so much. He talks more and he's learning so much. The amazing ladies in preschool
are absolutely lovely and I cannot thank them enough for everything they are doing with my son. I'm currently getting help from them with his development and speech, as well as at home. He would never have gotten this from his old nursery, which is another reason I'm so glad I chose this nursery. My son absolutely loves coming to nursery and it's so nice to see him developing. All the staff are lovely. They do so many activities that help with children's learning and more. The garden is spacious, to allow the children the space they need to play. Overall, it's an amazing nursery and I cannot fault it in any way.

We love the baby room at Stepping Stones! I enrolled my daughter here at just 6 months old. The girls are an absolute credit to this nursery. They ensure my daughter has absolutely everything she needs at all times. The standard of activities they do, the trips out to the duck pond and park, it's next
level. Each day, we are greeted with lovely smiles and cuddles for my daughter. The difference I have seen in my daughter's development is sensational. She is so kind, shares, eats very well, plays with everything and gets involved all the time. She is coming on so well with walking and her confidence and I truly believe it's down to the pure love, care and attention given by the girls! Special shoutout to two ladies who are in the baby room in particular - they are an absolute credit to the Stepping Stones family!

I couldn't recommend Stepping Stones Lingley Mere enough! My little girl has been attending since she just turned one and the progress she's made is amazing. Her confidence has grown so much. When she attended the baby room I thought I'd never want her to leave the girls in there and now she's just
had her last day in the pre-toddler room and my thoughts are exactly the same, I don't want her to leave that room either and it's purely for the love she has for the girls in there however I'm sure she'll love the toddler room just as much. The care and attention my little girl has received is outstanding. 10/10 I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

All staff provide a comprehensive update of the day's events for my grandson when I pick him up. The staff are always pleasant. He’s always busy doing something when I pick him up.

As we come to the end of our journey with Stepping Stones, after seven years and both children attending from ten months old, they have become an extended part of our family. The staff are incredible, the facilities are outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anybody.

My granddaughter is now in the toddler room. She started in the baby room aged one. All the nursery staff are kind and caring, from the management team, nursery staff and the cook. She runs in and straight to her teacher.
Loves all the activities and especially playing outside. The nursery staff have
helped her settle in and interact with children and staff. She now has lovely social skills and is polite. When I pick her up, I get a full progress report of what she has been doing during the day and eaten.
Lovely, clean environment and new build. Outdoor area excellent, helps her explore and learn about planting seeds and tasting the vegetables they are growing. Thank you everyone.

I think most people are nervous when it finally comes to leaving your child at a nursery. However, I cant express enough how good this place is. The staff, the management and the building itself are all the best you could ever wish for. They are attentive, loving, passionate and provide regular updates.
They all really seem to love their jobs and, considering the amount of little rascals they look after, they always have a smile on their faces. I could not recommend this place enough, the perfect nursery.

Stepping Stones Lingley Mere is a brilliant nursery!
The setting is amazing - modern, spacious, with a huge brilliantly equipped garden. It is well managed and organised, with great staff.
My daughter has had a wonderful time there, has been well cared for and loves her key worker and all the ladies
in Pre-School. All staff go above and beyond.
nativity and graduation ceremony were excellent moments which we’ll always remember!
My daughter has gained many new skills and so much confidence since starting here, always excited to go in and full of happy stories to tell at the end of the day.
I’d highly recommend this nursery, it has to be the best one in Warrington in my opinion.

I'm very happy with this nursery. The staff offer a friendly, caring approach to looking after my daughter. The daily activities help to develop my daughter's learning, as well as lots of free playtime. My daughter is always happy to be dropped off and has continued to devise her independence and confidence
when attending the setting.
All staff members are friendly and welcoming and follow the interests of my daughter, linking her home experiences to activities within nursery to help her communicate and explore new activities further.

Lingley Mere Stepping Stones Nursery is just amazing. Our little girl loves going to nursery and I’m always at ease when leaving her. Our little girl has developed and learnt so much since attending. All the staff are so friendly and lovely and go above and beyond in making an effort with our little
girl. They always give us detailed updates when we pick her up and we love seeing pictures of her week. The nursery itself is so modern and clean and there are lots of different variety of stuff for the children to do. We love the little book library at the entrance, where the children can borrow nursery books. It’s just an all round lovely and friendly nursery and we can’t wait for our little girl to spend many years here.

Can’t fault anything. The staff are amazing. The girls in the rooms are so lovely and kind. The lady in the preschool room is a credit to the company.

My little boy currently attends Stepping Stones Nursery. He is being assessed for ASD at the moment and the nursery have been incredibly supportive, patient and helpful.
My son was in a different nursery previously and I didn’t feel that he was getting much out of it. It has been such a pleasure seeing
the way he has flourished and improved since coming to Stepping Stones. He loves all of the staff and they give him all of the attention he craves! It is a lovely place to be, the atmosphere is so happy and fun and all of the children seem to enjoy the time they spend at the nursery.
I’m always kept informed of daily happenings and have developed a nice relationship with the girls that have been looking after him whilst I’m at work, which is good!
All in all, there is not a bad thing I can say about Stepping Stones, other than I wish we’d found it sooner!

I have a wealth of experience working in the early years and have been part of the Stepping Stones family for 27 years. Starting as an early years practitioner I have progressed and developed my career as a Nursery Manager experiencing all aspects of childcare and management.


My latest challenge, which has been my biggest challenge within my career so far is supporting and developing a large setting for the children, families and staff within.


My passion has always remained in childcare and that is to support children and families with the knowledge and skills gained throughout from beginning to end.
