Beginnings @Woodlands is a well-established nursery with knowledgeable Practitioners, dedicated to ensuring your child has the best start and nursery experience. They cater for children aged 2 - 4 years, as well as After School Club between the hours of 7.30am – 6.00pm.

Staff are all highly experienced in the Early Years, some with over 25 years in the industry.

Activities are created with the children’s development and interests at the centre, nurturing the children’s natural curiosities.

Their setting is based on the “home from home” experience, with familiar furniture and resources to create a calming, yet thought provoking environment for your child to learn and grow.

My children have been attending Bright Beginnings for around three years and they love it. The staff are so friendly and helpful and with it being attached to the school, is a big help for me. My children have always felt safe and welcome when attending the breakfast and after-school sessions and appear
to have a good relationship with all the staff.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery every day and learns new things constantly. The staff are all amazing and he has really taken a liking to one staff member in particular, who he just adores. She has all the time in the world for him and he loves the one-on-one interaction.

One staff member was amazing with my son, when we were struggling with night-time fears and supported us, throughout the whole thing. Our son is coming through his fears, or managing them better and we're so pleased and thankful for the support we received, out of hours and continuously checking in
to see how he was doing and was feeling. The manager always goes above and beyond for our son as well and really encourages him to be the best version of himself and supports him to learn and develop further. Another staff member, is another constant support for us and has a great relationship with our son, always reports clearly and professionally, even when he's had a hard day and pushed some boundaries. All of the staff are incredible, but the three staff members mentioned, have gone and continue to go above and beyond to help our son to reach his fullest potential. We're so grateful and he absolutely adores the three of them and his nursery experience. He can't wait to go each day and talks happily about his sessions. Thank you!

My little girl has gone to Bright Beginnings for a few years now and she absolutely loves going. I think it's her favourite part of her day, as she always asks if it's her day to go. She loves all the staff there and doesn't stop talking about them when I collect her. I really love that she is so comfortable
and happy there. I've never had any problems that have needed addressing and any issues I may have had, have always been handled well and resolved quickly. Fantastic place for little people to grow and play.

The friendliest staff, always going above and beyond to help me out, when they can. My little boy really enjoys and looks forward to his time there. He has been there since he was 2.5 years old and now goes to breakfast club and after-school club.

All the staff are lovely and very accommodating to any needs that you might have. My son loves going and has been attending the nursery since he was 2 years old. My son now attends after-school club and summer clubs at the nursery.

My daughter started the nursery at the woodland setting at age 2 years old. She loves going every day. The staff are friendly and really make the children feel welcome and the parents. I've never had any issues, highly recommended.

Fab nursery with lovely members of staff. Always happy to share what my daughter has been doing each day. All are friendly and approachable. With different activities and topics all the time, to keep the kids stimulated and learning. Can't fault the nursery at all.

My daughter has a fantastic time here, every day. The staff are fantastic, warm and welcoming. Communication is good and very easy to do. The facilities are good and the children have outdoor space that they use each day.

I really love Bright Beginnings. The staff are all amazing and really supportive when different issues or situations arise and as a parent, you could not ask, for me, more. More importantly, from my child's point of view, my son loves the after-school club and always comes out with an activity he has
done or a story, which makes it easier on the days I am not able to pick him up at the end of the normal school day. During half term, my son is excited to go to holiday club, which tells me that they are defiantly doing something right. I would highly recommend them.

My daughter started with Bright Beginnings in 2021-2022. She absolutely loved it there and loves going back for afterschool club. The staff are phenomenal and really go above and beyond with the children. My little girl came on so much there and I can't thank them enough.

My son attended this nursery from the age of 2 years old and still attends after-school club now. He really enjoys it and he has learned so much. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I trust my son is being cared for and looked after well.

Job Title: Manager

I have worked in the Early Years for around 30 years, starting out as a childminder, and then moving into a nursery and working my way up to Manager.


I am NVQ Level 3 qualified, I am the safeguarding officer, as well as the setting SENCO, with all relevant training.


I enjoy working with children, and love the fact that each day is different, and seeing the children develop their own personalities.
