Busy Bees Ashton House is a converted manor house, tailored to early years play and exploration and staffed by a team with a varied range of qualifications and experience.

An extensive range of interests and activities are stimulated within the setting, such as creative art, singing and sensory play. Staff look to support children develop confidence and independent thinking to help them with future challenges.

A parent partnership meets throughout the year to provide regular feedback and during school holidays there are visits organised to various parks and attractions.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees for 18 months now and I cannot fault the care she receives.
She has recently had her two year review and it is an excellent reflection on the nursery and how they have helped her develop. Everybody I have come into contact with has a caring attitude and genuine
interest in my child's care and development.

Everyone has been so good. I was returning to work from maternity leave and was a little nervous, but my little girl loves it. She has settled so quickly and the staff made me feel at ease. The outdoor area is amazing and the food/weaning menu is perfect. Couldn't ask for any more from Ashton House
Busy Bees. Would recommend to everyone.

My children love coming to nursery and always tell their friends about it. Whenever my children go in with an interest, the staff are always thinking of different things they can do to encourage them to learn new things from this. It's amazing to see what they come up with and how they get so much from
just talking to my children. When their grandparent comes to collect, she always has so many nice things to say about what the staff have told her.

Appreciate the friendly, helpful and professional attitude of all staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Everybody goes out of their way and always with a positive and welcoming way. I really am pleased with the nursery care given to my granddaughters - they are always known by name and not a number. Well

This is an outstanding nursery. I was reluctant to send my child to nursery full time and my previous children have both been brought up at home. However, Busy Bees has converted me completely. My son has progressed amazingly and we have never had any cause for concerns.

I have two sons being looked after at Busy Bees, and I honestly couldn’t praise the place enough. Not only are they both learning loads but you can tell that they are both happy, confident and safe. My eldest is now singing songs that they have taught him and my youngest is no longer the clingy baby.
Yet, for me what makes me super happy with the place is that they really do care about them both. I see every day when I drop them off and collect them. Knowing that my boys are loved and safe is everything.

My son started at Busy Bees in April. He has settled really well, all staff have gone above and beyond for him meeting all his needs and him learning new things daily. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone and also have other family members' children that I have recommended. Since he started
the nursery management have been really supportive with leaving him making sure I always felt reassured.

We have used Busy Bees Nursery now for 2 years since our daughter was 9 months old. We've found that it's great, staff are polite, friendly and I know that my daughter's needs are met and the care provided is directed firstly at the children. Really happy and would advise anyone to use.

My daughter is starting at Ashton House this March the staff and Management, have been nothing but helpful to help the transition run smoothly, which has put my mind at ease about her starting at Ashton.

We have 2 children at this nursery and are very happy with the service. Our eldest child has special needs and they have always been extremely supportive and accommodating. There have been a couple of issues of concern over the years but these have always been dealt with and resolved quickly.
Both
our children are happy and making progress in their own way here. Staff go above and beyond regularly and are very approachable (particularly middle management, floor managers, room leaders)

Overall, excellent facilities. Staff go above and beyond for the children. Only comment would be compared to our previous nursery there could be more recycling bins to teach kids about environmental issues.

Friendly nursery. Fantastic gardens for children to play in.
Friendly, dedicated and professional staff with good and clear bonds with the children. Good value for money. Both of my boys love Busy Bees nursery, they enter with a smile and leave with a bigger one.

All the staff have made me feel very welcome. They have been very helpful and provided any information I required whilst arranging a nursery place and sorting out funding.
My child loves going to nursery and already had joined in many new activities with the support of the staff.
The rooms and activities

My child settled in well here. He has always been with me so he had quite a bit of separation anxiety in the nursery. The nursery understood this and helped my child settle in in his own time and pace, never forcing him to do anything he didn't want to.
My little boy enjoys the nursery and has come
on since he started in May this year. The staff are very friendly and always helpful.
The only issue I had and did upset me a little was that come September all children had their coat hook and picture up and my lad had been missed for some reason although he had one previously. I felt a little saddened by this. Other than that a great nursery.

My two children love coming to the holiday club here. The staff are very professional and friendly. The nursery is very well situated in the middle of the park making use of all the natural surroundings. My son has food intolerances and the nursery was more than happy to accommodate all our needs.

Joined: 2011

My name is David Fisher-Sinclair I have been working for Busy Bees since 2011 based at Southport. I came across to Ashton House in November 2023.


I started off as a member of the relief team at Southport and have continued to develop my knowledge and skills ever since, becoming assistant Centre Director in 2019 at Southport and then transferring over to Ashton House. I have completed my level 5 management and leadership training and senco training.
