Summerfield Day Nursery now provides wrap around care: Before & After School Club and Holiday Club.

Summerfield Day Nursery & Pre-school is set in the picturesque Lytham St Annes and is only a 5 minutes drive from the beautiful beach. Their ethos is to help children grow, in a safe and caring, stimulating learning environment. They plan high quality, purposeful play opportunities which are based on children's developmental needs and interest, making learning fun and meaningful. The Nursery also offers many extra learning opportunities including football, drama, swimming and educational days out including beach school and forest school.

Summerfield has three age group learning rooms: Buttercups 0-2 years, Tulips 2-3 years & Poppies which is the Pre-school classroom for children aged 3-4 years. The learning rooms have been carefully resourced and designed to allow the children to have the best learning opportunities and support them in meeting all areas of learning and development. There is also a NEW multi-sensory room that has been recently made which is accessible for all ages. This beautiful space is perfect for helping children develop, engage, and get in touch with all their senses.

My child has attended Summerfield Nursery now for a number of months and I am super happy with the progress my little one has made since she started. I know she has settled in perfectly as sometimes she doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day! I’m always surprised at how jam-packed the days are
with different and exciting activities and I really appreciate how keen and in-tune our key worker and the other nursery teachers are with my little one's current interests. I highly praise Summerfield Nursery to everyone I know and I think the nursery and all the teachers have absolutely exceeded my expectations. Fantastic nursery.

The staff are all great with my daughter; she's happy to go to any of them and knows all their names. She gets taken out to the beach, garden centre etc. And has sports sessions with an outside agency. The outside space was a big selling point for us, with loads of space for the children to play.

My child loves going to nursery and enjoys a wide variety of activities and experiences. Lots of trips out around the community, which she comes home to tell us about. Communication from staff is great, plenty of information about what they've been doing. Evening and weekend activities for families
to join in with are definitely going above and beyond what I would expect, so although I can't often attend, I do appreciate the effort made.

We had a fab day at the Easter fun day! Superb nursery and very warming and nurturing staff. Provision is constantly changed and adapted to meet the needs of the children. My little one absolutely loves coming here! The staff have brought the best out in him. Thank you for all you do.

My daughter has just started at the nursery! I couldn’t recommend it enough. I was so nervous for my daughter with some additional needs to start anywhere. Summerfield staff have been wonderful, patient, kind informative and above all lovely with my daughter. I know after only 1 week she’s in the best
hands and receiving a wonderful nursery experience. They take care in understanding individual children and give every child an opportunity to learn and grow in a beautiful nursery environment.

I was really anxious about sending my son to nursery from such a young age. However, all the staff at Summerfield Nursery have been amazing. I know I can leave him in their care and not worry whilst I work. My son has made some amazing friendships with not only the children but all the staff too. My
son really enjoys all the extracurricular activities that the nursery offer. As a busy working parent I don't have to worry that my child is missing out on fun experiences outside of the nursery and home environment.

We have had two children at Summerfield Nursery. Our second is currently there. They have both enjoyed their time there and number 2 continues to do so. Friendly, hardworking staff, good variety of resources and activities and lovely new outdoor area to name but a few of the pros. Definitely go and
have a look around if you are looking for a nursery.

My daughter recently started here but we feel the whole process from looking around to her being settled was so smooth, the staff are all so lovely and very reassuring and my daughter loves coming and settling really quickly. She loves her trips out in the minibus and has come on lots in such a short

The nursery is always putting on lovely events for the children to come along to with their parents and families, they have always been really helpful with any questions I may have had.

Staff are really lovely and take time to talk about their day and what they have been up to. A cosy and homely environment with lovely, spacious outdoor areas. Lots of extra activities to organise each week within the nursery and trips out on the bus in the local area which my little girl loves. My

Following a negative experience at another local nursery we attended Summerfield Nursery and had been extremely impressed with all of the facilities and warm and welcoming nature of all staff members.
My son happily goes in in the morning and when I pick him up he is always busy playing and looks if
he has had a great time.
Our children’s happiness is always our key consideration when considering child care and the fact that he has felt so comfortable so quickly clearly demonstrates that Summerfield and all of the staff provide an excellent safe, supportive environment to enable our children to learn and grow.

Both my son and my daughter attend Summerfield and both have grown and thrived since starting there. They absolutely love going.
staff are approachable, friendly and caring and build fantastic relationships with the children they care for.
My daughter will be sad to leave in September but they have
more than prepared her for the transition to primary school.

This nursery is fully committed to their children and I love to see the regular updates to the online portal that the nursery provides, and the staff are always informative when I ask how my child is doing. The nursery also has many events during seasonal times which I also feel allows myself as a

The nursery is completely encompassing of my child’s needs and inclusion in everything they do. Really supportive of parents also. Highly recommend.

Fabulous nursery, my daughter loves going, she has additional needs and diagnosed with ASD, they've got to know her really well and have a great understanding of her needs. My daughter has a great relationship with her keyworker and always runs into nursery happy and excited.

My daughter and son have both attended Summerfield Nursery since being 10 months old. My daughter is now at school but still attends the holiday club. The staff are all fantastic and so caring. They are always out and about on trips and there are lots of events that parents are invited to which we love.

My daughter has attended this nursery since 9 months old, she’s now 7 and attends the after school and holiday clubs.
Absolutely brilliant nursery, staff are very well trained and knowledgeable, and we’ve built a great relationship with each and every one of them!
They care a great deal for the
families, and the frequent events are always amazing.
I wouldn’t choose any other nursery!

My little girl started in the new year, and I was worried about her starting a new nursery, but all my worries were taken away with the staff and facilities provided. The staff are all so warm and welcoming; they give a full handover of what your child has been up to over the day and keep you updated
as much as possible on the app.
My little one, although she only goes one day a week, soon settled and now runs into nursery without looking back. She has come on so much in the short time she has been there, and I look forward to her future years here too. I really would recommend Summerfield Nursery. They have been very accommodating and have quick responses if I have needed to get in touch.

Lovely friendly feeling setting! We felt really welcome from our first look-around session with the manager! My little one was also only starting part-time aged two, and took a bit of time to settle - the staff were great arranging lots of settling sessions for us and some sessions using the sensory
room too!
They have been very willing to help us with anything needed, and our little one now loves his days at nursery.

Hello, my name is Chelsea and I have worked in childcare for 7 years gaining experience working with ages 0-5 years. I have been at Summerfield since 20217 and have had previous managerial experience in childcare settings and feel confident in my role at Summerfield Day Nursery helping to support the Nursery and the Team. I am a very motivated person and enjoy what I do.


I live locally with my husband and I have an 8-year-old son and a daughter aged 1 who currently attends Summerfield, having children of my own I know first-hand how important it is to feel secure about leaving your children in a happy, safe environment whilst being a working parent. Since my first day at Summerfield, I have always felt very welcome and part of a strong team.


My Role at Summerfield Day Nursery is to support the team within the nursery daily to ensure that we are all providing outstanding care to the children in the setting. I have good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, planning and safeguarding. I have formed good relationships with key children and parents within the setting. I am passionate and enthusiastic in my work and love being involved in the development of children.
