Summerfield Day Nursery now provides wrap around care: Before & After School Club and Holiday Club.

Summerfield Day Nursery & Pre-school is set in the picturesque Lytham St Annes and is only a 5 minutes drive from the beautiful beach. Their ethos is to help children grow, in a safe and caring, stimulating learning environment. They plan high quality, purposeful play opportunities which are based on children's developmental needs and interest, making learning fun and meaningful. The Nursery also offers many extra learning opportunities including football, drama, swimming and educational days out including beach school and forest school.

Summerfield has three age group learning rooms: Buttercups 0-2 years, Tulips 2-3 years & Poppies which is the Pre-school classroom for children aged 3-4 years. The learning rooms have been carefully resourced and designed to allow the children to have the best learning opportunities and support them in meeting all areas of learning and development. There is also a NEW multi-sensory room that has been recently made which is accessible for all ages. This beautiful space is perfect for helping children develop, engage, and get in touch with all their senses.

Lovely nursery. All my children have been going there for the last seven years.
The staff are super friendly, and all my girls love the nursery.
They are very involved with the parents, keeping me up to date with my child's development.
They throw many seasonal events at the nursery, which are
always a success, and the children have so much fun.

I have had an excellent experience with the nursery. They have been extremely supportive through personal issues that I had keeping an eye on my child and keeping in regular communication. My child thrives in the nursery under their care, and absolutely loves it. I recommend the nursery to any friend
who is looking, and I have been very happy with their care throughout the last two years my child has been there.

My granddaughter attends Summerfield currently and is such a confident, happy little girl. She always talks very highly of the nursery and the friends she has made. Summerfield is welcoming, and all the girls are very friendly - a real home-from-home.

My child has attended Summerfield Nursery for 18 months now. His development and confidence have come on in leaps and bounds; he is extremely well cared for by all the lovely staff, and he loves nursery days! The nursery has so many different things going on, and they are very attentive to any needs;
they also do lots of parent events which we love. Fab nursery, fab staff!

My son has attended this nursery since he was eight months old.
We have never had any issues, all the staff are lovely, and I couldn’t think of a better place for him to go whilst I’m at work.
I know he is safe and learning new things every day.
Staff are very supportive whenever I’ve needed to

We have recently joined this nursery after moving, and it is so good my child has settled so well in such a short time. In that time, they have been on several outings, and she has learnt so much. My daughter loves all her teachers, and every evening I pick her up, we always get an update on what they
have done and eaten that day. I can not fault this nursery at all.

I can’t stress enough how friendly, clean and wonderful the building itself is with so much to offer for children to grow. Our daughter has settled in brilliantly, thanks to the caring staff who she adores. Nothing is too much for the staff, and all of them update us regularly, as well as inform us
of our daughter's day on pick up. Our little girl is so happy to arrive there, and they really listen and are attentive towards her. She loves the activities and days out. The nursery goes above and beyond to make the children happy and parents comfortable. It has been a wonderful experience for us as a family, and mostly, for our child; I couldn’t recommend it more.

An incredible nursery. The setting is beautiful, and the staff are fantastic with the children. My daughter has been there for just over a year now and thoroughly enjoys it. She has allergies, and these have been catered for from the very beginning. The staff are very reassuring and will go above and

Summerfield is a fantastic setting. Our little girl moved here 9-months ago from another nursery and settled really quickly. She speaks fondly of all the staff and has made some lovely friends. The progress updates on the app are great to see, and the enthusiasm my little one has each morning is a testament
to the atmosphere the team create. Summerfield is always flexible where possible, which is a huge help when working a rota, and I couldn’t be happier with the service.

Our youngest son is in the baby room at Summerfield day nursery. My self and my wife love how much our son's speech has developed since attending; the nursery has such a lovely atmosphere! The staff are very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for

I am so glad I sent my son to Summerfield, as he seems to be settling well. Staff are all great, especially one lady who my son has bonded with really well. I was nervous at first as my son would get very upset, and the manager said to call anytime for an update - both her and another member of staff
have been great. I love the online app, which they update daily with photos etc.

My 1 year old son started at Summerfield after a year of lockdown and hardly any contact with people outside his own family. Summerfield carers were brilliant at helping him settle in and he absolutely loves it! He is so happy to go and gets excited when we pull in to the car park. The outside area
is excellent and he really enjoys the arts & crafts, sensory room and messy play.
The nursery is very flexible and are able to accommodate my changing work pattern with a couple of weeks notice which is a huge help.
It is a lovely friendly environment & I’m very happy for my son to attend Summerfield.

A lovely, warm and welcoming nursery.
My little 3-year-old has recently started nursery for the first time and has settled here very well (he enjoys his nursery morning's and is happy going in and happy on collection).
The staff are friendly and give you an update of what they did when you collect
your little one.
This nursery is located in a fantastic area close to town, beach, parks etc - very accessible whether travelling by car, bus or walking.
It's also just like one big house (my little one likes to spot "the white nursery house" on our walk there). It's like a 'home from home' due to this and the way the staff have it all set up ready to learn through play. I feel that this has been a contributing factor regarding how well my toddler has settled at Summerfield Nursery.

My little boy has attended the nursery for two years, and he has always been happy there. He has always loved his key workers who get to know him and his needs. Any issues that we have had are usually resolved quickly. Events held at the nursery have always been good - obviously when they were allowed.
Management tends to listen to suggestions on how to improve things.

My son has been at Summerfield since he was 8-months-old, and I've never had tears at drop off once. He’s made great friends, and the staff have been so consistent and stayed the same, so it is like home from home for him with a second family. During this year when things have been uncertain, they have
been so flexible and accommodated a change in days more than once to suit us as a family without complaint.
And more recently, my son left his comfort blanket on a Friday evening, and the manager went back on Saturday and dropped it off at our house, so he wasn’t without it all weekend, above and beyond. I feel he is never just another child, and they really know his personality and needs.

Hello, my name is Chelsea and I have worked in childcare for 7 years gaining experience working with ages 0-5 years. I have been at Summerfield since 20217 and have had previous managerial experience in childcare settings and feel confident in my role at Summerfield Day Nursery helping to support the Nursery and the Team. I am a very motivated person and enjoy what I do.


I live locally with my husband and I have an 8-year-old son and a daughter aged 1 who currently attends Summerfield, having children of my own I know first-hand how important it is to feel secure about leaving your children in a happy, safe environment whilst being a working parent. Since my first day at Summerfield, I have always felt very welcome and part of a strong team.


My Role at Summerfield Day Nursery is to support the team within the nursery daily to ensure that we are all providing outstanding care to the children in the setting. I have good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, planning and safeguarding. I have formed good relationships with key children and parents within the setting. I am passionate and enthusiastic in my work and love being involved in the development of children.
