Summerfield Day Nursery now provides wrap around care: Before & After School Club and Holiday Club.

Summerfield Day Nursery & Pre-school is set in the picturesque Lytham St Annes and is only a 5 minutes drive from the beautiful beach. Their ethos is to help children grow, in a safe and caring, stimulating learning environment. They plan high quality, purposeful play opportunities which are based on children's developmental needs and interest, making learning fun and meaningful. The Nursery also offers many extra learning opportunities including football, drama, swimming and educational days out including beach school and forest school.

Summerfield has three age group learning rooms: Buttercups 0-2 years, Tulips 2-3 years & Poppies which is the Pre-school classroom for children aged 3-4 years. The learning rooms have been carefully resourced and designed to allow the children to have the best learning opportunities and support them in meeting all areas of learning and development. There is also a NEW multi-sensory room that has been recently made which is accessible for all ages. This beautiful space is perfect for helping children develop, engage, and get in touch with all their senses.

My daughter has attended Summerfield since she was 9-months-old and is now three. The staff have been so good with her throughout. She is now in pre-school and gets great help. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have had a good experience and been kept up to date with my daughter's progress.

Both my children currently attend Summerfield. My daughter is in the lovely preschool room, and my son attends breakfast and after school club (he previously attended the nursery).
My daughter absolutely adores going to nursery, she constantly talks about her lovely teachers and all the fun things
she’s done each day. The staff are amazing with the children and always happy to talk through any issue you may be having. The children do lots of different activities and really help to prepare the children for school. I would highly recommend the lovely Summerfield Nursery.

My little girl loves Summerfield; she asks every day if it’s a nursery day, and is always super excited when I say yes. They are always learning new things and have lots of activities to do. All the staff are lovely and always happy to help with any queries. The fact that they have flexible hours is
very helpful to us as well and quite rare it seems. The staff are always thorough at-home time as well handing over what my little girl has done that day; they also thankfully don’t charge me extra when she has seconds of lunch!

Absolutely love this nursery. My little girl loves going. She’s confident and thriving. I have no concerns. All the staff are excellent. I would highly recommend it. I’ve already recommended the nursery to my friend.

All three of my children have gone to this nursery, and all of them have loved it. They build strong relationships with both the parent and child and I have always completely trusted the nursery to properly care for all of my children.


I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else and will always be

grateful for their help supporting my children through their precious early years.

Both of my children have been attending Summerfield Nursery since they were 9-months-old. They both enjoy going to nursery and getting involved in all the activities. They have lots of fun and learn how to socialize. Nursery plans different activities where children can explore and develop, and I know

Summerfield is a fantastic nursery. My youngest is currently in the baby room, and the staff are amazing. He skips in the morning and always has a smile on his face! My eldest (now at school) started in the baby room and continued his nursery journey until he left last year. I visited many other nurseries
in the area including some ‘outstanding’, and without a doubt, Summerfield topped them all.

Hello, my name is Chelsea and I have worked in childcare for 7 years gaining experience working with ages 0-5 years. I have been at Summerfield since 20217 and have had previous managerial experience in childcare settings and feel confident in my role at Summerfield Day Nursery helping to support the Nursery and the Team. I am a very motivated person and enjoy what I do.


I live locally with my husband and I have an 8-year-old son and a daughter aged 1 who currently attends Summerfield, having children of my own I know first-hand how important it is to feel secure about leaving your children in a happy, safe environment whilst being a working parent. Since my first day at Summerfield, I have always felt very welcome and part of a strong team.


My Role at Summerfield Day Nursery is to support the team within the nursery daily to ensure that we are all providing outstanding care to the children in the setting. I have good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, planning and safeguarding. I have formed good relationships with key children and parents within the setting. I am passionate and enthusiastic in my work and love being involved in the development of children.
