We've been with Busy Bees for over 5 years now, with all our children attending.
The staff know the individuality of all their children so wonderfully, they have such care and support for every one of them. If families have challenges they empathise beautifully and are always willing to help where
they can! Our children have amazing bonds with the staff and their friends and we absolutely love the intimacy and community of this nursery!
So much so that we are still friends with our nursery group even though our children are in later stages of primary!
We've found the smaller setting really lovely and it's nice to see the integration of different ages.
We have been so grateful for such an amazing nursery experience for our children and we know they prepare and put them in good stead for their years ahead.

My child has been attending Busy Bees Warton since they were 5 months old (now 15 months). We have been very pleased with the care provided by the nursery. The staff are lovely, genuinely care for the children and all seem to take pride in their jobs. From the updates we get via the app it is clear
that they are providing varied and age-appropriate activities to support the children's development and milestones.

My toddler has been at Busy Bees in Warton full-time for a year now and I have nothing but the highest praise for the nursery and the staff. It's a really homely setting and the staff go above and beyond in terms of the care they provide the children and for parents too - whenever you have any questions
they couldn't be more helpful.
My daughter absolutely loves going, has formed some lovely friendships and whenever I collect her they all seem so happy. In terms of facilities, there's a lovely large outdoor play area with lots of resources available and there are a lot of engaging activities on offer throughout the day (messy play and the pet chickens being particular favourites!). There's an on-site chef who provides varied & nutritious meals throughout the week too and huge thumbs up for this nursery, the manager and another member of staff in particular do a fantastic job of managing it with the team and I would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, I will share this with the team. The children have been so excited by the chickens in the garden and we do love being outdoors and our messy play!

Our eldest child was at Busy Bees Warton for 3 years (now at School) and our youngest has currently been there for a year. Both saw amazing leaps in development because of their time at Busy Bees, especially the eldest as he was impacted by lockdown during Covid, and the isolation definitely had an
impact.
Our children love(d) going to nursery and they're always happy to be there. You get loads of contacts, pictures, and updates, and all the staff takes a strong interest in every child.
The food and menu always look amazing so you know your children are getting a healthy meal every day.

My son is attending nursery since he was 18 months old. He settled very fast. He is very happy going to nursery. Staff are amazing and helpful, very good communication between nursery and parents. Really happy with the nursery app as well. Nursery is clean and tidy, lots of toys and activities during
the day. Also, my son really enjoys the food.
I will highly recommend it to anybody looking for a nursery.

The nursery might not be as polished as others and if you want your child to come home in pristine white clothes, it is not the place for you, but if you want them to have fun, play in mud, feed chickens, wash snails and so much more, I would highly recommend. My only regret is that I didn't send my
child sooner!
The staff are fantastic and really bring out the best in children, nothing phases them and they are always on hand to speak to.

Thank you so much, this was lovely to read! We pride ourselves on the opportunities we provide for the children and adding chickens to our setting has really allowed children to explore the side of caring for pets by being highly involved. My daughter has been attending Busy Bees since she was 5 months old, she is now 4 and getting ready for big school. Busy Bees Warton has been amazing with my little girl, so much so that I also decided to send my 10-month-old son here. The staff are so friendly and have really helped my daughter blossom
and grow. She loves attending and has never had any issues going into nursery. I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone!

Our sons have both attended Busy Bees (Warton) until starting school and we couldn’t have been happier with the nursery. Our youngest son has just started school and he has loved going to this nursery. The staff are a credit to the nursery, which is safe and fun and has so many interesting activities
that are provided for the children. Our children’s key people have been amazing and know our children so well. Cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.

The staff at Busy Bees are a credit to the nursery. My child is always coming home and telling me what she has been doing, who has helped her, who has read to her etc. They are warm, welcoming and friendly and take the time to understand each child and what they enjoy. The nursery itself is well-equipped,
clean and safe and I have complete peace of mind that my child is well-cared for and happy. I credit the nursery for my daughter's love of books and fantastic vocabulary and I'm thankful that they have built her confidence, interacting with others post-pandemic.

My little girl has attended nursery from being ten months old and she turned three in February, she absolutely loves the nursery and talks about all her friends and staff and we love hearing her talk about her little family at the nursery. Her birthday was made extra special this year by the effort
that the nursery staff put in and she still talks about it now. All members of staff take on-board each child's individual needs, which I believe makes a huge difference to having a happy child. I would definitely recommend Busy Bees at Warton.

My daughter has only been attending this nursery a couple of months, but she has already built strong connections with all the staff.
The staff take their time to get to know your child, and their interests, and focus activities based on said interests, to help encourage their development.
The children
spend lots of time outside, where they have many resources to promote all areas of development.
Meals are varied, fresh and nutritious. Children are encouraged to try new things.
Staff ensure that all messages are passed on, on collection giving info such as what your child has eaten, how long they slept, the day's activities etc, this is also logged on an app called parent zone.
Parent Zone is an app all parents can access. Meals, sleep's, nappies etc are logged. Also, pictures from your child's day, and observations their carers make.

My son enjoys going to this nursery I feel like the staff take the time to get to know his interests and ways, even though he is only there 1 day a week.
He enjoys the food offered, which always sounds delicious and give him a varied diet.
It is a small nursery but a very friendly one with lots of
toys and opportunities to learn and grow. The staff go above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience making family books, lovely displays and song packs that parents can borrow.
Thank you for giving my son a lovely day each time he comes and for helping him grow into a well rounded little person.

Our son started at Busy Bees Warton almost 10 months ago and we have been really pleased with all aspects of the nursery. The feedback each day is excellent, the healthy meals are varied and his all round care has been at a consistently high level. Our son's key worker is very dedicated and this shows
in her interactions with him each day. We have recently been given access to parent zone which is a great way to see how the day is progressing.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.844)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.844) out of 10 for Busy Bees Warton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.944 for Busy Bees Warton is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.944

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Warton is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Naomi Jackson

Job Title: Centre Director

My Name is Naomi Jackson, I gained My NNEB Nursery Nursing Diploma in 1994 and have been working with young children ever since. I have a BA Hons degree in my early years and continue to undertake further training. I have a strong commitment to staff training and development and encourage the staff to regularly attend courses to enhance their professional development and then share new ideas within the nursery.

My role is managing our highly committed and long-serving team who between us have over 70 years of childcare experience, I ensure that every child is cared for to the highest standards and that their individual needs are met. We are committed to learning through play and ensuring that every child enjoys their time spent with us. We do this by building close partnerships with you the parents and sharing information about your child and what they like. This way we can plan activities and experiences that excite and stimulate your child.

I work closely with Frances our nursery chef to ensure that the children receive tasty and nutritious meals when in the nursery. The nursery is committed to healthy eating and we encourage the children to eat a good variety of fresh fruit and vegetables and often include them in preparing their own meals. We work closely together to ensure that every child is offered a healthy balanced diet.

As an experienced early years educator, I support the team in the role of special educational needs coordinator and among my many roles I have spent years as a health and safety coordinator providing me with experience in developing safe play environments.
