Such lovely, warm and nurturing nursery. Our son started during lockdowns etc. so we were nervous as he had never been away from us, but they allowed both him and us time to adjust. Although actually he has always settled really easily there, we never felt rushed by them.
It feels really well managed
and the staff are lovely, they are so kind and supportive to the children. My son has been there (since he was 1 and is now in his final year) and has flourished there both in his learning and with lovely friendships.

My son has been attending Norton Grange Chantreyland for the past 7 months since he was 12 months old. The care and attention our son receives is consistently exceptional. We have always felt staff at Norton Grange are responsive in their care towards him, and as a result he is excited to attend every
single morning.
Their outside space is large - it is filled with child-friendly equipment and toys, and they encourage outdoor play at much as they can, which we really appreciate. They have many learning opportunities for the children, and we have seen our son progress so much since starting - emotionally, physically and intellectually.
We have always been impressed by the meals provided, and believe they offer the children a good mix of tastes and textures, whilst always being balanced and nutritious.
Norton Grange offers flexibility with their hours and days, which is great for working parents.
I have no concerns with this nursery at all and would recommend it to anyone interested.

Our daughter has been attending for just over a year since she was eight months old. We feel so lucky to have found such a truly special place for her to be. All the staff are amazing. They show so much care and love for all the children. They nurture them all as individuals. They do so many creative,
fun and messy games. I am also really happy with the lunches that are all prepared on-site at their nursery down the road. The menu is full of healthy and exciting food, and not a chicken nugget in sight! I never worry about my daughter as I know she is in the best place she could be when she is not with her parents.

Both of my children have attended Chantreyland (Norton Grange) nursery. I highly recommend it. Excellent staff, engaged and friendly. Flexible for working parents. My children progressed so much through attending this nursery and it has set them up brilliantly for moving on to school and making solid
friendships.

Our little boy started the nursery last year, he has grown and learnt so much in such a short period of time due to the hard work and commitment of the staff at the nursery. They look after each child like they are their own. Absolutely fabulous establishment.

My daughter has been attending Chantreyland since March 2017 when she was 10 months old and over the last two years she has progressed so much and her confidence has really grown! The staff are all very friendly and approachable and know all the children, even the ones not in their immediate care. I
love the fact that they regularly take the children into Graves Park and visit the animal farm as it is only a short walk from the nursery. I can’t recommend Chantreyland enough and it is lovely knowing how much my daughter enjoys going. I would highly recommend Chantreyland to anyone wanting a friendly, safe nursery for their children!!

My daughter has been attending Chantreyland since she was 5.5 months old and I'm so impressed with the care she receives and how much she has learned and progressed over the last 2 years. The staff are incredible - very friendly, approachable, and clearly care very much about all the children who attend.
Wonderful outside space for kids to play and the close proximity to Graves Park and the small animal farm is fantastic as they quite regularly take walks there on dry sunny days. Couldn't recommend this enough - they made the transition from mat leave to work so much easier knowing my daughter was in safe, caring hands and, most importantly, she absolutely loves it there. I couldn't ask or hope for more.

I've had both my children attend Chantreyland over the past 4 or so years and they've both loved their experience. All the staff are friendly, and my youngest loves her keyworker in her room. Even though my oldest has now left, she still enjoys coming to pick her sister up after school and popping into
the nursery to see the staff. The activities are varied, and in the pre-school, they really do prepare the children for going to school (which can be quite a shock to some children).
I'd have no hesitation in recommending Chantreyland!

My daughter is two and has been attending nursery since she was 10 months. She only attends one day a week but she loves it. All of the staff know who she is and how well she is progressing. She does a variety of activities and is always keen to tell us about her day. The parents evenings are good to
keep abreast of her developments, but the staff are always on hand for you to talk to if you have any concerns. Great outdoor space.

My little girl has been attending Chantreyland since January, and I'm so happy with her progress. I wanted her to attend a couple of days a week so she could interact with other children of similar age and the development has been huge. All the staff are very friendly, and I feel like she is well looked
after and cared for by them. Sending her to nursery has allowed me to return to work, which has made a huge difference for me as well. Cannot fault the nursery at all!

My daughter attended Chantreyland since being a baby and left last September for school. She loved every minute of her experience at Chantreyland, and the staff were lovely throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend, and I've already registered my youngest for a start in June.
I still keep in regular
contact with the staff, updated them on her progress at school, and she pops in to visit often.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.208)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.208) out of 10 for Chantreyland Children's Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.958 for Chantreyland Children's Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (23 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.958

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.25 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Chantreyland Children's Nursery is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 number of registered child places is 16. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 16 = 0.125

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
