Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Cottingley is a high-quality early years childcare provision based on the site of Nuffield Health’s Cottingley Fitness and Wellbeing gym. Babies from 3 months to 2 years, toddlers from 2 - 3 years and pre-schoolers from 3 - 5 years are all welcome to enjoy their first-rate facilities and stimulating environments, which provide fun and learning for inquisitive little minds.

The nursery benefits from enclosed outdoor garden, freshly prepared home cooked meals and snacks (special dietary requirement are always catered for), brand new resources, free swimming lessons, free all day parking for nursery parents who may commute to work and a free gym membership with every full-time place.

They accept standard free childcare (15 hours funding) and the extended 30 hours free childcare (funding).

Main Nursery hours 08:00 - 18:00, they operate an early drop off 07:00 - 08:00 service.

The staff in the baby room (and other rooms) are really lovely and take the time to always update me on my son's progress. My son is extremely happy and well looked after. Since my son started at 8 months old he's progressed wonderfully. I always enjoy talking to the staff to see what he has been up
to each day.

I think overall the nursery is doing a fantastic job. The staff are very friendly and are fantastic with my daughters, especially one of them who I feel has come on so much since being here. I would say the nursery is more like family than nursery workers. The only thing I would say is if a member of
staff is getting on and supporting a child, that interaction should stay and the bond remains rather than changing due to short staff. Overall they are all doing a great job.

We are thrilled with the confidence and development this nursery continues to give to our children. They are now in preschool and the progress they continue to make is amazing. Their key worker is brilliant, an essential part of our children's development. They are on board with anything we ask them

Can’t recommend Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Cottingley highly enough. Our son and daughter absolutely love nursery, thanks to the support, encouragement and patience of their various key workers. The nursery is well staffed, has undergone recent refurbishments, both inside and out, and provides everything
our little ones need to thrive. Our son particularly likes his weekly swimming lessons, and our daughter loves her time playing outside on the manor grounds and dancing in the dance studio on the rainier days! Thank you to everyone!

We have twins at Nuffy Bear Day Nursery and we have seen them come on leaps and bounds. The staff are brilliant and always have been communicative towards the progress of our twins. Over the moon with how much the staff and nursery have helped my 3-year-old develop skills and confidence. They are so interested in getting the best out of him and are always communicating with me about what is going on. Anything I want to focus on, they are fully supportive and do as much as they
can to help. My son's key worker is brilliant and she is totally on board with everything he does. She has made nursery life for both myself and my son great and kept my mind at ease. The play environment is perfect for both solo play and group activities. The staff is always encouraging the children to gain confidence in their own ability to do things on their own or with others. Food provided is of great nutritional standard and my son has become confident in helping to prepare his own meals and snacks and has come on leaps and bounds with his fine motor skills. I couldn't be happier with how the nursery and its staff are looking after and teaching my son. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Cottingley enough, my son has been coming for two years this summer and he absolutely loves it. All the staff are amazing and are really attentive to his needs, they give him so much praise for his manners, his good behaviour and he loves every single member
of staff there. They have dealt with the pandemic really well, they have kept parents informed along the way and have been flexible to each parents needs. I really wish he didn’t have to leave this summer to start school.

All the staff are so friendly and always greeting me and the children with a smile. My children have been going to Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Cottingley for the past 2 years and love going each time. Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2004

I have worked in Early Years for the past 18 years. Growing up I always knew that I wanted to work with young people. So when I left school I knew exactly which path I wanted to take. I qualified as a Level 3 practitioner, I found work here in Cottingley and I've been here ever since. I have always been passionate about supporting babies and young children with their learning and developing, paying particular attention to patterns in behaviour and for what each child needs individually to thrive. I love watching the children in our care grow and being a part of that support network for their families.
18 years I have worked at Nuffy Bear previously known as Cottingley Manor and I have enjoyed every minute.
As I progressed through my career I knew that I wanted to share that knowledge I have gained during that time with other practitioners so that together we can achieve great outcomes for all children.
