Nurtured at Skelmanthorpe is set in a quiet village in Huddersfield. The nursery is a 54-place day nursery setting which has 4 rooms over 2 floors.

Their favourite thing to do at nursery is go for walks and on trips. They have a team of 15 qualified staff, who are incredibly friendly, supportive and caring. They have a vast range of extracurricular clubs each term to choose from. They continuously run forest school as they see the importance of nature and outdoor play, as well as offering a sustainable approach to early years care and education. Their special focus around wellbeing is not only for the children and families and the staff team too. They pride themselves on their parent partnerships and always like to involve parents with the events going on in nursery.

They welcome new parents to come and visit and have a look around so you can see the award winning nursery & team. You will see how much the children in their care are supported in reaching their full potential with the team's nurturing approach.

My son has been going to Nurtured for about six months now and he absolutely adores going. He always runs in so happy and loves all the staff. He’s still in the baby/toddler room but I’m so confident that he will feel safe, happy and well-loved/cared for throughout his next selection of years here.
We are so happy with the nursery. He’s made so many lovely friends and the staff always welcome him with big smiles every morning. It’s a lovely local village nursery.

Outstanding nursery! My son absolutely loves coming to Nurture. This is now his 2nd year here, and honestly, we cannot fault it. I can tell how much of an outstanding job they are doing as my son is so eager to go in every day even though he only does 3 days a week. As a parent, I feel so safe and content
that my child is happy at nursery. I love seeing his activity photographs on the app, it makes me so happy. Thank you so much guys. Highly recommend.

My little boy has come on leaps and bounds since starting at Hawthorn Private Day Nursery. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating to every child’s needs and we have seen how quickly he has settled in because of this. His confidence has increased and the exposure he is getting to a range of activities,
stimulus and education is fantastic. We are so relaxed when he is there as we know he is getting the best care from everyone around him.

Our son now loves going to nursery every day, which was not always the case before he joined Hawthorns. The staff are great and he is thriving with the activities and level of care at the nursery. A great team and a great place.

My twin boys have recently started at the nursery. All management and staff have gone above and beyond to cater to their needs. All staff are lovely and welcoming, you can see they're passionate about their jobs and welfare of the children. Couldn't have chosen a better setting for my boys.

Wonderful staff providing amazing care and experiences for the children. My little girl settled amazingly well and absolutely loves it. She is thriving and learns every day, being a teacher this has been a big focus of mine. The staff are understanding of individual needs and facilitate accordingly.

Our daughter has settled in so well, and all members of the staff have been wonderful. Creating a wide variety of activities for the children, with great learning opportunities. I always feel well-informed about what they have been up to during the day. The team have also been great at accommodating
specific dietary needs. All in all, a great nursery reflective of the team working there.

My little boy has settled straight away. The staff are all lovely and are a credit to the nursery. Warm and friendly environment with plenty of community spirit. Extra club options are a bonus. Overall a great place. Would definitely recommend it.

The best decision I made moving my little girl to this nursery! I feel so at ease when I drop her off the staff make you feel so comfortable and provide such a happy and caring environment. My little girl loves her three days at nursery they are packed with lots of creative activities, fun and role
play; it's a really happy and welcoming nursery with so much joy. She gets so much out of the three days she is there! Super, super happy. I recommend this nursery if you are looking at for the best place for your child.

My son settled straight in, the staff are all amazing with the children and constantly keep the app updated. The children do a variety of activities throughout the day. All the kids seem really at ease with the staff and its lovely to see.

Since sending our little boy here, he has come on and learnt so much. You can really tell that the staff are caring and spend time with your child, teaching them in ways which suit them best and catering to their needs and abilities. The staff keep the communication app regularly updated with meals
and naps etc. as well as regular photos. The menu is varied and all the extracurricular clubs and outings are fabulous! I could not recommend this nursery enough.

Best my children have been too. Excellent staff, great facilities. Communication between staff/parents is great. Very happy my children can go to this nursery. As are the children always come home telling me about their days.

Lovely nursery, from the moment I met the manager at the nursery, I was impressed. She is clearly passionate about caring for and the development of children. She has a great ethos that is shared by her wonderful team. Her team is varied in experience levels and a mix of ages which I appreciate. I was
a bit nervous following moving my children from a previous nursery, but the settling in sessions reassured me and the fact you're kept informed about your child's day is priceless. There was absolutely no issues accommodating our child's dietary requirements either. Messy and outdoor play is encouraged and the outdoor spaces are lovely. I love that there is community involvement and chances to stay and play encouraging children to have a sense of local community. They support small and local groups and businesses which I also value. I would highly recommend this nursery, definitely have a look around.

Recently moved to this setting, and it has been the best decision we have made for our daughter. From the start of our preschool journey, the staff have been very warm, welcoming and approachable which has made leaving our little one so much easier! The provision is safe, clean and well resourced providing
lots of activities to promote learning, development and independence. Staff regularly update the parents' app with observations and photos which, as a parent, is great to see what your little one is up to on a daily basis.

Recently moved my children here after what turned into a bad experience at another nursery and so pleased I did. The staff are experienced, caring and engaging and have really helped them both settle. The setting is lovely and they have a great selection of activities each day. There are lots of updates/photos
on the family app. just wish we could have moved them here sooner!
