The Academy @ Almondbury offers children an exciting space to play and learn in, with caring staff who are fully qualified, including four at degree level. Children are encouraged to spend lots of time outside during their nursery day and activities often take place in the Mud Kitchen and Vegetable Garden.


Inside, a range of age appropriate rooms have been fitted with resources and toys that will help children develop both socially and emotionally and educationally.

The staff and management at the Academy I feel always but the children's learning and well-being as a top priority. The transition from baby room to toddler to pre-school is seamless and all the staff endeavour to make the journey an easy one. I cannot praise them enough they are the best. We feel like
an extended family.

An excellent nursery, staff are really helpful and kind. My son loves attending and I have been really pleased with his care and how his learning needs are encouraged in terms of his physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

Both my son and daughter have attended this nursery. My daughter is currently in preschool.
Both my children have had a great time at nursery and the staff have been superb with them.
They have made lots of new friends and always have a smile on their faces when I've collected them. I have every confidence
in the nursery and feel my children are safe.
They, as staff, have also ensured they have developed as children and are at a good stage ready for school.

My granddaughter really enjoys coming to nursery. She likes all the staff, she has come on really well with her development and has learnt a lot, her language skills have really come on and the staff are amazing with her.

My son has gained so much confidence since attending The Academy. All the staff meet him every morning with a warm welcome. He looks forward to every day he spends there.
Since moving up to the toddler room, his speech has come on. Although he's very quiet at nursery, the staff have assured me that
they are going to work on this with him by finding what his interests are and doing one to one work with him surrounding them.
I always highly recommend The Academy to friends as it has been excellent for my son.

The nursery is very organised and over the school holidays, organised daily activities, taking the children on lots of exciting outings. The nursery gets involved in significant events, such as Chinese New Year and Red Nose Day. This helps the children learn about significant events and cultures, giving

The nursery have been excellent and my little boy has fitted right in. It's like he's always been there.
Staff are always friendly and they all know his name. You can see how passionate they all are about their jobs. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son started here in the toddler room and has since progressed to preschool. During this time, I have seen my son's confidence build and flourish. He has always loved going and the staff have made him feel welcome from his first visit. He loves his meals and regularly asks for seconds.
They have
also made us feel welcome as parents and almost part of the family.

All the staff are fantastic and take great care of our child. He enjoys being there and the nursery keep him entertained with varying play activities. The meals are freshly prepared and the children can always have more if they are still hungry. We are kept up to date on what he’s been up to via a daily
report and parents evenings are quite regular. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Nothing but praise. My daughter has been attending since she was 1 year old and now coming towards the end of her time in pre-school. Care throughout has been excellent and she's never once said she's not happy at the Academy or doesn't like it anymore. Lots of activities and trips out have provided
new experiences. Staff are excellent, provide food feedback at the end of each day and take an interest in my daughter. I feel staff get to know her well and fo go above and beyond. Would, without doubt, recommend to others. She prefers the food at nursery to mine.

Friendly staff with an insight and understanding of children and their needs, they showed that they had the ability to encourage children to make friendships and behave well. Outdoor play and learning is always promoted which my child loved. My child was always involved in a range of activities throughout
the week and is a wonderful child, I believe as a result of the contribution the nursery made.
