Active Kids is a fantastic nursery. Both my boys have attended and have thoroughly enjoyed their time at nursery and developed so much during their time there. The staff are really friendly, caring and take an interest in the children's development. My son needs extra help with speech and language and
all the staff have been really helpful, working together with Speech and Language Services to ensure a plan for his development. The pre-school room is great for getting the kids ready for starting school and giving the kids independence - changing into their pumps, question of the day and buttering their own bread to make sandwiches. The nursery has great facilities inside and outside. I love that the kids spend so much time outside and all the activities they have - climbing, zip wires, bikes and scooters, sand pit, hammocks, pirate ships - the list goes on. Inside the children are always doing different and exciting activities and learning lots of new things.

Both my boys have attended Active Kids and one has now moved on to school but one remains. They have thoroughly enjoyed their time.
The staff are a credit to the nursery as well as themselves. Everyone is caring, friendly, welcoming and polite with a genuine affection for the children.
The setting
is well thought out with lots of areas of interest and value. The children can move freely from one activity to another within their age specific area and are prepared for school through a gradual change in what is expected of them as they develop.
The garden is a mixture of mud, grass, chippings, flat, hard, soft areas full of things to climb on, through, under, swing from and jump from. It’s well used in all weathers. I credit the staff for their hardiness in the elements!
Food is great and the menu changed regularly. An excellent mixture of healthy home cooked food.
Children thrive, the staff are motivated and everyone is treated with respect. I absolutely recommend this nursery.

Our two girls are at Active Kids and we are very happy with the care they get.


The setting is lovely, it's divided into 3 areas for the different ages. We like that there is a lot of interaction between the age groups and staff, so moving to the next age group has never been a problem. The outside

area is amazing. There is a separate area for the younger children, with small slides and swings, another area for bikes, trikes etc, a large woodland area with a zip wire, basket swing and plenty of things to climb and play on. The children use these areas every day, whatever the weather.


The staff are very caring and full of enthusiasm. We have always been more than happy to leave our children in their care. Our girls are full of stories of the adventures they've had when we collect them. Along with all the fun they have, both girls are learning so much. The food is all freshly cooked and the children love it. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Active Kids to anyone.

I have two children attending Active Kids nursery. Since starting 2 and a half years ago I have seen the nursery grow from strength to strength and my sons confidence has done the same.


Each child is cared for in an individual way, and children are encouraged to reach their own unique potential.

My son always surprises me with the things that he has learned and has commented on!


I love the way that the outdoor area is a back drop for art, experiments, learning, teamwork, role play and discussion as well as play. In summer they are outside most of the day which works great with the nurseries ethos.


Parent staff communication is excellent, and the new parent link app has been a fantastic asset in keeping me informed of my children's day to day activities and progress.


A really happy, friendly, fun environment for children to learn and develop.

Amazing nursery. Cannot express how amazing the girls are who look after my boy. He's always coming home and telling me about all the wonderful things he has been doing throughout the day. He never wants to come home! He's always eating 2-3 portions of his meals so they must be tasty. He has developed
so well and has so much more confidence in the 5 months he has been there. Keep it up ladies you're doing an amazing job!

Active Kids is a fantastic nursery that both of my children thoroughly enjoy attending. Both have come on incredibly since being at the nursery and enjoy attending (often sulking when they are picked up). I have had no issues and particularly like the extra activities, such as French. The outdoor area
is also fantastic. Highly recommended.

I have tried a few nursery’s with my little boy and I can honestly say Active Kids is by far the best nursery, he settled so well. The staff are so accommodating and friendly, they help calm your nerves when you're worried about your little one. The nursery is very clean and the foods really good for
what my son needs. The outdoor area is amazing and spacious also. The activities they play with the kids are really good too. I would most definitely recommend this nursery to everyone.

Our daughter attended Active Kids Day Nursery for approximately 18 months and was very happy there. The staff are excellent, the food likewise (and is made from scratch) and the facilities, especially the outdoor areas are superb for the children, regardless of age. The outside areas are enclosed on
all sides, so the kids can run off steam in absolute safety. I usually had to drag my daughter away each day!

Both my children attended Active Kids Day Nursery. I cannot recommend Active Kids enough. The care and attention they both received was second to none. The Staff here were all very knowledgeable about my children's learning and paid great attention to ensuring that I was aware of their progress and
they also addressed their personal needs with great care.


The huge outdoor woodland play area is, without a doubt, the best in the area, the children spend most of the day outside, learning, playing and most of all getting the benefit of having the freedom to run around in the fresh air. The food here is fantastic, my children got fresh fruit and vegetables every day and I was never worried that they would come home hungry. Such a fantastic nursery, my children have come away from there being confident, well mannered and full of knowledge. Thank you.

I have two children at Active Kids Day Nursery and both have benefited from the engaging and stimulating environment Active Kids provide. The outdoor area is brilliant and I sometimes can't get my youngest to leave at home time when she's busy playing there!
My oldest is in Pre School and has had
extra help with a stutter which has helped him enormously over the last few months and my youngest is in small toddlers and has learnt some sign language and her confidence over the last year has grown and grown.
The staff are all so caring and helpful and go out of there way to help with any issues that come up. I highly recommend Active Kids to everyone that asks where my children go to nursery.

My son has been with the nursery since he was 9 months old. The staff have always been fantastic with him and I have seen him continually grow in confidence, skills, ability and show his personality daily.
Every day he has completed different tasks and interacted with others, he especially loved the
outdoor play, especially the veg garden.
They have gone the extra mile in flexibility on occasions when required, introduced new learning with French classes, that he adores.
Overall, the ladies there are fantastic and the nursery brilliant.

I just wanted to say what a lovely nursery Active Kids is since my little boy started in August 2015 at the age of 10 months he's come on leaps and bounds, I was very reluctant to let him start nursery but felt he should to socialise with other children and I knew deep down it would be good for him.
He goes two days a week and absolutely loves it, he loves to play with other children, he's growing into such a confident polite little boy.
They do so much with the children here, from messy play, to Making things, to singing, dancing and playing outside. The menus are also the very best, there is such a variety of good healthy foods every week.
I can't thank them enough my little one never wants to leave he has so much fun.

We currently send our 3rd child to Active Kids with our oldest two still having fond memories at aged 10 and 8. Our son is well looked after and cared for with a team of talented staff. Activities are varied and the recently revamped outdoor space is brilliant.

Fantastic staff, my daughter loves going there and talks alot about what she does and who her friends are.
She originally went to a different nursery but cried every day.
Completely different here. Fantastic place to send your child knowing they're safe and learning too!
