We love Daisy Chain Childcare Adel. Three members of staff in particular take such good care of our son and he loves going. They do different activities every day, he's never bored and they tire him out ready for a good night's sleep.
Very happy with Daisy Chain.

Nice and caring staff. Overall happy with the service.
Need more activities inside the room in winter instead of outside.
Staffs are good and engage with the kids and encourage them to join activities which is really good for early age children to develop social skills.

Both of my children attended Daisy Chain in Adel and loved it. All the staff are kind, friendly and have loads of ideas for activities. The front garden is a great play space and also the back. The baby section is well equipped as well. Generally happy kids on pick up which is what you want!

Our son has been attending Daisy Chain for two and a half years now and he loves it. Sometimes he even demands to be taken back when we are going home! He's a very confident happy little boy. The staff are lovely and really work hard so the children enjoy their time there.

We have been absolutely thrilled with our choice of selecting Daisy Chain Adel as our Nursery for our son. The team there go above and beyond to ensure that he is cared for, but also that we are kept in the loop with regard to his progress and development. The team also go to the trouble of hosting
extra-curricular events (usually in the aid of raising money for charities) that are always well organised and executed. We could not speak highly enough of the staff and facilities at the Nursery.

We have been so pleased with our choice of going to Daisy Chain Adel. The staff in the room are beyond amazing with nothing but the best interests of our son in mind. We get really helpful updates (in person and electronically) and there is clear thought about the development.

Our son started at Daisy Chain in autumn and the Pixies team made the transition to nursery so smooth both for him and for us, they kept us updated and worked with us to make sure he settled into nursery life quickly and easily. He loved the staff and his key worker, and it was great to see how comfortable
he was there. Now he has moved to Imps and we couldn’t be happier with the experience he is getting, the team are absolutely magnificent - they truly care for our son and we love the detailed updates and stories we get about his day. The activities are so creative and varied, and it’s great that the children can spend lots of time outside now the weather is improving. Overall our son absolutely loves his time at nursery and he has developed so much since he started thanks to the fabulous input from the team - we can’t thank the staff enough for all their hard work and enthusiasm, they are exceptional and we truly appreciate everything they do.

The nursery is welcoming, warm and fun-packed for our little boy. The bond our son has with his key workers is lovely to see, sometimes running over to them in the morning without looking back. It would be nice if outdoor play could be increased, as our little boy loves the outdoors.

My son started at Daisy Chain in the baby room at the beginning of January - I was originally very nervous to leave him but three members of staff in particular have been absolutely incredible in helping him (and me!) settle in. We love seeing the updates come through on the app and enjoy hearing about
all the things he has done in the day, knowing he is so well taken care of while we go to work is a huge relief. They have also really helped us with weaning and his eating has come on so much in just a couple of months. Thank you to everyone at Daisy Chain for helping us through this transition, we can't recommend this nursery enough.

We have had a wonderful experience this year with our daughter starting in pixies room with her key worker at 14 months. The settling in process was great, the key worker took cues from her and kept us as parents well informed. They’ve done some lovely activities throughout the year and we’ve been kept
up to date on the app where they share photos and observations regularly. The pixies team were so knowledgeable and confident and I’m sure this made our daughter feel secure, but also, as the nursery is small I notice that my daughter is familiar with a number of the staff which (I hope!) will make moving to new rooms smoother.

My son has been at Daisy Chain Childcare Adel since aged 6 months and we cannot thank all the staff enough for the work they have done for helping our little boy grow into the confident, chatty, happy and playful little toddler he is. Sending him there so young was very hard but they have been really
great with us and watching how he has changed from baby to toddler has been amazing and the staff have played a massive part in that. He has just moved from the imps room to the sprites room so his journey will continue for a couple more years and if I am ever asked to recommend a nursery I would say Daisy Chain Childcare Adel every time.

Our little boy has been at Daisy Chain Adel since he was 11 months and all staff have helped both him and us negotiate some particularly tricky separation anxiety over that time. The children are well looked after and do interesting activities most of the time. They are also outside as much as the weather
allows which is great. Admittedly there has been a high turnover of staff over the past year but I believe this is largely due to this being a poorly paid profession in general and with the rising cost of living staff have needed to turn elsewhere to earn enough, it is not a reflection on the nursery. We love Daisy Chain and our son has really flourished under their care.

Daisy Chain standards have slipped in recent years. Staff turnover seems exceptionally high and the atmosphere is not like it used to be.
Some staff members are still exceptional, but the best key workers keep leaving.
It is not as clean or seemingly as stimulating for the child as it used to be.
It’s
a shame as when we sent our first child over 5 years ago, I would have rated it excellent.

My son started nursery five months ago and he settled in very quickly. On his fifth day there, he was happy to be dropped off. He gives the staff a big smile in the morning when he sees them. The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. They are so good at listening and they are genuinely interested
in my son's development. They have recently organised a parent get-together and it was amazing to see my son's baby friends and their parents. It was also good to see my son interacting with the staff. Thank you very much Daisy Chain!!

Martha

Martha Bishop

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2012

Martha has worked in Childcare for over 9 years and has gained vast experience with all age groups from birth upwards. For the last 5 years, Martha has worked at Daisy Chain in Adel as the room leader in the Under-two’s unit. Here she has helped to settle many young children and their families into the nursery. Many of these children have progressed through Daisy Chain and into school and Martha has then continued to welcome their siblings.


Martha has an NVQ in Early Years Level 3 and whilst working at Daisy Chain she has gone on to complete her Level 3 in Management. This has given her the opportunity to become a Deputy alongside the Manager for the last 3 years. This stands Martha in good stead to take over the role of Manager at this current time.


Martha lives with her partner and they are planning on getting married in the near future and they live alongside their 2 ragdoll cats. Martha comes from a strong educational family where her parents and grandparents were all teachers and headteachers. She also has several aunts and uncles who work in the teaching profession.


Martha is bi-lingual in Spanish as she spent her youth growing up in Spain, she, therefore, sought a qualification in teaching English as an additional language to foreign students. She is passionate about supporting children who may have English as an additional language and strives to deliver outstanding care and education to children and families.
