Our child started in the baby unit at Daisy Chain Childcare in Adel and settled in very quickly. She is happy to be dropped off in the morning and at pick up we are given really good feedback about what she’s been doing that day and how she has got on. The staff are friendly, professional and show genuine
care in our child and her development and interests. We get regular updates on the Tapestry app and the activities are varied and fun. We would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery.

We are so happy that we chose Daisy Chain Adel for our son. He joined at 11-months-old a year ago and he has grown and learnt so much with the help of the staff.
They have been very caring and made sure he had a great time while learning. They have supported him with his curiosity and creativity and
he has blossomed.
During the last year, he has grown in confidence and he has mastered new skills including confidently feeding himself using a spoon and a fork.
We have no words to express our gratitude and appreciation.

This nursery is great. The staff are very kind and friendly. My son is developing really well and really enjoys going to nursery. He’s formed good relationships with other children and the staff. They do loads of fun activities with the kids. It has a really nice atmosphere. They give me peace of mind
when leaving him to go to work. Well recommended!

My child loves going into Daisy Chain Adel every day. We are full-timers, so my child spent just as much time with them as with us over the past year. The staff are kind, caring and supportive. They do varied activities and my child really has a special bond with their key worker. Even if there are
issues to raise with the nursery (we all have our own niggles) they are professional, helpful and any changes or updates to be made are prompt and thorough. The staff care about the lives they are shaping and are keen to express their love for my child’s character.
Managing the pandemic, the nursery has been really clear about policy and although there have been one or two cases within the staff, it has been professionally dealt with and I am happy with the level of care taken to minimise disruption wherever possible.

Adel Daisy Chain has been brilliant with my 18-month-old daughter. She loves attending and has made great progress in line with her next steps, which are updated regularly. She talks about her key worker and other staff at home and is always excited to see them when we drop her off.

I am just amazed how my daughter has settled so quickly! She loves going and is always happy to be dropped off at daycare thanks to her settling in sessions and done amazing on her first full day of daycare! Couldn’t say anything bad about the staff as they are all lovely and very helpful! I would 100%
recommend.

The team at Daisy Chain Childcare Adel has been fantastic with my daughter. We moved her to Daisy Chain after hearing excellent feedback from other families whose children attend the nursery. She is looked after so well, never has nappy rash, eats foods she wouldn’t touch at home, and is mastering new
skills every week from her social to fine motor skills. Through the activities and lessons, the team takes the time to plan for in advance each day. They always update the ‘tapestry’ app with information, including photos, so we can see what she has been up to and how she is progressing. At the end of each day, they talk us through how her day has been and answer all our questions no matter how ridiculous they are; they are so patient and caring. Our daughter is growing up in a bilingual household, and the nursery is accommodating with this. They have taken the time to learn keywords and phrases that we use in our house, making sure to use them as much as possible.

We got our son into the nursery when he was about 1 year old and we couldn't be happier. He has been extremely well looked after and has developed well physically and mentally. The staff at all the stages have been brilliant and made sure that he has moved one stage to another seamlessly. They have
been brilliant during COVID. It is a big relief when we know that he will be looked after well at nursery when both of us are working. Every morning he wakes up, the first question he asks is if we are going to nursery and I think there is no bigger compliment than this. We wish them the best of luck.

My two children attend Daisy Chain and both run in every morning excited to see their teachers and friends. The best nursery for my children, who comes every day with a smile on their faces and enthusiasm to meet the great team. They are learning every single day something new and come back home with a lot of stories about the activities. The team is fantastic. It is evident that they make a lot of efforts

My daughter joined the nursery just before her first birthday and the Imps & Pixies baby room quickly became her new home from home. Thanks to the great team she developed a special bond with her key worker and the other staff in the room and settled very well into nursery life. Unfortunately during
the pandemic, the nursery had to close for a couple of months. During the lockdown, my daughter like many children became averse to being away from home, but the team at Imps & Pixies helped to make her return as smooth as possible, and before long it was as if she'd never been away. My daughter has recently transitioned from Imps & Pixies to Sprites, and again the team have gone above and beyond to make this change for my daughter as effortless as possible. Thanks to the team in Imps & Pixies for giving us the best first year of the nursery we could have hoped for, and we're looking forward to what her time in Sprites will bring!

We have been really happy with Daisy Chain Childcare Adel - as has our daughter age 1. Our eldest child went to a different employer-provided nursery and we opted for Daisy Chain due to its location, but we couldn’t be happier. The settling in process was really considered, smooth, thoughtful and lots
of warm smiles and cuddles. The staff have been super. Communication is good and we love the regular photos, videos and feedback. I like that the nursery is smaller than our previous nursery - it feels like a smaller room with less children and staff works really well. It is better for attachment and consistency.
Logistically it couldn’t be better with our eldest at the nearby primary. It seems there is a community of parents and children - great as the kids may end up going to school together.
One time my daughter had a temperature and I loved that she got lots of cuddles and love from the staff in her room in spite of any covid anxieties they may have had. The only change would be to open half an hour earlier.

My daughter reaches out her arms to the staff in the morning and has a massive smile on her face. She is really happy at Daisy Chain. I feel the staff genuinely care about the kids they look after. We are so pleased that we chose Daisy Chain Childcare Adel. I haven’t got anything negative to say about
our experience. Covid, snow, children’s sickness - any potential worry is managed really well, with care, and always with the children’s best interests at the forefront.
Thank you for the smiley photos that come home, the wide range of activities the kids are involved in, the nutritious food, and all the kindness and care.
We know families that haven’t been able to use Daisy Chain due to the 8 am opening time but luckily this hasn’t excluded us.

Our younger daughter has joined Daisy Chain Childcare's fabulous babies room a few months ago, and as we were already familiar with their amazing team and management, we felt quite calm in having our little one following her older sister’s footsteps.
One thing we weren’t sure about was how our younger
one would react to the new environment, after being at home for so long (due to the COVID lockdown). But, thanks to her truly fantastic key-worker and the babies room dream team, she has settled in quite quickly. The care provided in Daisy Chain Childcare Adel is excellent, even during these challenging times.
I will definitely recommend them.

Both my boys have attended Daisy Chain and have been very happy there. The staff have great relationships with the children and provide thoughtful, imaginative, fun activities. My 3-year-old has just returned after lockdown and I couldn’t ask more of the measures in place to ensure safety and cleanliness.
I am reassured that everything possible is being done whilst also providing a bright, fun environment for him to play in and enjoy. He comes home with big smiles on his face and clearly has a great time! We definitely recommend Daisy Chain.

My daughter has been attending Daisy Chain for nearly a year and is really happy here. The outdoor space is brilliant, they play outside a lot and because the windows in the rooms are floor to ceiling they still get a sense of outdoors when inside. The layout of the rooms are that they are next to each
other which I think really supports with the transition as they move up to the older rooms. They have a quiet time after lunch where they pull down the blinds and the children can have a rest. At my daughter's previous nursery they didn’t do this and she never slept and came home so tired, now she gets a good sleep and has a much better routine. The staff are amazing, so enthusiastic and do so many creative activities with her, she has really good relationships with them. They have a chef on-site and fresh home-cooked meals. My daughter loves the food here and eats all sorts that she wouldn’t at home. I love how they all sit together too and on their birthday they make them a cake!

Martha

Martha Bishop

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2012

Martha has worked in Childcare for over 9 years and has gained vast experience with all age groups from birth upwards. For the last 5 years, Martha has worked at Daisy Chain in Adel as the room leader in the Under-two’s unit. Here she has helped to settle many young children and their families into the nursery. Many of these children have progressed through Daisy Chain and into school and Martha has then continued to welcome their siblings.

Martha has an NVQ in Early Years Level 3 and whilst working at Daisy Chain she has gone on to complete her Level 3 in Management. This has given her the opportunity to become a Deputy alongside the Manager for the last 3 years. This stands Martha in good stead to take over the role of Manager at this current time.

Martha lives with her partner and they are planning on getting married in the near future and they live alongside their 2 ragdoll cats. Martha comes from a strong educational family where her parents and grandparents were all teachers and headteachers. She also has several aunts and uncles who work in the teaching profession.

Martha is bi-lingual in Spanish as she spent her youth growing up in Spain, she, therefore, sought a qualification in teaching English as an additional language to foreign students. She is passionate about supporting children who may have English as an additional language and strives to deliver outstanding care and education to children and families.
