Nurtured @ Wakefield provides children with a happy and caring environment where parent partnership is of high importance, allowing parents to have a voice in the nursery and to build professional relationships with the staff team.

There is a full team of qualified and caring and friendly individuals, who work together to encourage a wonderful and nurturing atmosphere. They love excitement, fun, play & laughter. The varied extracurricular activities allow children to find passion in what they enjoy most. The team are always at hand for those all important snuggles when needed.

Nurtured @ Wakefield is inclusive and welcoming to all families, they offer a translation on the nursery management system up to 130 different spoken languages. They have experience of supporting children with diverse needs and welcome and celebrate individuality.

There have been great improvements and investments here, especially with staff, training and resources. Staff create caring, purposeful environments whilst nurturing a love of learning. My little boy has made great progress and I'm so happy with the relationships he has formed with peers and the adults

Thank you for your review. We have worked incredibly hard to ensure the nursery is a wonderful place for the children. We will continue to make the environment and learning opportunities the best possible. Having recently had our Ofsted inspection, you will be able to read the success of our hard work, once this is published we can share this with our parents. I'm sure you will be as delighted as we are. The hard work has paid off! We have lots more plans for the nursery, but it's been expensive work. We moved our children to this nursery in August 2023. We have a child in the baby room and preschool. The staff were incredibly supportive of both children whilst they were settling in. Both children have grown in confidence since starting.
As parents we have been very impressed with the quality of
preschool, our child has improved with their literacy skills since starting. We get regular reports from nursery for both children, so we know where they are in relation to the early years framework.
The outdoor space is amazing and the children spend lots of their day outside. The staff have blown us away with their kindness and professionalism. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My son joined this nursery in September after moving from another one nearby. The staff here have been fantastic, my son settled in quickly, enjoys going and takes part in some great activities. The staff keep us well informed of his day and we get regular updates on his progress. An absolutely amazing
team!

Fantastic place and staff is absolutely brilliant. Had all sorts of not great experiences with other nurseries and Nurtured @ Wakefield is by far the best one. Helped us massively with our son and gave us very good parenting tips. Can't praise them enough!

Both my children attended the nursery and are now in the holiday club that services their school. I have always been really impressed with the commitment of the staff who continuously provide second to none care for both my children and other children who attend the setting. The facilities are more
than adequate and the outside play area is amazing. The children have so much space and outdoor equipment to help them grow, learn and develop. My children have attended from being babies and the transitional process used has prepared them well for school. They still love going to the holiday club and will often ask when they are going to see their friends and the staff. The exceptional service provided for both drop off and pick up from school allows me to have peace of mind when I am at work and unable to do it myself. This is certainly a nursery that offers great value for money, which for me comes second to knowing that my children are in a safe, fun and caring environment.

Both my children have been attending Happy Days since they were one, they're now 6 and 8 years old, and they love it. They have progressed through all the stages and are now in the after school club. I have never had any cause for concern at the nursery and my children have never said that they don't
want to go. They have made great friends with other children that attend and with the staff. The staff are lovely and caring.
The facilities available at the nursery are excellent and provide a great learning environment for all ages; the outside area is wonderful and HUGE and has an all weather section! Children spend a lot of time outdoors in all weather. Food is freshly prepared every day and provides a varied range of different foods for the children to try, they also have tasting sessions for the less common foods.
My children have always been encouraged in their development and have always felt included in all activities. I would not hesitate in recommending Happy Days to anyone.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. My eldest daughter has been attending for almost 3 years and has always loved it. She gets excited when we arrive in the car park and talks positively about all the staff long after I have picked her up. She really enjoys all the activities and the outside play
area/garden is much bigger than any other nursery in Wakefield that I have seen. The staff are attentive, which I know because my daughter refers to staff giving her cuddles when she falls over or if she is tired. I am aware new staff have joined recently but this has not phased my daughter as she refers to each of them by name and is comfortable playing with them. In the 2/3years my daughter has attended she has never said she didn't want to go to nursery or cried when I told her that she is going. I also think the nursery is very good value for money and is cheaper than local nurseries around.

My child loves this nursery and has been going for a few years, for me, however, they don't seem to be able to keep staff very long (they had a large amount leave at once after management changed). Since there appears to be a new staff member every month making it difficult to keep track and to be able
to build up some trust. I would like to point out that the team who have stuck around are amazing I can tell they really care about my child's needs and education.


The nursery itself is in a fantastic place being about 5 minutes from the town centre it is far cheaper than the nurseries around it (by a landslide). The outside area is huge and they have separate play areas for the different ages but do encourage everyone to play together, inside its clean and well decorated.


One of the biggest downsides is the only entrance into the grounds means you have to walk through the small carpark which does get very busy during peak times.

Staff training and development is a large part of the ethos of Happy Days, this, therefore, means that unfortunately staff outgrow the setting. Recently a member of our team has left to become a teacher and another has moved out of child care completely, opting for a career change. Over the last 7months we have had 4 new members join our team, we do however appreciate that this may seem a lot to parents. Staff training and retention will always remain a high priority for all at Happy Days.
