Our experience of Busy Bees has been nothing but great. We couldn't ask for anymore in regard to the care for our daughter. The staff are all friendly and approachable, never hesitate to help us if we have a problem.
Our daughter is always excited when she arrives at nursery and sometimes doesn't want
to leave. Her development has come on leaps and bounds that is all because of the activities and attention she gets from nursery. We are really pleased we chose Busy Bees Wakefield.

The staff make this nursery. They are just brilliant and my grandchildren could not be happier.
My 4-year-old has been going for two years and my 1-year-old has taken to it without a huff - they both love it!
Interesting activities, lots of structured social interaction and just a really nice environment/atmosphere.

Every single member of staff goes above and beyond daily and I feel at ease leaving my little boy knowing he is always having fun. Since starting nursery in May 2023, my little one has come out of his shell and is becoming a confident, cheeky, crazy little boy who is into everything. Although I'd love
to take the credit, this is actually down to his new key worker and all the time and effort she gives him. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and passion they have for all the kids.

I have the great role of taking my granddaughter to and from nursery over the past eighteen months. During this time, I have seen her grow and develop at an astonishing rate thanks to the caring, supportive and stimulating environment she is immersed in at Busy Bees. I have seen the Busy Bees team recover
from the impact of the pandemic and deliver a first-class service. I must mention the food, freshly made on the premises which brings new experiences and taste as well as being super healthy. At the end of the day, I collect a tired little girl full of stories about her day and above all else, a very happy little girl.

Busy Bess has provided excellent childcare for my son over the three years he has attended the nursery. The staff have always shown an interest in the children, even when they are not in the child's company, such as the kitchen and support staff in the office. My son has had several key workers who
have always given him the care, attention and development skills needed. They have been very balanced, praising him but also correcting him when his behaviour has been questionable. Well done Busy Bees.

My son has been attending the nursery for two years. I can say more good than bad. My child's keyworker is like child's mum, always helpful, with a smile and you and your kid can trust her. All staff are good.
The main thing is that you know your child is happy and safe.

Excellently managed nursery. My son has always been happy here since the day he joined. He loves his key workers and are always happy to answer any of the questions I had. Awful Nursery Director. My baby has sensitive skin and may have a milk allergy. After the 2nd settling-in session, she used a disrespectful attitude to ask us to provide a GP letter and have an allergy test before my baby could join the full-day nursery.
When I called to discuss, she questioned why
my 7-month-old baby had only tried 7 types of food, suggesting that he should be consuming many more by his age. I found this comment both insensitive and disrespectful. My baby has sensitive skin and needs more time to try new foods safely. Her suggestion that I should introduce a wide variety of foods in a short period, coupled with her dismissive attitude, was highly inappropriate. Every time I try to communicate with her, she constantly interrupts my conversation. She keeps using a blaming attitude and questioning my way of taking care of my baby. Please think carefully before letting your baby attend Busybee Wakefield, especially if your baby has sensitive skin.

Busy Bees Wakefield is outstanding. The care my 18-month-old son receives in Bambo 2, is second to none. All of the staff in the room truly care about him, showing kindness and compassion whilst being fun and creative. The activities they do each week are brilliant and innovative, keeping my son's attention
and exposing him to new play ideas. All of this is possible from the exemplary leadership of the nursery manager.

Busy Bees Wakefield has been wonderful for my daughter to thrive and grow up in a happy, fun and nurturing environment. All staff have been amazing from day one. They are all super friendly and welcoming. They give detailed feedback about how my daughter is doing and what she has done in her day.

We are so happy with our experience at Busy Bees - all of the staff are supportive and caring. My daughter's confidence and abilities have come on so far and she adores her time here. She is excited to come and see her key worker and friends each week and we feel that she is learning all she needs to
set her up well for primary school too. She has also come a long way with her eating and willingness to try new foods, I think in large part due to the varied menu here and eating with her peers.

I first visited Busy Bees (Wakefield) for a visit to look around for my daughter and instantly felt welcome, the nursery had a warm, family feel to it. My daughter started at a months old and is nearly about to turn four. Throughout room changes and her first day, both me and my daughter were comforted.
All staff made us both feel welcome and I know she is safe and well looked after. It has been lovely seeing her progress more thanks to everyone's help and will miss everyone when she has to leave. I will be grateful for everything.

Our son has attended Busy Bees at Wakefield for a year (aged one and a half to age two and a half). We cannot believe the progress he has made in his speech, social skill and physical development. The staff in the baby room2 and toddler room have been so kind and loving and the admin staff are excellent.
Being regularly updated on the app is an added perk. Busy Bees is an outstanding nursery and we would confidently recommend them to any friends and family with children.

Our experience of Busy Bees has been exceptional. The staff and especially the key workers provide a stable and comforting environment for our children, they always go out of their way to ensure every need is met. Our children love Busy Bees and have a strong bond with key workers which is so important.
The activities, play, engagement have been vital in our childrens' progression and learning. We are extremely happy with every aspect and support provided to our children but also us as parents.

My daughter loves Busy Bees, although she is quiet and shy she has a lovely relationship with the staff, in particular, her key worker. We have lots of her artwork, she will sing songs that she has learnt at nursery with the correct actions and we have lots of photographs of play taking place. The various
meals are also of a good variety. We have found the parent zone app great at keeping us updated on the ongoings throughout the day. We would recommend Busy Bees to any parent.

Choosing a nursery for our little boy was a daunting task but the staff at Busy Bees have made him so very welcome and have helped him thrive from the very first day.
Our boy loves attending nursery and is kept endlessly entertained by a range of activities and educational activities that have supported
and accelerated his development.
The most impressive thing about this nursery is the genuine love and care the staff show the babies - at one year old, all we want is for our little boy to know he is cared for and cherished no matter where he is and the staff at Busy Bees provide him with such warmth and affection that we really couldn't ask for more. We would recommend this nursery without hesitation and cannot speak highly enough of their work or of our gratitude for the way they support and care for our child - we feel very lucky that this is our nursery.

Hello, I am Lauren and I am the Centre Director here at Busy Bees in Wakefield.


I am a Level 3 qualified early years educator and have been since 2012. I have worked in various nurseries since qualifying and within this time I have gained lots of experience working with children and I thrive off seeing the children grow and learn. I enjoy being in this sector of work as it is such a rewarding job. I am very focused on building positive relationships with the children, parents/carers and my staff.
