Formerly known as Blaydon Day Care, Spring Nursery Blaydon is situated within the grounds of Parkhead Primary School.

Open 51 weeks of the year between 8:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. For eligible parents, the setting offers 15 free hours per week through two-year funding, together with the extended up to 30 hours available for three and four-year-olds.

An established staff team works hard to build relationships with parents/carers so that views are valued and are included in the child’s learning and development. Keyworkers plan activities which are developmentally appropriate to each child’s individual needs and interests providing reassurance in a warm, safe environment.

As a Spring nursery, the setting shares the aim to encourage every child to discover their own individuality and to learn about the modern world through play.

I'm so happy we chose Spring Nursery in Blaydon for our childcare needs. All staff are very friendly and caring and my little boy is happy to go into nursery each day. They have developed lovely learning environments for the children to explore and it also has a warm, cosy feel too. There is great communication
via the app so I know how my baby is doing throughout the day and I can see how his development is monitored via their observations. They have also been flexible when needed to add additional days. Would highly recommend.

The most amazing nursery, who always go above and beyond in levels of care and support. My son has settled in so well, all the staff are so friendly and supportive for both parents and child.
Even on 2 days a week, we can see how much our boy has come on walking, playing, sharing, and with his words.
We're so impressed and so grateful.
Our baby is due to start in the new year and we feel really confident going to work and leaving our little ones in the amazing care of the staff at Spring Blaydon.

My son started the nursery in February 2024, at the time he was a year and a half old.
For him, it was the first experience and the first time he had been left with someone different to Mama.
I am really glad and grateful to the Spring Nursery staff as my son has been really happy and content attending
the nursery. He goes two days a week and he really loves it. He goes happy and comes back happy.

The staff at Spring are absolutely amazing. My little girl loves going to nursery and just runs in and says 'Bye Mammy, see you later'.
The staff always let you know how your little one has been during the day/what they've eaten etc.
If any concerns are raised about a child's development they will
support you in any which way they can. They've been fantastic with my little girls' hearing/sensory issues
I can't recommend Spring Blaydon enough.

Our son started nursery here in 2024.
We were pleased with the induction - lots of clear communication and the offer of extra sessions to help him settle in.
Our son seems very happy at the nursery. He’s stimulated and always comes out with a spring in his step. The nursery staff have made an effort
to get to know him and what he likes.
The ongoing communication with us is also excellent, and the nursery is very accommodating with extra sessions when required.

Spring Nursery is a fantastic setting, the staff are absolutely incredible. My son has attended since January 2023 and I have had nothing but amazing results. The staff have helped him smash each milestone and help encourage him to the next! An amazing nursery with even better staff!

Fantastic nursery with lovely, caring staff! They provide various activities that certainly help with my son's development. The management is great, and so is communication with the staff. My favourite thing is the extensive observations of my son's activities during the day. My friends' children attend
different nurseries in the area and their observations are one or two sentences long, they actually can't believe when they see mine. My son is always happy to come to Spring Nursery and it's hard to take him home, which I think is the best recommendation!

My children have attended Spring Nursery since 2019 including the duration of the pandemic. It has been an immensely valuable experience for both of my children. The staff (front line) are excellent and deliver a fantastic level of care and support. Spring Nursery's ethos and attitude towards early
SEN support are fantastic and I was fully supported in getting a relevant diagnosis for my son. Both kids have made amazing progress and wouldn't be where they are without Spring! All the staff down to the cleaning staff are amazing.

Our daughter has had a wonderful experience over her past three years at nursery. Spring Nursery has always been there with a smile and a cuddle and for a child starting after months of Covid quarantine she has blossomed! After viewing a number of different settings in our area, we knew that Spring was perfect for our little girl from the moment we walked through the door!
They have so many different areas for the children to explore and even incorporate the children’s specific interests into their daily play which
has been lovely! My daughter runs into nursery excited each day without even looking back, she loves all of the staff who seem really passionate about her learning and development. We would definitely recommend Spring Nursery and have even kept our daughter in whilst I am back on maternity as she loves going so much!

I have worked in childcare since 2001, in this nursery since 2015. Recent Ofsted inspections rated the nursery Good and we are continually striving to achieve outstanding.
