The recently refurbished Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newbiggin makes you feel like you've gained new family members when you meet their friendly, approachable team at their purpose-built, all-on-one level nursery.

Their ParentZone app keeps parents informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals are eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why all their staff are Paediatric first aid trained.

The nursery are Green Flag eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, such as encouraging them to be independent to expressing their feelings.

The nursery has an outdoor play area that is surrounded by the remainder of the building, making it a safe and secure environment for children to play in. Staff and children take advantage of all of the local amenities which include two play areas, one at the entrance to nursery and one at the rear.

The girls in the nursery are fantastic they have made my little girl so welcomed to there team I would highly recommend the nursey. My little one has come on so much over the past few months singing dancing counting etc. So happy with what she is achieving.

My grandson attends this nursery in the pre-school group. He always has lots to talk about when he comes home and always goes in with a smile on his face. The staff are friendly and approachable and are great with keeping you up to date with the children's progress.

From day one, staff were so friendly and kind towards myself and my son.
My son seems to love it there so far.
Nursery seems so secure which I like.
Nursery is very clean and tidy.
They provide everything for your child from food to nappies, creams etc. so all that's needed is spare clothing
in case of accidents or change of clothing if outside and get dirty or weather is horrible.
I highly recommend this nursery.

My son currently attends this nursery and loves his key worker, he's always talking about her and some of the other carers.
He really enjoys attending nursery and talking about the friends he's made there.
I really enjoy reading the observations on the app and getting regular updates about how my
son is getting on with suggestions of things we can do to help his development at home.

The overall duty and care this nursery has for our son is exceptional. Phenomenal to say the very least. Every single staff member make ourselves and our son feel so comfortable. The learning and educational facilities are second to none, which is evident in the way our son has grown and developed each

Really friendly and welcoming, highly recommend, staff are very caring and there is a lot of facilities for the kids to enjoy and learn. My daughter has been here for two weeks and she is already talking more and communicating.

My son has attended Co-op Childcare Newbiggin since November 2021, and I can already see the progress both physical and intellectual - he enjoys his time in the nursery where he learns while having fun.
The staff are very polite, caring, and professional, and encourage the children to progress in
a safe protected environment while keeping us informed at all stages, by their continuous reflections and reports on the App.
I will definitely recommend Co-op Childcare Newbiggin to any parents looking for a nursery, don't take my words for it but go and visit yourself.

Our daughter has attended Co-op Childcare Newbiggin for a year now and we are thrilled with her progress. The nursery has been a great support and we are so pleased we made the decision to send her here. We viewed a few in the area before finding Co-Op Childcare Newbiggin, the facilities, cleanliness
and staff were far superior to others we looked at.


We would absolutely recommend Co-op Childcare Newbiggin to any parents looking for a nursery.

My son always has a brilliant time coming to nursery which helps me feel relaxed while at work. My son has been starting to potty train and staff have been so supportive and patient in helping him.

My daughter is 1-year-old and has been attending this nursery for a couple of months now. The first thing I noticed is how happy she was to go in and coming out at home time. The staff are friendly and keep you up to date with all information needed about your child for reassurance. My daughter has
developed in her social skills and confidence especially! She has learned new skills and loves to explore the many areas of exciting activities set up daily!
My only criticism would be that the meals are set meals from a daily menu and children don't get a choice, this is not an issue for me because if I was concerned my daughter wasn't enjoying any meals I would send in a packed lunch and she always has a meal/supper at home after too.
The nursery provides all essentials for your child which takes the stress out of taking in stock.
I would recommend this nursery if you are happy for your child to come out looking messy from all the fun they've had with their friends and play activities.

My son started this nursery in June this year, being a lockdown baby I get very anxious about leaving him. All the staff members have gone above and beyond for my son and I love seeing updates throughout the day through the app. My son becomes so excited when I walk towards the nursery doors.
The nursery
itself is immaculate, resources are amazing and the management team are also accommodating and friendly, booking my son in extra when needed.
Very professional, friendly staff who treat my son as if he is their own child.
I highly recommend. I viewed several and no other nursery comes close.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Our daughter attended Co-op Childcare and as a first-time parent, letting your child go to strangers is hard and knowing that your child is happy and being cared for is the most important thing. The management and staff instantly gave us a feeling of being with
family friends and we knew our daughter was in very safe hands. We were immediately put at ease and the relationships that she, and we too as parents, have formed with staff can only be described as warm, supportive, and secure. Communication is excellent and they are so thoughtful. They do so much for the community and for charity too. I have often been astounded by what my daughter has learnt there and the speed of it. Learning is creative, imaginative, and always through play. Every single thing they do has the children's happiness and wellbeing at its heart. Quite simply, It is an outstanding provider. We could not imagine a better nursery.

I have had all 3 of my children here and it’s a great place for them to go and they have all loved it here. My daughter is still there now and loves going, she would go every day if she could. If I have any further children I would send them here.

I was a very nervous parent when looking for a nursery for my daughter, I had visited numerous nurseries. Newbiggin made me feel most comfortable and at ease. They explained all aspects of the nursery prior to choosing the nursery e.g. routine, outdoor/indoor ratio, key workers and meals, to name a
few. Management were able to accommodate all my needs and answered all my questions. One of the best qualities about the nursery is their equipment, following the curiosity approach and the amazing activities implemented. My daughter has an amazing bond with her key worker, she took the time to get to know her and made her more comfortable and confident in the nursery, my child speaks about her fondly at home and gets excited to see her too. When my child comes home she talks about nursery, all the friends she has and what she has been doing that day.
