I couldn't fault management at rake lane she's always there for support and very approachable, the staff are fantastic they're also caring and friendly and do a fab job in taking care of my boy! Overall my boy loves nursery and gets excited when arriving.

Kids 1st Rake Lane is a lovely nursery and I feel very confident that my daughter is well looked after and has a fun and educational time each day. The nursery staff are lovely and listen to concerns and work with parents, in my experience, to meet the needs of the child. The last 12months during the
pandemic have been difficult for everyone but all staff at the nursery have always been happy and smiling when I drop off and pick up my daughter. This has given my daughter routine and stability during this time which I thank Kids 1st Rake Lane for all their efforts. The communication in general and on specific covid topics is good.
I also like the new parent's app which is being used now, allowing me to see photos of activities my daughter has been doing that day, what she has eaten and how her potty training is going.

Speaking of behalf of my wife and I, I am happy to express that we couldn’t be more happy with the care our children who are twins, receive at Kids 1st Rake Lane. The staff are always so friendly, cordial and professional and the nursery is brilliantly run under the leadership of the manager. Our girls
have had a range of different developmental experiences there due to the wide-ranging selection of activities organised for the children. Our girls very much enjoy their time at Kids 1st Rake Lane and it has played a critical role in their development. The nursery itself is also very clean, bright, colourful and well laid out. The external play area is perfect. Their management of the nursery due to the pandemic has been excellent and we’ve constantly felt very assured that our children are in safe hands. All in all, this is a superbly run nursery with staff who could not do any more for our children than they already do. My wife and I are grateful to everyone at Kids 1st Rake Lane.

My daughter has been attending Kids 1st Rake Lane for 6 months, in this time she has developed significantly and I know a lot of this is due to nurturing from the staff at kids first.
During the covid 19 pandemic Kids First have been exceptionally, they have gone above and beyond to keep everyone
safe.
It really is a lovely nursery and I go to work knowing my little girl is happy, you can’t ask for much more.

The team at Rake Lane always do a fantastic job, but this has been particularly evident in the last year. They continued to provide excellent childcare despite the challenges of lockdown. They have been nothing but professional, even though their jobs have undoubtedly been made more difficult with temperature
checks, PPE etc.
Most importantly they have done it all with a smile on their face, ensuring the children feel welcome and reassured each day. Thank you Kids 1st!

From the moment we looked around the nursery I knew I had a good feeling about the place. Well organised, a good balance of outdoor space and the staff are second to none. My child loves going to nursery and she always comes home shattered from all of the fun activities as well as being well-fed throughout
the day. Wouldn't consider putting her anywhere else. Great friendly and safe space - managed well throughout the global pandemic too.

Very friendly staff. Can't fault the care provided. Good variety of food and activities. The parent app is also very helpful.
The only downside is that you have to pay for nursery days if they happen to fall on a bank holiday, despite the fact that the nursery is closed. This amounts to over £400
per year in our case! Paying for absent days caused by sickness and holidays is however understandable.

I absolutely love this nursery and my son loves it. The nursery team was so patient and caring when he first started and they understood it will take a while for him to get accustomed to being away from home. They listened to my worries and concerns and I was reassured that he is getting the best care.
His key worker was fantastic, in fact, all the staff that help to look after him are wonderful. And as a result, my son loves going to nursery. It's become his home away from home. That's how I would describe this nursery "it's a home away from home".

My son is currently in Dolphins and an older child has been through their journey at the nursery. We love everything this nursery do. What a fantastic job has been done to keep our children happy and safe through the pandemic. I can skip to work knowing how happy and safe our little one is, our little
boy skips into nursery every day. The staff throughout the centre are fantastic, offering cuddles and nurture, supporting our little one to be confident and excel and thrive as they grow. A massive thank you to the manager and each and every one of the nursery team, you are all amazing.

We love this nursery, the management and the team are all fabulous, always friendly, professional and approachable. Special mention for the manager and all of the staff in Starfish 2.
Our little boy loves coming to nursery and is coming on in leaps and bounds with his development. I love the pictures
and messages we get every day, especially the ones tracking his milestones.

My son started nursery during the first lockdown and I was very anxious as he didn’t have the usual settling in days. However, I need not have worried as the staff went above and beyond to look after him and he settled in really quickly. Throughout the pandemic the staff have shone, always greeting
the children and parents with a smile (behind a mask) despite the ever changing regulations. My son is loving and thriving at nursery and this has allowed him to develop into an energetic toddler who loves exploring.
Also the staff and management have been fantastic with dealing with Covid symptoms and updating everyone when a positive case has been found.
Overall this nursery has exceeded my expectations and taken everything in their stride with Covid. Thank you for providing a lovely environment for my son.

The nursery staff have been absolutely fantastic throughout the pandemic. They clearly put the children's interests and needs first, and have been very responsive to parent suggestions on how to improve processes. Would certainly recommend the nursery to anyone.

Kids 1st at Rake Lane has brought our son on leaps and bounds since he started in September!
The staff in his room (Seahorse 2) are phenomenal with him and he absolutely loves going to nursery each morning!
I can’t recommend it enough!

I can't praise Kids 1st Rake Lane enough. The professionalism and communication they have shown over the last 12 months has been amazing!
I was worried about my son returning last year, however, the measures they put in place, the attention to details and adapting to this strange situation put my
mind at ease straight away.
They are so committed to ensuring every child is safe, happy and is developing! They are always there with a smile and I feel so comforted that my son gets to go here each week knowing they are doing everything they can to make his day brilliant.

The staff have been fantastic. My 3-year-old daughter loves coming to nursery and the staff have been excellent with her, even during the pandemic the staff have been great, guidelines have been followed and procedures put into place to make sure everyone is safe. Communication is second to none and
all information is received promptly as and when needed. My youngest daughter started nursery just before Christmas and she has settled in fantastic, the staff have looked after her so well and comforted her when she needed it, she has settled in so fast and loves walking into nursery to see her friends.

The staff are always loving and cheerful.
My daughter had mentioned being hit by another child. Kids 1st moved her bubble and she hasn't mentioned it since. I was listened to and my worries acted upon immediately.
My daughter was reacting unhappily to being wiped at nappy time at home. The same
day I was given a report on how she was at nursery and I now don't worry.
She is happy there, comes home clean which isn't terribly important but if you've got to bath them straight away it's hard work.
I like the online report and my emails get answered straight away. The manager clearly leads by an excellent example.
I haven't seen inside her playroom, or the food or witnessed the staff at work so have rated good. But I know she is happy and well cared for.

My little boy has attended Kids 1st Rake Lane since he was 9 months old. I couldn't fault Kids 1st even through the past year (with covid) I have had not one concern as I have always known and had no doubt in my mind that my child is well looked after and safe.
I couldn't thank the staff enough over
the past couple years for all the care, love, support and guidance they have give to my little boy and me. They have helped raise one amazing happy little boy.

Since my son started in November 2020, I have been so impressed with all aspects of the nursery.
The one thing that stands out over and above everything else is the genuine care from every member of staff. After spending most of his life in some form of lockdown, I was a little concerned how my son
would adapt to spending his days with new people. He instantly adjusted and practically runs into the nursery every morning, clearly excited to spend another day there!
Despite the restrictions, the communication from the nursery is excellent.
I can really see how my son has developed from his time at nursery so far and I am looking forward to seeing this continue.
I would also like to mention the high quality of the food, I’m often jealous when I see the report of his meals each day! And clearly he is a fan, rarely leaving anything. The variety and nutritious value of each meal is great!
I am so grateful to have found this nursery and know it is giving my son a great start in life!
