Kids 1st Sunderland, Cleadon provides a flexible nursery service, with a facility made up of six open-plan rooms which allow a wide range of learning and many different play activities to take place; each fully supervised by professional staff and key workers who safeguard the development of each child.

The nursery has a specially designed outdoor garden area, with carefully chosen resources to encourage physical coordination skills. It produces freshly-prepared, healthy and nutritious meals thanks to own qualified chef.

Having had my son at a childminder, we found his development, since moving to Busy Bees has developed 10 fold. He interacts more with other children and flourishes every day thanks to the staff at Busy Bees. I can't praise them enough.

We have been using Bust Bees at Sunderland Cleadon since my daughter was 1 year old. She is now nearly at school age. She's been in every room had a lot of excellent key workers. Throughout the whole experience, she has come on leaps and bounds, it's thanks to Busy Bees that she has become the happy
well-adjusted girl she has.

I attended a Mother's Day afternoon tea that was nicely presented and a great opportunity to see the nursery. My daughter has moved rooms and her key workers have always made time to see me regarding her transitions.

My son has attended Busy Bees since being 8 months old and all of the staff have played a vital role in making his time here so special. He thoroughly enjoys his days here and has experienced a vast range of activities in physical, cookery and science clubs. It was a fantastic experience being able

Busy Bees nursery is an outstanding nursery which my daughter has attended from the age of six months, she enjoys her time that she spends at nursery and talks about her day at home. The management and staff are lovely and always on hand if I have any problems or questions, I feel at ease having my

My daughter has been attending the nursery one day a week since she was 11 months old, and she is now 18 months. She loves coming to nursery and will often come back with artwork that she has completed that day. I love hearing all of the fun learning activities that she does each day. All of the
staff have been excellent and are very welcoming when she arrives in the morning. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

Hello, I am Faye Mitchell and I am the Centre Director of our Sunderland Cleadon Centre.


I was appointed as the Centre Director in July 2017. I have over 15 years of experience in Early Years. I love working at the Centre. The building itself boasts a unique character and with 5 spacious rooms, helps to create exciting environments for the children to explore. The staff team here make me incredibly proud as they all show such dedication and care towards our children.
