Little Pioneers Tavistock are big on happy children. They have regular visits to a local care home, focus on taking care of each other and the world and have areas for growing food (and eating it).

The nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL staff are paediatric first aid trained. They use 5 Little Pioneers to help share core values with children from making a difference in the world to expressing their feelings.

They use an app called ParentZone which keeps parents and carers informed about life at nursery days and includes photos from their day, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

Absolutely amazing team that work with our kids that's all I could ask for they have lots of patience and experience my nephew is coming on great after joining the nusery he loves it and also loves his teacher.

My daughter is only in her 6th month of nursary and with it has been it's challenges, as with most children, the roller coaster of loving it but not wanting to show mammy and daddy on drop off's. But all staff have been beyond patient and kept us up to date with how well and fast she has settled, easing
any anxiety. We love our little updates of all the fun the little ones are having, and staff share lovely little stories or how my daughter has made them laugh upon pick up. All staff are so approachable and lovely to speak to, and you can see they truly care about all of the children and their needs, and how to make nursery a happy, safe space for each individual. We are very happy we chose Little Pioneers Tavistock

The practitioners at Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Tavistock are fantastic! The development in my daughter since starting two years ago is beyond what I expected. She has grown in confidence with her peers and is always happy at pick up and excited to tell me about her activities during the day.

Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Tavistock have been amazing looking after my daughter, the staff are always so friendly and so kind they make my daughter feel safe. I was so nervous about letting my daughter come to the nursery as I was worried about leaving her but the girls made me and my daughter
feel so welcome.
The staff are so kind and lovely and the building has amazing security! I get daily updates and pictures from my child's key worker and she is always smiling and laughing.
The management are also amazing they helped us through some difficult times and supported us when we needed them too and we appreciate this greatly.
Overall, I think this nursery would be a great place to take your child they support children so well and help them engage in play and learning with amazing activities and fun days for the children!

We are incredibly happy with the nurturing environment at Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school. Our child has thrived here, showing significant progress in their social skills, language development, and overall confidence. The teachers are patient, attentive and create engaging activities that align
perfectly with our child's learning style. We particularly appreciate the emphasis on outdoor play and the regular updates we receive about our child's day through their online portal. We highly recommend Little Pioneers Nursery and Preschool to any family seeking a high-quality preschool experience. Our son has been going there for almost 4 months now. It has been truly wonderful, and we could not be happier. What an amazing place for children! Every staff person I met was polite, professional, and friendly. The teachers and teacher assistants are patient, speak kindly with the children, and are very communicative with parents.

My 11 month old son has been at Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Tavistock for a couple of months now and has started to settle in the baby room with the girls who work in there. They were very attentive, suggesting staggered starts, where he would do shorter days to ease him in. I was offered
extra visits to help settle him too. Staff are all very friendly and smiley.
It is a lovely, modern nursery, with excellent security system to ensure children's safety when going in and out of the building as well as the rooms. They even have a pet budgie and African snails. It has a spacious outdoor area with excellent apparatus to promote physical development. There is also a sensory room and a garden room for the children and babies to access which they use on days where they can't access the garden.
Overall, I'm very happy with how my little boy is settling and couldn't praise the girls in the room more.

I don't have enough good things to say about the nursery and staff. My daughter absolutely loves it here and is thriving. My favourite thing is how happy my daughter is going in. She has an amazing bond with the staff and I can't thank them enough for looking after her.

Since my daughter joined the nursery, the changes have been tremendous and I cannot thank the staff enough for the effort put into my child to ensure her growth process is perfect. My child barely talked before joining in September, and now, she comfortably pronounces words and even tries to have a

Brilliant nursery in general, staff are amazing at making sure the children/child settles into the classroom. The only part I think personally that could be improved is maybe a choice of sandwich or multiple choice of meals in case the children/ child does not like that meal that's provided on that
specific day.

Great staff and facilities. We instantly got a great feeling when visiting our daughter's nursery. She was extremely curious about the different areas and formed a strong relationship with her key worker within her first few days.
When we first started taking our daughter here we were as nervous as
any new parents taking their child to nursery for the first time. We were met with warm reassuring staff, and steady feedback on activities, meals and sleep through the app. Admittedly this is less frequent now she is 6 months into her time at nursery but we see this as time spent either nurturing their development or reassuring other new parents. We always get a daily debrief from the staff at pick-up time and most importantly our daughter is always happy when we collect her.
Thanks for everything you do for our thriving daughter in your support of her development, socially, educationally and most importantly her general well-being.

Little Pioneers Tavistock is a brilliant nursery. I have had both my children in Little Pioneers Tavistock and the team there pay real care and attention to the children.
They build positive relationships that make the children feel at ease and almost like they are in a second home.
My daughter loves
her key worker and all the other team members in her class, she runs in with open arms and has a brilliant time. I leave her without a worry at all as I know she is in safe hands. I have trialled two nurseries closer to my home with my second child and both were not good in my opinion, therefore the extra travel for me was worth it, to know my daughter was looked after right and happy.

I've picked grandson up only to find out when arriving home several hours later that his had soaking wet socks on which they have put his trainers on top of despite them have a supply of socks. On another occasion I arrived to him playing with nothing but a nappy on in the middle of winter being told
they were attempting to get him changed however had no clean clothes out to get him changed into. He has been sent home in winter with a thin top, no vest despite having a supply. I came into him lying down for a nap just his bottoms on no vest or top on. Today picked up took him to the car to put a clean nappy on, took his nappy off to a massive scratch on his bum cheek and the nappy had been that tight it had rubbed his legs so bad he had blisters on his groin. The manager tried to say he had scratched himself through his nappy breaking the skin, the blisters on his groin was cause he had pooed. GP said nappy had been too tight then he had been left in a wet nappy which rubbed, causing blisters.

My daughter started this nursery in June 2023 and has just recently left and the care she received whilst being at this nursery, I couldn't have been more happier with. She used to be so happy and excited about going to nursery to see all her teachers and her friends. Everyone was so loving and caring
which was very reassuring.
I would 100% definitely recommend this nursery to anyone who needs help with childcare.
Fantastic nursery and fantastic staff.

My little boy started Little Pioneers Tavistock in January 2024 at 8 months as I was returning back to work, naturally I was anxious to leave him and worried how he would settle, the girls were so understanding and accommodating, I cannot fault them, they have been amazing. We are always welcomed with
a smile in the morning, updated throughout the day on how he is doing and given a recap on pick up. He now goes in with no problems with a big smile.
I love how many different areas there are for him to explore even at this young age, including the sensory and indoor garden room and outside space.
Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are all lovely. Thank you!

My little girl has just started going to Tavistock and all of the staff have made the transition over from a different setting as easy and as stress free as possible, for us both. The atmosphere every time I go into in the nursery, is so positive and the kids all seem to having the best time.
