Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery offers a flexible service to parents with day care, a breakfast, an after-school and holiday club. It also offers two hour sessions and a playgroup.

The nursery's stimulating environment and its wide range of activities ensures that children are motivated and eager to join in.

High standards of care and hygiene practice support the personal care needs of the children. The staff are skilled and sensitive in helping children of all ages form secure emotional attachments giving children confidence in their own abilities.

The TAD Centre Day Nursery have always made my child feel welcome and comfortable at nursery. She adores all the staff and always looks forward to going to ‘school’ every day. We will both be very sad when she leaves for big school.


10/10 for the staff!

My children have been going to this nursery for 5 years now. They exceed your expectations of a nursery providing the best quality care child.
The activities and experiences that the children have had here are extremely positive.
My children now 2 and 6 years old access the Butterflies room and
after school club.
Being a full-time single parent it is so important to me when I get updates and pictures via Tapestry of my children during the day. If I have left one of my children upset as I am leaving the nursery staff to send a picture reassuring me that they are settled and happily playing.
My children’s development and skills have excelled by attending this nursery. I could not recommend it highly enough.

I cannot fault this Nursey. My son always comes home happy and seems to eat all his meals (which is more than he does at home).

My daughter started at Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery at 9 months old, she is now almost 3. With every stage she has passed through the nursery has been supportive and helpful. The staff are wonderful, all of them! Warm, caring, kind, encouraging, loving, engaged, creative, and consequentially my
daughter is incredibly happy here. The nursery is flexible and accommodating and regular updates, photos and videos are provided via the Tapestry app, which I love! With fresh food prepared on site and ever-changing displays, themes and learning activities, the children and well nourished in body and mind. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough.

My son and daughter both attend Nunthorpe Nursery and I cannot recommend it enough! The children are learning as well as playing, recent updates on tapestry with the children’s development/progress recorded and the staff are very friendly and form a lovely relationship with the children.

Our son has attended Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery for over 3 years now. He loves his time there and has built strong relationships with both the children and staff. He is a confident, clever little boy and I firmly believe the nursery has played a big part in that. His development over the years
has been amazing to see - the staff have given him so much of their time over the years which has been invaluable for his development. The staff go over and above their standard duties to care for him. The days out they go on and the activities they do are always brilliantly organised and thought out. Being able to log into their daily record system is great for parents as they can see what their little ones have been up to and also add comments and photos from home too.


I would (and already have) highly recommend Nunthorpe Nursery to family and friends and look forward to our 2nd son being a part of the nursery in the future.


Keep up the good work team Nunthorpe!

My daughter has been attending the nursery since January, following a move to the area and I am delighted to share that she has flourished during her time here.
It is very important to me and my husband that our daughter is able to interact with other children and here she is able to do this in a
nurturing and educational environment.


The staff at the nursery are warm and welcoming, ensuring my daughter feels safe and comfortable.


Overall, I am very happy with the care provided.

Nunthorpe Nurseries plan so many creative challenges for my 3-year-old. The great outdoor space means she spends a lot of time outdoors learning about the world through play. All the staff engage her and are very attentive. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic nursery and fantastic staff. I would and have recommended this nursery to everyone! My little one has been attending for 3 and a half years and he has come on leaps and bounds. His development has been amazing and it's all down to the excellent staff who work with him every day. We will be
sad to see him leave and go to big school in September but happy to know his little brother will be joining the nursery in April.

My son started at Nunthorpe nursery when he was 2 years. He settled in really well and all staff were fantastic with him and me. So much so that I opted to put his younger sister in from being 1 year old. A little bit hesitant at going back to work as I have never left my children in childcare from
such a young age. However knowing how they were with my son I felt more than confident returning to work and leaving the staff care for my two youngest children. Their imagination and knowledge have grown tremendously and their little characters have been formed with the help of all the staff not just the ladies in the nursery but also the manager gets stuck in and likes to help out with the children and knows all children who walk through the door. It's like another big family at Nunthorpe nursery and I am forever grateful for the work they do with my children x

Absolutely incredible nursery staff. The setting is lovely, both my children have been very much cared for, and loved by the staff. They are always more than willing to take time and give information and updates. And mainly ensure safety for all measures and all ages including adults. Quite sad that
we won't be using the nursery anymore as it really is a totally unique and wonderful experience at this nursery. Thanks a lot to the team for all the dedication, time and care given.

This nursery is amazing, we have sent both of our children here and one currently still attends. The staff are amazing, very friendly and happy to help with anything. A lovely nursery where my baby is happy and settled quickly. Staff members are always friendly and accommodating. Online Tapestry updates help me feel relaxed and happy at work knowing my baby is safe and having fun.

Staff are very personable and friendly. As a new mum I felt the staff were also very informative and supportive to me in the beginning, they also offered advice and helped me feel normal!!


They made an initial very anxious time when I had to go back to work very easy and eased the stress! I had

no worries about leaving my child here.


My child is so settled here and I feel he has come on leaps and bounds by being in this environment, I'm very thankful for all that the staff do.

My daughter has been attending Nunthorpe Day Nursery for nearly a year now, I've never had any problems and feel very satisfied and comfortable leaving her in their care.
The staff are amazing and seem to have a good team of working together this really shows.
I love to see my daughters development
skills which they follow by observing her and I get to have access to an easy online service with updates every week of what she is doing.
The best feeling is when I pull up outside the nursery she knows where she's going and gets very excited to get inside and see the girls and her little friends.
This makes me very happy.

Hello, I'm Katie.
I have an NNEB and foundation degree in Early years childhood studies and have worked in childcare for 32 years here at Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery. I started out as an Early year's educator, working my way up to deputy manager and now proud to be manager. I take great pride in my nursery and love to welcome new and returning families. We have a fantastic fun and safe environment. I have lots of experience with Sen and higher needs children and enjoy working with families to provide the best possible care and education for them. I believe having a strong team helps children achieve their individual learning goals by working together and working alongside parents and families collectively.
I look forward to welcoming you to our nursery.
