Staff strive to remain up-to-date with current Ofsted regulations while being committed to a versatile atmosphere in which children can learn and develop.

In addition to its childcare responsibilities, this Wynyard Park nursery organises a range of family events and social evenings to better communicate with community needs, while understanding and relating to any particular parental anxieties.

We can't praise Kids First Wynyard enough. Our little girl has had a bit of a tricky time settling because she was feeling poorly at first and the nursery was so accommodating for her. She is settling now and I think it is due to the caring nature of the staff. We have felt supported throughout the
settling process and confident leaving her for the first time without family members. She has food allergies and skin irritation and nothing is too much trouble. They have sourced specific foods to suit her allergies. They are always updating us on her day through the app so we feel part of her experience. They are flexible around her routine for naps etc. The staff genuinely love their jobs and it shows. I am settled going to work knowing she is safe and cared for fully. She is developing so well since she started. I would highly recommend to anyone looking at nurseries.

Lovely staff - always rang up to double-check on our son when he was poorly.
Will miss the ladies in Starfish's two-room when he moves up, but I know everyone who works there is so kind and patient.
Would recommend it to anyone.

My 3-year-old attends this nursery and has been since ten months old. We are so happy with this nursery. All the staff do an amazing job. We are regularly kept up to date with day-to-day activities and contact, which is great to see how our daughter's day is going. All staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Our daughter currently attends three times a week and loves her nursery days. The progress she has made in all aspects of her development has been fantastic, and we are so pleased she gained a place here. It has been a wonderful experience for us all.

All the staff are very helpful and kind, you really get the impression that they take the time to get to know each child and family to ensure they have the very best experience at nursery.
My little boy was very nervous at first and everyone seemed to go the extra mile to make sure he was happy and
comfortable, he loves going now and barely even looks back at me when I drop him off!
The different classrooms are very well organised with a range of activities and toys to suit each developing age group and the meals are well catered and healthy.
I find the app very helpful and reassuring and look forward to receiving updates on what my little boy has done each day he is there.
I could not recommend the whole team any higher.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since 1 year of age and she loves it. All staff are so friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to help her develop. I am always updated through the app on the tasks and fun she is having. Communication between parents and staff is amazing. I couldn't
recommend this nursery enough.

I can’t speak highly enough of this nursery, my daughter attended from being 7 months old (she is now 4) and my son now attends (he is nearly 2). Both settled in so well and have developed their social skills amongst many other things. My daughter is impressively prepared for reception class at school
and my son seems to be relishing his time at nursery, playing with his friends and enjoying the outdoors. Everything is thought of by the incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional team of staff. Leaving my children to go back to work was difficult, but the team here really care and supported us through that journey. Thanks so much.

Cannot fault this nursery at all. My little girl has been attending from one year old, she's now two and a half and she loves going. Staff are extremely attentive; managed my daughter's allergies with great care and meals are all home-cooked and lovely. Wouldn't think twice about recommending this nursery.
I'm so glad I enrolled my daughter, she's come on leaps and bounds. One hundred percent!

My 2-year-old attends 3 days a week and has done for the past year and a half. He can’t wait to go, absolutely loves it. So many different activities for the little ones. Staff are great and always go above and beyond to care for each child. Feedback and progress is always passed on to the parents,
and this really shows that each child is treated as an individual and each member of staff can follow the child’s progress in early education. It’s expensive, but you definitely pay for what you get when it comes to this nursery.

Brilliant nursery. Staff are lovely and make children and parents feel very comfortable. Always different activities for children to do (age-wise) to keep them entertained. All rooms are brilliant for children to play and learn in as they get older.

Absolutely fantastic. Right from our first visit to the nursery, we were sold. The staff made us feel welcome. I was anxious about my child starting nursery; however, I became less anxious during settling-in sessions when I saw how the staff cared, and I was reassured she would be in good hands.

Our 10-month-year-old son absolutely loves going to nursery here. He goes once a week at the moment to settle in until I go back to work in the summer. The staff are amazing with him, and his key workers have built up such a lovely bond. So much so that he smiles when he gets there and isn't too happy
to go home when we pick him up! I think this is down to how much they really care/love children, and it really does show in everything they do. Special thanks to ladies, who are like his second Mummies! Also, to the manager, who is a fantastic leader of the nursery... I'm always amazed at how she has the time to get to know each parent and always manages to fit in a little personal chat. It's these touches that make Kids 1st brilliant.

My daughter has attended Kids 1st Wynyard from 8 months old. She is now 2 years 9 months and I could not have chosen a better nursery for her to attend. Nothing is ever a problem for the staff. She loves going and always tells me about all of the things she’s done whilst there. The staff are 2nd to
none! All of the girls are brilliant and greet us with a big smile every morning. My daughter is leaving to go to school in September and I am absolutely gutted. If I have any other children they will definitely attend this nursery.

I have had one child who attended Kids First and one who is currently there. The nursery is fantastic. Staff are always keen to help and are very friendly. My children always come away very happy. Although the cost is quite high, you get what you pay for and I know my children are well looked after.
It's great that each room has it's own outside space for the kids to explore. The updates on the app are great and it's nice to get through pictures of what your child has been up to. Food is well varied and healthy. Overall great nursery and would highly recommend.

Fantastic nursery! My little boy is naturally shy and does not like strangers. However, it did not take long at all for him to settle in (9 months) with the amazing staff at Kids 1st Wynyard. He will happily go to them with a smile on his face. It is obvious that the staff absolutely adore the children
and will work with parents to ensure they are fully given the best care possible. I know my boy will be having a comfortable, enriched and fun day.

Our eldest daughter started here in January in preschool after moving her as we were unhappy with the previous nursery and we were worried about how she would settle. However, within days she looked forward to going and made relationships with staff who were all friendly, caring and approachable. She
formed new friendships and thrived so much more in the short time she attended. She has just graduated and is ready for reception. It was this experience that influenced our decision to also send our youngest daughter. My youngest daughter is 8 months old and her face lights up when we walk through the door. Even staff who are not based in her room stop and say hello. I can not recommend this nursery enough. Such a positive place, full of dedicated and caring professionals.

Fantastic nursery. My youngest son started at 9 months which I was nervous about but I needn’t have been. The staff are all fantastic, he has come on leaps and bounds and is now 1 and a half and runs into nursery with a big smile on his face.
They were also amazing when my eldest son wasn’t getting
the best treatment at a school nursery. They found him a place, transferred the funding and had him in for a taster day the next day. He’s so much happier and back to being the confident little boy he had been before. Couldn’t recommend Kids 1st enough.

Megan

Megan Goodman

Job Title: Centre Director

Joined: 2009

Hello, I am Megan and I hold a Level 3 CACHE Diploma qualification in Childcare & Education, which I earned in June 2009. My journey with Kids 1st Wynyard began in October the same year as a nursery assistant and over the past fourteen+ years, I have progressed through various roles and I am now proud to be the Centre Director.

I am deeply passionate about working with children and am dedicated to helping nurture them in their formative stages, giving them a solid foundation for their future. We work closely with parents to help meet their child's needs and am both saddened and delighted when they formally "graduate" and move on to mainstream education.

Over the years I have pro-actively participated in organising numerous fundraising activities and I am currently Wynyard's designated Charity Champion. I am proud to say that we have raised tens of thousands of pounds in support of the local community.

In my social life enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, going for walks, and more recently have developed an interest in nature photography.
