Kids 1st Wynyard makes a crucial contribution to parents in Billingham and has a team of skilled and experienced professionals support and care for children from the Billingham area.

Staff strive to remain up-to-date with current Ofsted regulations while being committed to a versatile atmosphere in which children can learn and develop.

In addition to its childcare responsibilities, this Wynyard Park nursery organises a range of family events and social evenings to better communicate with community needs, while understanding and relating to any particular parental anxieties.

In 2011 Kids 1st Wynyard achieved an 'Outstanding' Ofsted report.

Staff are lovely and personable. We always have a positive experience and the staff always make an effort to accommodate our needs with regards to extra days.

My son started nursery at the end of February which I was very nervous about but there was no need. The staff are absolutely amazing. They have settled my little boy in lovely and keep me updated with everything. They are so kind and caring and nothing I ask is too much. They work so hard all day everyday!
Special thanks to three members of staff, in particular, who have been incredible looking after my world!

Absolutely brilliant nursery. All the staff that I have come into contact with are so welcoming and friendly. My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old and she is absolutely thriving. She has come on leaps and bounds with the help of the nursery, her development is brilliant
for her age. She enjoys attending so much and I love hearing about her day. My daughter eats many different nutritious meals and takes part in so many fun educational activities. They put so much effort into various things for the children and could not recommend this nursery enough. Absolutely brilliant!

I highly recommend Kids 1st at Wynyard, my son has been going since he was 8 months old, he’s 2 this month. I have 4 children and he is the youngest, I can see the difference it has made to him being at nursery, he is a confident child, outgoing and loves going into nursery. All the staff are great,
friendly and caring. I’m kept up to date with the app. He gets to do lots of activities and interact with different people but still has his key workers close by, he is trying lots of different foods that we wouldn’t normally cook as a family. I would highly recommend Kids 1st to anyone who needed childcare for work or just to build some confidence before they start school.

We sent our son (2018-2021) and send our daughter (2021-date) to Kids1st Wynyard and have always felt so welcome in this environment. Our son didn’t want to leave when he graduated from pre-school and our daughter is currently thriving in this setting. The staff are warm, welcoming and highly professional.
The children do lots of wide-ranging activities and the environment is stimulating and educational, whilst clean, safe and has quieter zones for rest times. Both children have also thoroughly enjoyed meal times here too! Would highly recommend. As a parent, I am totally comfortable leaving my child in this environment, knowing that they are cared for by a brilliant team.

Highly recommend Kids 1st to anyone looking for a day nursery. The staff are all excellent, my daughter loves it. I was nervous starting nursery because I'd never left her before, and she was very clingy to me. She has settled in so well, and so quickly, and has come on loads in a short time! I am extremely
grateful to the ladies in the baby room! She is excited to get in the car in the morning when she knows she's going to nursery, she's happy when I drop her off and she's happy when I pick her up! I get loads of updates throughout the day on the app, and I get pictures of her enjoying herself! The food is great and they always make sure she eats enough, the activities are lovely and most of all the staff are caring, enthusiastic and consistently excellent. My son attended from 10 months until starting reception and, when it was time to send our daughter, we didn't look anywhere else! It is worth every penny and I wouldn't dream of sending her anywhere else.

I will definitely recommend Kids 1st at Wynyard. My son started going when he was 11 months. He was happy from day one. He attended full-time for one year. All staff members are caring and professional making him feel at home and giving us peace of mind. He was excited to go every morning. Unfortunately,
4 months ago we had to move south. If not, he would have gone there until preschool.

With having a lockdown baby I was really apprehensive when sending him to nursery and how well he would settle but I had nothing to worry about. My son has learnt so much since being in Kids 1st Wynyard. He is so confident and clever since going, he absolutely loves it and gets excited when I take him to the door! Love the photos and comments on the app when he’s there too! The staff are lovely and make him feel very happy there, I don’t have
a bad word to say, accept when the children are off you can’t put holidays in which is a bit of a shame. Apart from that, it’s everything I would want in a nursery.

Our daughter attends Kids 1st Wynyard as did our son who left two years ago. Both of our children have loved attending this nursery. Our little girl bounces out of the door each morning, excited for all of the experiences she gets at this nursery. I feel so reassured leaving my child in their care as

Both of my children have attended Kids 1st Wynyard, all staff within the setting are outstanding and put one hundred and ten percent into the care of each and every child daily. You know you’ve picked the right nursery when your daughter is very excited going into nursery and cries when you turn up to take her home. Having previously sent my older daughter here six years ago we didn't hesitate to place our youngest here when the time arose. She started in January age fifteen months, due to having lockdown controlling most of her social contact we anticipated a difficult settling in period. A few tears on initial
few drop offs, which soon stopped thanks to the care and attention she received from the staff. The staff have been amazing in making this transition easy for our daughter and ourselves, she gets so excited to go in as soon as we pull into the car park. The app is brilliant too for communication so we can see pictures of her, nappy changes and the wide range of food she has eaten. I would recommend this nursery to any of my friends and family, thanks to the peace of mind that you get knowing your child is been well looked after.

Megan Goodman

Job Title: Centre Director

Joined: 2009

Hello, I am Megan and I hold a Level 3 CACHE Diploma qualification in Childcare & Education, which I earned in June 2009. My journey with Kids 1st Wynyard began in October the same year as a nursery assistant and over the past fourteen+ years, I have progressed through various roles and I am now proud to be the Centre Director.

I am deeply passionate about working with children and am dedicated to helping nurture them in their formative stages, giving them a solid foundation for their future. We work closely with parents to help meet their child's needs and am both saddened and delighted when they formally "graduate" and move on to mainstream education.

Over the years I have pro-actively participated in organising numerous fundraising activities and I am currently Wynyard's designated Charity Champion. I am proud to say that we have raised tens of thousands of pounds in support of the local community.

In my social life enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, going for walks, and more recently have developed an interest in nature photography.
