Teesdale Childrens Day Nursery are very proud to have an 'Outstanding' Ofsted report from January 2017.

The staff team are focused on providing quality childcare and education for the children who attend their setting. Their aim is to give every child the best possible start in life.

The nursery staff use tapestry, an online learning journey to keep parents informed about their child's progress in nursery and parents have access as well so they can see how their children are developing.

The nursery is part of Nunthorpe Nurseries Group and they have an excellent reputation in the North East

Teesdale has been a great nursery so far. My son enjoys coming to nursery and the staff are wonderful. Always friendly, welcoming and very professional. Thank you for creating a safe and fun environment for my child. I am really pleased with his progress and how supportive everyone is.

Teesdale nursery have been very supportive of me and my son, who has settled well. I was nervous about leaving him, due to his complex needs but they have done more than expected - I really do not want him to leave. He has another little family.

I love everyone at Teesdale, they are all so helpful and accommodating. I feel safe and happy leaving my daughter here. She has come on with development with potty training and weening her off breastfeeds and onto solids. My daughter has been coming here since she was six months old.

All four of my children have come to Teesdale and all four have been loved and looked after. The three little ones have always been shy with strangers until coming here. The youngest has really started to blossom and come out of his shell, thanks to this nursery. The team have always accommodated shift
patterns and really helped me throughout the years.

From the first email and phone call with the manager, our experience with Teesdale has been fantastic. She went above and beyond to answer the many questions I had and went on to explain the amazing support they had available for my son at the nursery. From the get-go, the manager and the lovely ladies
who work with my son have been incredible in providing support for both me and my son and nothing is ever too much. The nursery provides an outstanding, clean and fun learning environment for all children. My son shows some signs of ASD and I worried about finding a nursery to be able to support his needs. However, after meeting the amazing ladies who work at Teesdale, all my worries were put to rest as they have provided the highest quality of care and have very clear communication with myself and his father about my son's development. My son absolutely loves this nursery and is coming on swimmingly. This is all thanks to Teesdale's incredible team and we could not be more grateful!

This provision is outstanding The teaching and learning in this nursery are exceptional. The staff know children very well and they make excellent progress from their starting points. The staff provide exceptionally well-tailored support and challenge for children. The manager and staff are inspirational
in their pursuit of providing the highest-quality care and education for children. They systematically evaluate the quality of the nursery provision and constantly strive for excellence in improving the lives of children.

At Teesdale, all the staff have gone above and beyond to help my son, who has extra needs and are really supportive of me too. It's a happy, lovely environment for the kids. Can't thank them all enough.

Both my daughters have attended this nursery. My eldest started in September 2018 at 3-years-old. My daughter was non-verbal and showed signs of ASD. With the above and beyond help we received from the manager and the preschool assistants, our daughter, we saw flourish at Teesdale, and most importantly,
was valued and a happy little girl. Now our 1-year-old is at Teesdale, and again, we are seeing her come on leaps and bounds. We love listening to songs and rhymes she’s been taught and watching her imagination running wild. Staff are great communicators, their Facebook page is updated regularly with pictures of the children doing activities. Our daughter eats well-balanced healthy meals. They support local charities and engage with lots of different festivities. It’s just a fantastic nursery and a home from home for our little one.

My daughter has attended Teesdale Childrens Day Nursery since she was four months old, and it's been the best decision I made, especially with lockdown they have helped her cone on so much. My daughter loves going to nursery, she is always full of smiles, and the staff are lovely, it's a fabulous nursery.

We are fully satisfied with the nursery.
Before the entrance of the nursery, I had a lot of questions and was stressed due to a new step in my child's life.
The manager of the nursery replied to the million questions, offered the tour in the nursery to give me a chance to be sure that my child is
in the right place.
We made the right decision because I see every day my happy child running to the nannies. Step by step my daughter learns new words and songs.
Important to mention that we moved recently and my daughter couldn't speak English. I was surprised when I heard new English words from my child in 2-weeks.

Myself and my partner are very happy with Teesdale Nursery. The only issue is that when our daughter comes home her clothes are covered in food, is there any chance the nursery can provide aprons when eating her food or for any other child, so other parents don't have this issue.

I am very satisfied with all the staff, manager and the facilities which the nursery offer to the parents. Always ready to help me with my daughter. My daughter is very happy when I leave her at nursery and she has developed a lot since she first started. Also, the shift times are helpful to me when
I need to change them sometimes. This is the best support I've had for my daughter which I have found here. Thank you.

Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I'm always pleased with how Tweenies staff look after my son. He is always learning new things. Very reassuring when I phone asking about son. Overall very happy and content leaving my son in the nursery.

Hello, I'm Michelle.
I have a level 4 in Early years childhood studies and have worked in childcare for 22 years here at Teesdale Children's Day Nursery. I started out as an Early year's educator, working my way up to deputy manager and I'm now proud to be manager. I take pride in having very good organisational skills and use them when managing the nursery, staff, and children. I love to meet new families, welcoming them into our setting and ensuring that they feel comfortable. We work as a team to ensure all rooms provide fun, stimulating, and safe environments. I believe having a strong team helps children achieve their individual learning goals by working together and working alongside parents and families collectively. I look forward to welcoming you to our nursery.
