Teesdale Childrens Day Nursery are very proud to have an 'Outstanding' Ofsted report from January 2017.

The staff team are focused on providing quality childcare and education for the children who attend their setting. Their aim is to give every child the best possible start in life.

The nursery staff use tapestry, an online learning journey to keep parents informed about their child's progress in nursery and parents have access as well so they can see how their children are developing.

This nursery is outstanding in all area’s my daughter absolutely loves been here. Every day I see a difference in her learning. I highly recommend to anyone.

I cannot fault Teesdale Children’s in any way. The staff and management are so friendly and approachable. I especially like the app the nursery uses to allow me to receive updates on what my child has been doing that day but I also always get informed of what my child has eaten, been doing etc when
he is collected on a night - pick up doesn’t feel rushed and staff are always happy to discuss any concerns be it potty training, behaviour etc.


My son has a great time at nursery and his development has come on leaps and bounds. I would not hesitate to recommend Teesdale Children’s Nursery - keep up the fantastic work ladies.

I have two children and both come here. The staff are welcoming when we first come and make the children feel comfortable. My oldest has come on leaps and bounds with counting, creative play, concentration and has manners which he uses all the time now. My youngest has been going a few weeks now and
he coming on with his play and looks forward on a morning that he is coming to nursery.

Absolutely fab nursery and brilliant staff. Wouldn't send my little boy anywhere else. He has been going since he was 8 months and is now 2, he has a lovely bond with his key person and is coming along so much.

Teesdale Childrens Day Nursery is one in a million. The staff are very welcoming, happy and sweet. They go above and beyond to make sure that the activities are not only fun and interactive, but educational as well. My little boy comes home happy and well feed and I would recommend this nursery to everyone
I know.

The staff are always smiling and very polite and welcoming. My daughter has improved in her counting, colours, speaking and has been looking forward to going to nursery 2 days a week. She loves what's available food wise because it is always different she always comes home and tells us what she's been
doing and when she is going back. The staff are very helpful and will try their best to answer any questions we may have.
Very friendly and would highly recommend the nursery.

Changed to this nursery as I had had several issues at his old nursery. Have swapped and I haven't looked back.
My child is now happy to go to nursery. Problems with food - where my child doesn't eat a great deal are being improved with the help of the nursery. Staff are always friendly and informative.
Would recommend to anyone.

Not enough good words to say about this nursery. Both my children have attended this nursery and the staff are so genuinely warm, friendly and loving towards all of the children and always do so much with them throughout the day. Couldn't recommend enough!

My daughter was very uneasy about starting nursery. The transition was a hard one but now she has settled in brilliantly thanks to the wonderful staff. She now looks forward to coming and I am very happy to leave her in such good hands.

Staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Very supportive. All children seem happy and confident and settled. They have lots of activities out for children, which are accessible for all abilities. Stay and play sessions have been excellent and very informative.

My son and daughter both attend Teesdale nursery and I am very pleased with the staff and facilities here. My children are excited to go to nursery every morning. The learning activities at the nursery are excellent. Tapestry records keep me up to date on my children's development. The staff at the
nursery are very pleasant helpful, caring and highly professional. My overall rating is 10/10. I have already recommended Teesdale nursery to my colleague and his daughter is starting here next month.

My daughter has attended Nursery for the past 2 years and the staff here are fantastic. My daughter has special needs and required a lot of support which the staff provided.
The nursery manager is fantastic and has helped myself and my daughter at length over the years she has attended the nursery.
She has helped fill out forms and attended meetings held regarding my daughter's educational needs. The level of care and support from the members of staff has been fantastic. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

Amazing nursery! The staff go above and beyond to ensure my children are happy here. Two of my children have attended the nursery, my daughter in 2012 and my son currently, they both settled really well and always look forward to going to nursery. My newest addition will be attending a little later
in the year and I have no worries about how much he will be cared for and loved during his time at Teesdale!

My son has settled well and always tells me he's had a fun a day at nursery. Staff are warm and welcoming and provide good care and lots of different activities for the children. It's a safe environment and children have an opportunity to play outside as well.

Would absolutely recommend Teesdale to any parent, my daughter was unsure when starting nursery like all children, the staff helped her settle in so well and myself, now she absolutely loves the place, the staff and the children and does not want to leave. She has so much fun there, which couldn't make
me any happier knowing she loves Teesdale.

I would strongly recommend this nursery to family and friends. The staff are very kind, honest and supportive and most importantly, loving to the kids. They looked after my son for nearly 2 years and I didn't experience any kind of dissatisfaction in all aspects of child care including education, social
development, food and personal care. As a mother, I always feel safe to leave him there. I always know what's happened throughout the day and if my child is ill they look after him and let me know. Recently, my son started part-time sessions and the staff were really flexible so I can change days if I needed to. Overall, it's a great nursery.

My daughter attends two days a week and she loves it. She has come along with her speaking and walking since being there. The staff are friendly and have a good rapport with the children. Very age appropriate games and activities to suit my daughter.

Hello, I'm Michelle.
I have a level 4 in Early years childhood studies and have worked in childcare for 22 years here at Teesdale Children's Day Nursery. I started out as an Early year's educator, working my way up to deputy manager and I'm now proud to be manager. I take pride in having very good organisational skills and use them when managing the nursery, staff, and children. I love to meet new families, welcoming them into our setting and ensuring that they feel comfortable. We work as a team to ensure all rooms provide fun, stimulating, and safe environments. I believe having a strong team helps children achieve their individual learning goals by working together and working alongside parents and families collectively. I look forward to welcoming you to our nursery.
