Jack and Jill Nursery Ltd makes the most of a charming three-storey Victorian house, converted to suit a vibrant early years learning environment.

Quality resources have been put together to inspire children's interests, imaginations, and abilities, with staff committed to developing their full potential.

The team work closely with parents, looking for feedback on progress and communicating about any activities children enjoy and can do at home.

All staff members are fully qualified to a minimum of NVQ L3, all have up to date First Aid and Safeguarding training. All staff go on regular training courses to keep their knowledge up to date on various topics.

All staff are signed up to the DBS checking scheme and are checked regularly to ensure they have a clean police record.

All meals and snacks are completely free of charge and they also provide nappies, nappy wipes and cream, free of charge too.

Lunches (12pm-1pm) are freshly prepared and home cooked, and include such dishes as shepherd's pie, sweet potato and spinach bake, salmon pasta, turkey dinner, creamy chicken and pesto pasta, carrot and coriander soup - to name but a few!

Snacks (10:30am and 2:30pm) consist of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Tea (4pm) is either muffins with ham, crumpets and jam, ham and cheese pinwheels, bagels and cream cheese, spring rolls and vegetable samosas or pizza toast.

Both meals also have a small dessert also (whippy mousse, jelly, yoghurt, rice pudding, fromage frais, ice cream etc).

This nursery is an absolutely outstanding nursery. I am so pleased that my son spent the first few years of his life at this nursery, the staff have helped to define him into a lovely amazing happy little boy. I couldn't recommend it enough, the staff brought my son on leaps and bounds. The communication
between staff and parents is excellent, they really do go above and beyond for your child. I just love the fact that every single member of staff is fully first aid trained, it's hard to find that in nurseries nowadays. My son really has had the best possible start in life with this nursery and I had total piece of mind leaving him there every day. There wasn't actually a day that I came away unhappy and I plan to send my other child to this nursery when the time comes.

I have 2 daughters that attend the setting, a 3-year-old and 1-year-old. My 3-year-old has gone since she was 8 months and it is a second home for her. She is very comfortable and confident there. My 1-year-old started attending a few months ago and had settled well, greeting the carers with smiles
and giggles. We couldn't be happier with Jack and Jill's, The home cooked, hot meals provided are a fab mix and all the children seem to gobble them up, mine certainly do and often have seconds. Can not recommend highly enough.

Great nursery, my son has come on leaps and bounds since starting here the staff and management are great and always ensure my son is cared for. Me and my partner are always getting progression reports so we know where our son is in his learning development as well as being told from the staff how my
son has got on each day he is in.


Would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter started last month and settled quickly, the staff are so friendly. They helped settle her in and she's learning a lot already. They make you feel comfortable leaving your child in great hands. I would definitely recommend to everyone.

The Nursery has gone from strength to strength during the nearly three years that we have been taking our child there. The new outside play area is excellent and is used daily, regardless of the weather to ensure the children get fresh air and additional exercise.
The regular feedback forms for us
to complete are very comprehensive and allow us to help with development at home as well.
Toilet training, manners of children are very important in the setting ensuring that all the children are very polite and well behaved, pity they are not as well behaved at home as well! Our little one has learnt all about how to use computers there and is leaving us behind! Facebook page is well used and helps keep us in touch.

I don't even know where to begin! Knowing our efforts to progress the setting from strength to strength is not only recognised, but appreciated too means a lot. Outside play is an extremely important part of play for the children, as we love to embrace this for them.
As we are shaping the future generation, we feel basics such as manners is imperative.
The children are quicker than us on the ICT equipment! Once again, it's their generation and computers etc are going to be a massive part of their lives.

We have both of our girls in this nursery and it is fair to say that they love it! The staff are very professional and caring, instantly gaining our trust! The care they receive and structured activities have really helped their development, their confidence grows after each visit.

Two of my children have attended Jack and Jill's. My daughter started primary school confidently with the skills she learned at nursery. She loved the preschool class and felt comfortable with all the staff. My son started as a baby and has spent time in both rooms. He loves it and often asks when he's
going to nursery. He's got a strong connection with his keyworker and has come on so much. We will miss it when he starts primary school.

What a lovely and homely feel this nursery has. My daughter loves going and barely even says goodbye to me anymore, she just runs in. Staff are kind and considerate. The food is cooked on the premises and is excellent quality. My daughter speaks three languages and the staff have accommodated brilliantly.

An excellent nursery that offers a homely environment which is fun and caring. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and treat my child like one of their own.
Love the fact fresh home cooked food is included in the cost this is very rare.
I feel confident and at ease leaving my child at this nursery
knowing she will be cared for as I would do myself.
Highly recommend!!!

My daughter has now left Jack and Jill's but I would definitely recommend - and have already done so! - the nursery to others. A lovely warm, friendly, welcoming environment in which you can be confident that your child is in good, caring hands.

My son has been attending this setting for almost a year. From the moment I first visited the setting I knew it was ideal for him. It's a small environment with a very homely feel to it. All the children have key workers and send reports home regularly, which makes me feel happy knowing his development
is being monitored, and he is taking part in activities to help him develop his skills and knowledge. He is always excited for his days in nursery to see staff and friends. His lunches are also homemade and nutritious, would highly recommend.

I am so happy with my son's progress at Jack and Jill's - he has gained so much confidence from being in a setting that's so homely and welcoming. I don't have any worries leaving him as all the staff are fully training in various areas, and I know that he will have so much fun doing all the different
activities they have both inside and out.
