Darling Buds Nursery is in a great location. It is in the heart of Cardiff Bay, and has access to buses and a train station. It is a short walk to the city centre, and the the A4232 is nearby.

The nursery is large and spacious allowing the team to be flexible and accommodate the parents' needs. Each area has large windows letting in lots of natural light and is furnished to a high standard.

The four age-specific rooms within the nursery cater for children from six weeks to five years of age and a room for the afterschool/holiday club for children 5+

The nursery offers flexible wrap-around day care as well as breakfast and afterschool clubs - ideal for busy working parents.

The team are all highly qualified to deliver a quality standard of care, learning and development which shows as the children are so happy.

Parents are welcome to visit the nursery and meet the team, with new admissions invited to spend some time in a group environment and get to know the staff that take care of the children

    We offer a 10% discount for siblings attending the nursery (excluding holiday club, breakfast club and after school club)

  • All fees include meals, snacks, drinks, formula milk, nappies and wipes.
    We have availability to cater for full and half day sessions, as well as sessions booked on a rota basis and temporary contracts. We offer a breakfast club, afterschool club, holiday club and a full wrap around service to a number of local schools.

Darling Buds have looked after my two children. We have been using the nursery for over three years and can highly recommend! The staff are so lovely and my children enjoy themselves so much. They have learnt so many lovely skills and had such lovely experiences. The activities, outdoor play, songs
they start singing at home from nursery, painting, crafting, dancing, the food! They have so much fun! I know my children have had the best days here at Darling Buds and are well looked after and loved by the staff.

Darling Buds have had both my children since they were a few months old and I would never use any other nursery as they are absolutely amazing!
They have helped teach both my children to walk, run, potty train, eat independently and become clever little people.
The staff are very, very experienced
and mostly long term employed staff so I have known them for 5 years now and I would highly recommend Darling Buds on this basis.
If you are seeking a safe and stimulating environment for your child to thrive and grow in, Darling Buds is the place to send them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff and management there.

My daughter has been going to Darling Buds since she was 11 months.
She is now 4 and she absolutely loves going.
She’s happy, safe, looked after and loved.
I can not recommend this nursery enough.
Staff are fantastic.
She eats foods she would of never eaten with me and loves them.
She has
lots of friends and has learnt so much from coming to Darling Buds.
I’m certain she will have many more years of enjoyment and learning here.
Can’t thank the wonderful team enough.

My son started at Darling Buds when he was 7 months old. The staff were brilliant and put me at ease straight away, suggesting that I could give them a ring during the day to see how he was settling in if I wanted to. They are very good at understanding how hard it can be in the early days to leave
your child. My son spends two days a week at Darling Buds, and he has thrived whilst there. He is now 3 and is a confident, happy boy who absolutely loves going to nursery. He has made friends there and has had a good relationship with the staff in each room that he has been in. We definitely noticed his development come along leaps and bounds since he started going to nursery, and I have always felt confident that he is safe and well looked after whilst he is there. I highly recommend Darling Buds as a safe and nurturing place for your children to grow.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since the end of 2018 when she was 8 months old. The staff have been warm and welcoming since the first phone call querying spaces, to the initial tour up until now when she will be moving up to Poppies. My daughter adores the staff and is always happy to go
to nursery in the mornings and happy when she's picked up (all be it tired but that could only ever be a good thing).
The staff are always chatty and smiling when dropping off and picking up and always take the time to talk about how she has been that day and answer any queries.
They offer a lot of different activities for the children and I can definitely see my daughter learning new things with every week she goes there.
Considering current circumstances with lockdown they have been very professional, they have kept us informed as much as they can and have been in contact to check how my daughter is, which I think is amazing!

My little girl has been attending Darling Buds since she was just over 4-months-old. Over the years she has become quite the chatterbox and doesn’t stop talking about all of the fun she has at nursery every day - from a huge variety of arts and crafts, cooking, dancing and building obstacle courses
in the garden! She’s made great friends and the whole team are genuinely fabulous - I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

My daughter and son both go to Darling Buds, my daughter went until reception school then came back for after school club and my son goes after nursery one day a week. Darling Buds have adapted to what I need for care for my children and I can honestly say they have lovely staff who have become our
family not just our childminder!

Fantastic! No other words. My children have been going to Darling Buds for years! They now go to after school club and holiday club.
The children love it there and look forward to the holiday club.


All the staff are fabulous, especially the Group Leader - the kids love her and she is amazing with

them!


The Director, Manager and Assistant Manager are very supportive and go above and beyond.

I would highly recommend Darling Buds. My daughter has been going here since she was 9-months-old, and she loves it there.
The services offered are amazing; making the transition to school much smoother.

I and my younger brother attended Darling Buds full time when we were younger, and now my son has been at the nursery for just over a year, and to see how much he’s progressed is amazing!
His eating and food choices are now brilliant, along with his speech and confidence.
The girls at the nursery
are very friendly, and always willing to offer another day when my shifts differ at work.
I have/will always praise the girls and the nursery to all of my friends - who now have either started their kids there or are looking to start them there in the future. An overall amazing place/service.

Both our children have attended Darling Buds, and it has been the best start in life for both of them. They have become confident and have learnt great socialising skills. They eat a variety of different meals thanks to Daring Buds, and they are always happy to arrive at the nursery. The Darling Buds
team take great care in looking after our children, and they always have a fun-filled day of a variety of different activities.

I could not recommend this nursery enough! The relationship each individual has with my two-year-old is irreplaceable elsewhere. My son is very close to myself and doesn’t like to leave me for long periods of time, but this nursery he looks forward to going. He says goodbye at the door. The staff are
the most lovely, understanding people and I can’t wait for my son to be back in September. Well done for all your hard work girls.

Both my daughters have absolutely loved their time at Darling Buds. They have both developed into outgoing, adaptable and inquisitive young girls, and I know Darling Buds had a huge influence on that development. The nursery has been amazing with us as a family after needing child care so fast they really helped settle my little one in. My nearly 2-year-old at the time was happy to be left with them because everyone is so kind and friendly although now she has her favourite ones.

I would highly recommend this nursery. Staff are excellent and each one of them is caring and kind. My son has thrived here and is learning and growing so well. He loves going to nursery and enjoys all of the activities designed to develop all of the children's skills. The food is freshly cooked every
day, provides a range of cuisine, has lots of veg and the 5 star food hygiene rating sealed the deal for me in deciding to send my son to Darling Buds Nursery. A great place to nurture my child in all aspects!
