We moved our daughter to Robins as soon as they re-opened following lockdown. After a period of being at home with us, I was very apprehensive about how our daughter would settle into Robins, but the staff could not have been more supportive or welcoming and they made the entire transition so much easier
than I was expecting. The standard of care our daughter receives is excellent and the staff who look after her and the other children are so lovely, caring and attentive. The nursery has lovely outdoor spaces and the children spend lots of time in the garden which is really important to us. They also get to take part in a wide variety of activities and I know that my daughter is never, ever bored at nursery, which makes going to work for the day so much easier as a parent. We are so pleased with our decision to choose Robins and look forward to watching our daughter grow and develop whilst forming friendships there over the coming years.

We’re delighted that our son has a place at Robin’s Day Nursery. A lovely setting with a close-knit feel, fun-filled, nurturing and supportive learning and developing environment. Staff have been most welcoming, accommodating and most of all, incredibly understanding of the current anxieties parents
have due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We leave our son feeling reassured that he is very well cared for and the regular communication from the staff has been wonderful. Thank you all so much.

Great nursery, fab staff, perfect setting, there isn’t much more I can say. It is certainly not the closest nursery to where we live, however, it is definitely worth travelling the extra few miles to get too.

Robins Nursery is a friendly, fun nursery.
My son can be a bit of a live wire and they go out of their way to bring out the best in him.
They put a wide range of activities on for the children.
My son really looks forward to going there.
He really enjoys the food.
He also has really lovely nursery
practitioners.
He also really looks forward to seeing some of them and his friends.

I have chosen to use this nursery for the care of my child after using it for my first. The approach to care is holistic and it has a very caring nature. The use of 'real things' to encourage child development is a plus side for me and the new natural décor and furniture allows the children to learn
in a calm atmosphere. The staff are all happy and caring and I feel happy they are looking after our child whilst we have to work. Our child feels safe and very rarely gets upset leaving us. It's like a 'home from home' setting. Communication is good and we are constantly updated as parents. The nursery is encouraging parental/family involvement where possible and is providing opportunities to meet staff and other parents on a regular basis.

Thank you for making our need to work and leave our child an easy transition for all of us, you do a great job!

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.407)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.407) out of 10 for Little Trees Day Nursery St Arvans is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.917 for Little Trees Day Nursery St Arvans is calculated as follows: ( (89 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.917

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.49 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Trees Day Nursery St Arvans is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 58 number of registered child places is 11.6. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.6 = 0.69

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
