I currently have a 4 1/2 year old at Bright Horizons Cramond. He has been at the nursery since 1 year old as was his older sister. I only have positive things to say about the nursery. The staff are great and both of my children have loved their nursery journeys from the baby rooms right through
to preschool. I would say staff are the main reason for this and we as a family will have fond memories of them for a long time.
We have always left our children in the care of nursery staff positive they will be cared for and nurtured.
We have recommended the nursery to friends which is nice to see and hear stories of their younger ones.
Thank you to all the team.

My kids attend Bright Horizons Cramond nursery full time, 5 days a week. The youngest started when she was 4 months old. As a result of the ages of my kids, I have had one on one engagement with staff in all the nursery rooms.

The high standard of care and love shown to my kids by the nursery staff

has been outstanding. Every member of staff right to the manager and even the chef and non-admin staff are always welcoming and polite.

The nursery rooms are warm for the kids with a lot of indoor activities.

All meals are prepared fresh daily on site by their amazing chef. Their food menu is one of the best that I have seen. Nappies and wipes are also provided.

The staff always provide detailed feedback on each child when I come to pick them up.
Regular reviews are also done to let me know how each child is getting on in terms of developmental milestones and we agree on areas where each child might need more support/encouragement.

The kids are regularly engaged in outdoor activities.

The nursery is okay and my child has excelled so far. I believe attitude and feedback from staff could be improved upon as it is of an unsatisfactory/unprofessional standard.

My daughter has been attending for three years and very much enjoys her time here. The staff are friendly, helpful and supportive, and have really taken the time to get to know my daughter. The activities are varied and we really appreciate the occasional excursion and walk around the local area - although
I'd like these to take place much more regularly.
The menu is excellent and my daughter has gone from being a very fussy eater to enjoying a varied and balanced diet - something also down to the encouragement of those caring for her. I also appreciate the opportunity to give feedback on the menu.
My daughter looks forward to spending time with her friends here. And because she's happy and well cared for, I know I don't have to worry about her wellbeing.

I am very happy with the care my child receives at this nursery. All the meals are freshly prepared on site and included in your fees. Nappies are also now included as well. My son is happy and has settled well in the two different rooms he has been in. There are also additional classes like Jo Jingles
and Tatty Bumpkin which you can opt in to. The staff are friendly and approachable too.

So far my experience of Cramond Bright Horizons has been very positive. When it's your first experience of a private nursery with your child its hard to know what to expect. initially, my son found it hard to settle in but the staff were very patient and supportive with him and us. There's a good staff
to child ratio and relatively small room size for babies which makes me confident he is getting the attention he needs. The food is of a high standard and variety. There is a good selection of activities and plenty of time outside. If I ever have any issues the staff are always very approachable and understanding and take on board my concerns.

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons at Cramond. Both my children have attended the nusery and the latest addition, due in a few months will also be joining. My youngest is still attending in the baby room and it is clear that she enjoys it. There is a great ratio of staff to children and it is
obvious the staff love their jobs.

The kids do some brilliant hands-on activities and get to spend a lot of time in the garden. The nursery building feels welcoming and safe. The quality of the food is also a real bonus, it always smells lovely if I pop in to collect near tea time!

My wife and I had complete confidence in the nursery throughout the time that our boys were there (July 2015-September 2017). We thought that the staff were very professional and the facilities, activities and resources were excellent in every respect.

Great nursery, staff are friendly and caring and provide a happy environment for children to play and learn. The food is cooked on site and is fresh and healthy. The nursery also has two outdoor play areas and the children go out to play most days.

My daughter has attended Cramond Early Learning and Childcare since 9 months, she is now four. The nursery has played a huge part in her development and how much she has improved, my daughter has a good relationship with all staff in the nursery who in every room provided fun and educational activities
from babies to pre-school. All areas of the nursery are based on the needs of the children with so much more, the nursery and staff always go that little bit further to provide the best quality care for my child.

My daughter attended this nursery from 9 months old until she went to school. The nursery has helped her develop all of her social and emotional skills and gave her a good head start into her school learning. This is down to the fantastic and caring staff and welcoming nature of the whole nursery so
much so that now my son attends this nursery and will do so until he goes to school.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.841)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.841) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Cramond Early Learning and Childcare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.944 for Bright Horizons Cramond Early Learning and Childcare is calculated as follows: ( (68 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.944

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.897 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Cramond Early Learning and Childcare is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 101 number of registered child places is 20.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 20.2 = 0.297

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
