My son attends nursery 5 mornings a week and absolutely loves it. The staff are really friendly and approachable.
My son isn’t the best at eating lunch and every day the girls try to encourage him to try whatever is on the menu.
My son loves lawnmowers and he used to play with a pram in nursery
calling that his “lawnmower” the nursery went out of their way to purchase a toy lawnmower for my son and other children to play with. A really nice touch.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other Mums and Dads.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 11 months old and I would highly recommend the team at Mearnswood to anyone looking for a nursery for their children. The team are second to none, my daughter always has a great day when in nursery. I love that outdoor play/learning is actively encouraged.
The team also ensure we are kept well informed about our daughter's development at nursery.

Both of my children attend Mearnswood. I have always been really impressed with their emphasis on being outdoors and the high level of care and attention they receive. I don’t hesitate in recommending the nursery to family and friends.

I can’t recommend Kirktonholm nursery more. They have been great with my little girl, she has such a great time at nursery with all the different activities and they spend a lot of time outside in their woodland area, which I love. They are always very accommodating and all the staff are great.

Absolutely love this nursery and so does my son. I know my boy is looked after very well in a really nice environment. The girls who work with the kids are so lovely, gentle, caring and fun. There’s always lots going on and the kids spend loads of time outside. Possibly the best part of the nursery
is the woods where the kids can play and explore. Would most definitely recommend!

My daughter has attended Kirktonholme since she was a baby and is now due to go to school in August. I can’t recommend this nursery highly enough. Everything about it is fantastic, staff, cleanliness, resources and outdoor space. It was really important to me when choosing a nursery that the kids are
out as often as possible and they definitely are. My daughter also attends another nursery for her council sessions 3 afternoons per week and I could have had her going there full days too when I’m at work and saved myself a lot of money but I simply couldn’t stop her going to Kirktonholme as she absolutely loves it and is so happy there.

We just love this nursery, the staff are wonderful and very caring, particularly when my son went through a period of separation anxiety. I feel comfortable leaving him here and have recommended to friends and family.

I have noticed a huge difference in our son since joining Kirktonholme Childcare Mearnswood at age 2. He really enjoys socialising with the other children and his speech has come on a lot. There is a healthy range of food and snacks always on offer. The outdoor space really sold the nursery to us as
it was unlike anything we’d seen elsewhere. A great, safe environment for learning and play. Cannot recommend highly enough and the staff are wonderful.

Kirktonholme Childcare Mearnswood is a fantastic nursery. My son has been a member of the Kirktonholme family since he was seven months old until now, as a four-year-old. In the baby room, he was cared for in a nurturing environment. He has always been given the opportunity to learn. In the 2-3 room,
he started to understand new things and explore the great outdoors. In the 3-5 room, he is thriving and he loves taking part in practical activities and learning about nature, countries, gravity, recipes and practicing for the Christmas concert to name but a few. Kirktonholme Childcare Mearnswood has wonderful staff who really care about the children and the nursery adopts a nurturing environment for everyone to grow and learn together. My son has had a very positive journey in this first stage of his education. He now has great ambition for the future.

Our twins have been attending Kirktonholme Mearnswood 2 days a week since they were 1 year old. The atmosphere is so homely and welcoming that they settled in incredibly quickly and always seem delighted to be there. The range of activities is excellent with lots of time spent outdoors and in sensory
play. The staff are all patient and kind and always keen to share aspects of the girls' days which we might find interesting or helpful. The manager has been very helpful when my tricky shiftwork means that we need to be flexible with their days and overall we would highly recommend the nursery.

When our second child was ready for nursery, there was only one choice we would consider, Kirktonholme. The staff are caring and interact with the children, helping them develop their confidence and a range of educational and life skills.


We are particularly impressed with the outdoor area which

had a section of beautiful woodland in which the children can safely explore and have fun.


The children are offered a wide range of freshly cooked food and both the staff in the children’s rooms and the lady who prepares the food, take the time to ensure that the children are encouraged to try the delicious food available.

My eldest son attended this nursery and absolutely loved it so when I went back to work when number 2 was 6 months old, Kirktonholme was the natural choice for our family. I was still breastfeeding and pumping at work so would drop off a supply to the nursery in the mornings and the ladies ensured my
son had his bottle. The staff are genuinely caring and our son is happy, confident and engages well with his wee friends. He smiles in the mornings when we drive down the road to the building and insists on pressing the buzzer himself! My husband and I highly recommend this nursery.

Both of my daughters have attended Kirktonholme nursery and I can’t recommend them highly enough. My eldest daughter started school this year and was more than ready thanks to the support she has while here. My younger daughter has formed strong friendships in Kirktonholme thanks to its nurturing environment.
The outside space is fabulous and they make excellent use of their surroundings.

This is a wonderful nursery that puts the children at the heart of everything they do.
My daughter loves all the staff, so much so she insists in cuddling each of them every night before we leave. I cannot praise them enough.
Food, well, my daughter frequently demolishes two helpings at lunch so I
think that speaks for itself. Great snacks always on offer and fruit is freely available for the kids which is great.
Activities - the outdoor space is fabulous and the kids are outside at every opportunity. Woodland area to explore and slides, mud kitchen, the list is endless.
The teaching is constant with every opportunity to learn being explored.
My daughter is having a wonderful time here. If you visit, you will see for yourself how amazing it is.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for 7 months and has settled in well. The staff are all very friendly and caring and the facilities for babies and children are excellent. On days when my daughter is upset at drop-off, a member of staff will send me a message a short time later to let me
know if she has settled, which is very reassuring.
