Step by Step Private Nursery has rooms specifically designed for each age group, including a baby room with three separate areas and a calming atmosphere based on natural and heuristic learning.

Within a bright and spacious interior, children can develop new skills and interest, enjoying numerous activities and energetic play, overseen by a qualified team and with a secure all-weather outdoor play space also.

Online learning journals are kept so parents can keep up with progress and a recognised early years curriculum includes many extra-curricular additions, such as swimming, cycling and music. There is also a Forest Nursery programme in place to allow for children to develop an appreciation of nature and stay and play sessions are also available.

My daughter has been in Step by Step for over 3 years. The staff are excellent and know my child's needs at a personal level which, is a comfort to me as a parent having to leave her every day.
The feedback is on a daily basis which is great and the learning journals which go out every couple of days
are fantastic and keep you in the loop of the progress of your child.

My daughter has non-verbal autism and the nursery are amazing with her. They are always in full contact with her doctors and therapists to find out what ways they can help her achieve her full potential.
The staff are very friendly and always make time for you if you need to speak to them about anything
in regards to your child.
The nursery is very clean and all the children all love being there.
My daughter has a very specific diet due to her autism and the nursery have had no issue accommodating this.

The nursery is brilliant, I would recommend it to anyone.

Since my son has been at Step by Step he's come on leaps and bounds and words can't describe how proud I am of him. This is all thanks to the girls at the nursery. The love my son has for the girls is out of this world because they have given their time to him.
I rave about the nursery all the time
to all my friends and I know a few parents that they have ended up sending their children to the nursery.

My son has been attending Step by Step Private Nursery since October 2013 when he was 9 months old. I would highly recommend the nursery. My son takes part in a whole range of activities including swimming, Forest School, and mini kickers to name a few. The nursery always give the children good opportunities
to be outside and have a good garden. The staff are great and have a really good understanding of each child and their personal needs.

My daughter has attended Step by Step since she was 6 months old and is now 4. In all her time there I have always been more than happy and impressed by the care, learning and environment she is in. The staff are excellent and the nursery is managed very well. Her confidence continues to grow and she
is developing brilliantly, this I put down to the teaching and support given by Step by Step.
My daughter has recently started swimming lessons through the nursery which she loves. This sets Step by Step wide from other nurseries, always looking for new ways/activities for the child.

This nursery is excellent. They offer a huge variety of activities including swimming lessons, music lessons and Forest School. The children go out everyday regardless of weather thanks to their partially covered outdoor area. With electronic learning journals, you get almost daily pictures of your
children at nursery- which is much better than just words but the best thing is the staff, they are so friendly, welcoming, calm and caring. I'll be very sad when my kids have to go to school.

Both our children go to Step by Step and we think it is a great nursery. The staff are enthusiastic, energetic and have a great attitude. The children are outside every day (weather permitting) and there are visits to local parks and botanic gardens.
Both kids love going there and we feel that they
are both educated and encouraged to have fun at the same time.

Excellent nursery- staff are well trained, child centred in their planning and genuinely care about the children in their care. My son has built positive relationships and thrives academically socially and emotionally during this time at nursery. The nursery provides a broad and varied range of activities
and involve parents every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend Step by Step Private Nursery to other parents.

Both of our children have been at the nursery since they were one (3yrs) They both love the nursery and have created strong bonds with the staff. The staff are friendly and caring. The staff focus on activities that the kids are interested in whilst challenging them with new experiences. The playroom
have weekly swimming lessons which are excellent and also go to the forest school which is great. Would definitely recommend Step by Step.

As a previous employee, when I was looking for childcare for my 18 month old son I knew there was nowhere else I would feel confident in taking him. We visited nurseries closer to my workplace and the standards and environment did not compare to step by step in my opinion.


My son absolutely loves

going to nursery, he had bonded with all the staff and they make you feel like your child was one of their own. The variety of activities is impressive, they observe the children's interest beforehand, to provide activities they know the child will love!


The children are outside in the garden every day, and also go on local walks and trips regularly.


Would most definitely recommend this nursery to anyone, by far the best nursery in the area. It's great knowing I'm at work and my child is having a brilliant time without me :)

Step by Step is an excellent nursery, the staff are all friendly and are well equipped to carry out their job. My daughter has been at this nursery since Sept 2014 and I have been very impressed with all aspects of my child's care. She has formed strong bonds with the staff and other children and there was a very well thought out settling in period that was tailored to her needs. The communication we have with
the nursery is excellent and we are kept fully informed at all times. I have visited other nurseries in the past but none were close in terms of the absolute confidence I have that my daughter is safe and cared for and her development is being fully supported.

My son spent over 2 years at Step by Step Nursery. The staff were very encouraging and spent time with my son with small groups of children to build up his confidence at the beginning. On leaving the nursery to go to school he has much more confidence and has learnt many new things to help with the
years ahead at primary school. The staff are very polite, great with the children. I loved the fact that they were constantly taking them out on trips to improve their learning, forest schools, learning to ride a bike, farm parks and local parks. Always giving them the chance to learn and to play.
