Situated in Jesmond and recently fully refurbished in 2018, the nursery offers exceptional care to babies and children aged from six weeks to five years.

This beautiful property has been fully modernised whilst retaining all its glorious original features creating a nursery with Tynemouth’s unique homely feel.

With four main base rooms and an enclosed large outdoor area, the highly qualified staff team provide quality care and education for all of the children.

The nursery is proud to have the prestigious Millies's Mark accreditation awarded in 2018, having this award demonstrates the nursery's commitment to going above and beyond the minimum requirements for keeping children safe.

All staff working directly with children not only hold a paediatric first aid certificate but are also competent in how to apply this in practice.

My son enjoys his time at nursery and always leaves with a smile on his face. The team have been great at helping our son settle in and extending a warm welcome to our family. It is great to receive information and pictures of what he is getting up to each day. We'd highly recommend Tynemouth Nursery
at Jesmond to any of our friends or family.

My son recently started at Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond and has had such a great time so far. The team have been so supportive in helping him settle in well and they give really detailed feedback on how he's getting on, both through the online portal and verbally at pick-up. I love the pictures that
get sent daily, it is encouraging to see him so happy and to see the wide range of activities he is able to engage with. We also feel very supported as a family, our son has a term time only place which makes it affordable for us to send him.

We have been using this nursery since 2017 and both of my boys have absolutely loved it here. At this point the staff feel like extended family, they are always happy to chat and know both children inside and out. Even now my eldest son is at school when he comes with me to pick up his brother they
are always interested in how his day has been and keen to ask him what he has been up to. In terms of supporting them with academic and personal development I have been impressed by the range of activities on offer and how hard they work to ensure readiness for the transition to school. Support with things like potty training has also been excellent and I can be confident that they are eating healthy balanced meals as well (they eat far more variety at nursery than they will at home!).

All three of our children have attended Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond over the last four years and we could not be happier with the care they have received. It is a wonderfully nurturing and homely environment and being a smaller nursery has a real sense of community. The staff are really warm and enthusiastic
and all have a lovely relationship with the children. They organise lots of engaging activities for the children including sessions run by outside agencies e.g. football/ tennis/ French and go above and beyond in terms of organising other events e.g. Christmas parties and trips. We have found them to be very flexible and accommodating and they have sensible and pragmatic policies. Our kids have all loved their time here and we feel entirely confident leaving our children in their care.

I visited no fewer than ten nurseries before deciding on Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond for my baby and this is simply the best nursery in the area. The experienced team of staff are loving, kind and caring and clearly genuinely cares about the children. The management team have been really flexible and
accommodating of our work situations and always try to help as much as possible. I’m so pleased I chose this nursery for my little boy and I’m looking forward to watching him flourish there.

My son attends this nursery since September of last year. We are very happy with it. It took some weeks for him to settle, but the staff was above and beyond. He felt welcomed and cared for, nothing was little, so he easily felt in love with the staff (especially his keyworker, whom he still adores
to the day).
The activities are so good and help children develop confidence and autonomy. Our baby boy is now a very confident toddler, loves everyone in the nursery, and it's always happy while there. I must refer that as a vegan, from day one, everything was easy and good, We have never felt any resistance with our dietary requirements, and I'm very happy that my son comes home talking about what he had for lunch. Everything is great and I couldn't be more happy with the staff, the facilities and the nursery in general.

I researched many nurseries in my local area and this is by far the best. My little girl has been attending for six months now and I can't believe how much they have learned in such a short space of time. She now sits through meals using a fork, they have her napping with the other children. She is
trying new foods, and her communication skills have improved massively. She has started being vocal and also recognises all the staff in a positive way. Loves her days at nursery and I love the app they have where everything is logged so I can see exactly how her day is going while at work.

We are so happy that our little boy goes to Tynemouth Nursery Jesmond. The staff are all fantastic, so caring to the children and really get to know them so well. From my first visit the nursery felt so homely and a great environment for children with all the activities and the garden. Our little boy
has so much fun and has developed so much since starting nursery. We are kept up to date every day with the parent admin app, which we love! We couldn't recommend the nursery highly enough.

The staff always go above and beyond to help the children settle in and feel welcomed and loved at the nursery. The activities they do are so varied day to day and week by week. Both of my children have developed in confidence and have learned so much since going. It is a lovely nursery with such a

We couldn’t recommend Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond enough, the staff are wonderful and we are so pleased we chose this nursery for our son. From the first morning drop off, we were instantly put at ease and our son loves every minute with the staff and other children. There is such a great range of
activities and variety for the children throughout the day and you can keep up with it all on the parent log in too.

I would highly recommend this nursery. My daughter has been here since she was 9 months old and has been extremely happy here from day one. She is always enthusiastic to go on a morning and tells me all about the exciting activities she has been involved in during the day. The children have some great
opportunities to take part in such as piano lessons, French, tennis etc. I always feel relaxed while I’m at work as I know she is in great hands! The staff are first class and the care and affection the children are given is second to none. The parent app we have access to is great, we get to know the meals the children have during the day (which are delicious I’m told!) and the amount they have eaten. There are often photos on to show snippets of what they have been up to that day and the weekly round up newsletter gives a fantastic insight into what has been happening that week. Great communication from the nursery and extremely well led and managed.

My granddaughter absolutely thrives in this nursery in her own little age group! She’s come on leaps and bounds and it’s thanks to the dedication from staff members. The staff are friendly in a way where they are genuinely nice and want to know about “your day”.

A fantastic nursery. The staff are unbelievably caring. My little girl has settled in very quickly. They get a good variety of food and snacks. Lots of extra activities such as companies coming in with animals, music lessons. They do lots of messy play, song time, baking. I would highly recommend this

Our two kids recently started at Tynemouth Jesmond and the staff have been brilliant. Our boy, 21months, now runs up the path and dances in excitement. Our little girl (nearly 4) comes home with new skills most days. Her letter recognition and writing (mostly wiggles but increasingly deliberate) has
really come on and she has grown in confidence. Most importantly, they both talk about their room leaders and friends all the time! They loved the pony visit for Christmas and are learning so much about the world they live in. We couldn't be more grateful to the staff for their love and care, especially under complex circumstances.

So happy that my son started at this nursery! He absolutely loves going there and the range of activities that the nursery provides for the children is outstanding - there are regular classes such as football and tennis, singing and French. But there is always something extra special and seasonal -
from Easter Bunny visits at Easter to bouncy castles in the summer, and then pumpkin-picking in the autumn and visits from the Elf on the Shelf and Santa at Christmas! They are often doing something crazy with slime or shaving foam and have arranged for educational rock pools and hatching eggs. The children are exposed to so many interesting themes and the nursery is very diverse when it comes to learning (and accepting) different religions or family set-ups. The staff are all very motivated and supportive of the kids - absolute superstars! The food seems to be top-notch and the nursery offers full/half days but also “school” days which is from 9am-3:30pm. Love it!

We recently moved to Newcastle and hence were worried about how our daughter will be settling in the new nursery with new staff etc. but I was really surprised to see her so excited to go back to nursery in the next morning, all thanks to the very warm and welcoming staff who made her comfortable from
day one. She is always greeted by a smiling face at the door. I can go to work every day completely satisfied that my child is in the best care! She loves the variety of activities and making friends. At the end of every week, the staff shares a "Highlight of Your Week" email which fills me in on what she's been doing the whole week which I really appreciate. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, any questions I have they are always willing to help me. All round, great nursery, I would definitely recommend to other parents.

Our daughter started nursery at 10 months and she absolutely loves it there. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and you can tell they really care about the children and their well-being. Our daughter gets very excited to be dropped off which gives us such comfort and peace of mind, knowing she’s
enjoying her days in nursery. The updates on the portal are extremely informative and show all the activities they take part in which is brilliant to see. The staff seem to go above and beyond with knowing details about our little girl and making sure we’re happy with everything too!

My daughter is so happy with the nursery, she is speaking English since she started. Also, I think the activities are amazing for her development. I visited so many nurseries before I had a choice, and I think that was the best thing that I did for my family. Because we can work in peace our daughter

Lee has over 18 years of experience in childcare and 14 years have been at Tynemouth Nursery Group, 10 years as a Nursery Manager. She is qualified to level 4 in childcare.
