My son has been at Little Legs for nearly a year now and has come in amazingly. His speech has improved massively and he is much more sociable. Staff are great at updating you about their day at pick up and they all know every child. They’ve always been accommodating when we need an extra day here and
there too. The outdoor space is great, my son loves it.

My son has been at Little Legs since 2022 and is now in the pre-school room. He comes home every day happy and talks endlessly of his best friends and the things he has done that day.
We get frequent updates on his progress and when we pick him up we get told about his day. He's a very fussy eater
and the nursery have been really good at updating me on whether he's eaten etc which is nice to know.
The staff are brilliant and really helpful. Any questions I've ever had are responded to quickly and professionally.
The camera is a great feature as you can check on them throughout the day to see that they're enjoying themselves. My son absolutely adores the garden as well.
We have a new baby who will be joining my oldest at the nursery in the coming months and I have absolutely no concerns that he will fit in brilliantly and will be well looked after and cared for.

Moved to Brentwood in February 2023 and Little Legs had space for my gorgeous little guy. Going back to work I was worried sending him somewhere but oh my god they have made me feel so at ease and he has come on so much. I was worried he was a bit behind but now he’s a thriving almost 2 year old who
is non stop chatting and loves going to nursery. A big shout out to the ladies who looked after him in the baby class - it’s a home from home, thank you!

Our little one has been going to Little Legs for 3 months and absolutely loves it.
We came from a really bad experience with a different nursery and were so worried about moving him to different settings, but since day 1 he’s loved it.
All staff is great, they’re very friendly and do an amazing job.
I see all kids super happy about going to nursery in the morning.
Very good communication to parents as well, they send us regular newsletters and updates through the app.
I 100% recommended it.

My little girl has been attending this nursery since she was fifteen months. She is in the toddler room now and the staff are absolutely fantastic. My little girl talks about them all the time at home. They are so friendly and look after the children really well. It is a nice homely nursery with great
outside space including a huge garden.

I think Little Legs Nursery Hutton is a truly fantastic nursery for any child to attend. The staff are so patient and loving towards all of the children that attend Little Legs Nursery Hutton. They make sure each child is given attention and looked after equally. It really is like a second home for
the children and they get just as much care here as they would when at home. I recently attended the Easter Parade and I can honestly say I had the best day as did every other parent that I spoke to. It was really nice to be able to meet the management and all the staff. They all worked so hard to make the event fun for the children and it was a joy to watch them perform on the patio. I'm so grateful for everything they do at this nursery and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

Again, thank you for taking the time to feedback to us, the team will be over the moon!

I would not recommend this nursery to anyone. My daughter (16 months) attended the nursery for 3 months. She was left unsupervised with another child whilst the other child hit her on the head three times. The failure of the nursery to handle the incident was shocking and disgusting. As a result, she
no longer attends the nursery and the incident was reported to Ofsted immediately. The inadequate Ofsted rating the nursery got in February is completely accurate and I would not recommend this setting to any parent.

Reply from Senior Management, Senior Management at Little Legs Nursery Hutton

Thank you for your feedback. We value all feedback positive and negative and appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We understand that you had given notice since being informed of our recent Ofsted report prior to the alleged incident above. As explained in our in full internal investigation and upon reviewing CCTV footage and witness statements, children have not been and are never left unsupervised. We understand that our notice period and refund policy does not suit everyone however as a setting these are set out clearly in our terms and conditions. As clarified to all parents and as explained from the inspector on the day, we do not feel that the report reflects the brilliant work our team do and we will be keen to showcase this on our next inspection.

My little girl has just turned two and has been at the nursery in the last 6-months. My son who is now six also attended the same nursery from around the age of two until he left to start reception. The staff at Little Legs care so much about the children, which is one of the main reasons I choose it
for my two children to go there above any other nursery. They will comfort the children as much as that child needs, which makes me feel happy knowing they will receive the same comforting they would get at home if they were upset. Both my children formed/have formed special bonds with their key workers as well as other staff within the nursery, which again, just shows the amount of care they are given.
Another massive pro to Little Legs is the garden, it is by far the largest and most homely out of all the nurseries I have viewed in the past, and the children just absolutely love it. Come rain or shine; the nursery will make sure the children get fresh air daily.

My son has attended Little Legs for six months and has been in the Starlight Room. He loves it at the nursery and looks forward to his adventures and seeing all of his friends there. He has a close bond with his main carer. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming to both the children and parents.
He has come on leaps and bounds whilst at the nursery. He is learning core skills like sharing and has recently cracked toilet training.
He enjoys things like messy play, play-doh, painting etc but he also absolutely loves the big garden and has thoroughly enjoyed his summer months at the nursery, playing in the lovely garden.
The nursery has a home from home feel, which I think is lovely for the children. My son has been very happy here, as have I with the care he has received. Thank you to all the staff at Little Legs.

Our little one has been going to Little Legs, Hutton for 12 months now and he loves it. He has a real bond with his key worker and his physical and mental development have been progressing really well. Access to the amazing garden at the back of the nursery has sparked his curiosity outdoors. We trust
all the carers and staff at the nursery and we feel comfortable he is in the best possible hands while we are at work. We also love that we can log into the CCTV to check in on him during the day.

My daughter starting nursery was very emotional and hard for me but wow, this nursery is incredible. Great staff who really care about my daughter. You can see how genuinely happy she is to see everybody. She has a great bond with not only the staff but has a few other babies (she’s 11 months old) that
she is really close to. She smiles when she sees the other children. Watching the cameras, I see the amount of attention and love that goes into looking after my daughter. The conversations they have and encouraging her development/skills. Truly a great nursery that I couldn’t recommend enough.

My son has attended Little Legs since he was a year old, he is now 3 and in their pre-school room. My elder daughter also attended from age 2-4.
We chose Little Legs because of its homely atmosphere, it feels like one big happy family. There is always laughter and smiles from children and staff alike,
and it is clear that the staff adore the children they look after.
Both of my children have blossomed under the care of the fantastic staff at Little Legs, developing communication skills, the ability to share, play imaginatively, table manners, basic literacy, numeracy skills. They also have had the chance to explore the lovely garden, participate in forest school and explore all sorts of messy play and crafts. I love how busy they are all day and how many things they get up to! In addition, Little Legs do a wonderful job in preparing their little charges for school adventures. We will be incredibly sad to leave our Little Legs days behind this summer when my son starts school!

I would highly recommend Little Legs. I pulled my little girl out of another nursery when she was 18 months having persevered expecting her to eventually find her place and be happy. I eventually moved her to Little Legs and within two weeks she was so much happier and has continued to thrive. The
nursery assistants are diligent, helpful, loving and most importantly they love our children like their own. I sometimes struggle to pull my little girl away from there; she tends to want to stay longer, which is a very good sign of a happy content child! I recently asked if during my daughters time at the nursery they could concentrate specifically on writing her name and within a day my daughter was writing her name, which I'd been struggling with teaching her for weeks!!! The nursery staff are adaptable and willing to take on any comments and add to their teaching plan if there is anything specific required by a parent.

I love Little Legs, and most importantly so does my little girl.

My daughter has been attending Little Legs since she was 1 year old. She is now 3 and she loves it. The settling in went very smoothly and my daughter was happy from the start.

The best part of the nursery is the staff. Everybody involved with the children is so very involved and genuinely cares

about them. At the same time, I find them highly professional and they have an eye for the developmental goals of the children. I think the staff that works there are happy. Generally, when you have a happy staff, you get good care.

There is a huge garden the children play in when it's dry. There are also a ton of activities the staff come up with each day.
They do have an IT system called tapestry where they place updates on of your children and you can check it out. There's also a webcam on but only accessible for parents.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. It has been a great and happy experience for our entire family and I feel it really prepares my daughter for primary school.

My now 2 year old son started at Little Legs when he was 13 months old. He had a few settling in sessions and then went on to go for four full days a week. He settled in immediately and took to it like a duck to water. I put this down to the staff being so lovely and great with him. I chose this nursery
as it was the only one that felt right when I walked in (and it has a fantastic garden). My son has been happy here since he started and my second son is due to start next year too. I am certain he will be just as happy. My 2 year old’s development has come on in leaps and bounds, with his vocabulary really improving within the last few months. He has some great friends at nursery so being there is definitely helping his social skills. Thank you Little Legs.

My son has been at Little Legs Hutton since February 2018. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and made his transition to nursery very easy - he runs in every morning full of smiles ready to say goodbye to me! All his meals are freshly made each day and the variety of foods is excellent. The
garden is very large and weather permitting he’s outside playing everyday. He has developed so much in the time he’s been there and the daily reports of what he’s been up to reassure me that he’s in very good hands! I would happily recommend this nursery!

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.507)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.507) out of 10 for Little Legs Nursery Hutton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.944 for Little Legs Nursery Hutton is calculated as follows: ( (34 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.944

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.563 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Legs Nursery Hutton is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 number of registered child places is 9.6. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.6 = 0.313

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
