Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Charlton supports the transition to school as they have a link to Sherrington Primary School meaning their children have direct access to the school grounds. They make regular supervised visits to the classrooms, use the assembly halls and see the bigger children in their environment.

They are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world. The nursery holds the prestigious Green Flag Status Award (the highest possible), an Eco-school programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained and they have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children, such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

They also have a ParentZone app that keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery which includes photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress!

Each age group 0-2 and 2-5 years have their own rooms which they have personalised to create their own areas they can enjoy. The nursery has a luxurious balcony for the over twos which has a roof canopy allowing the children to extend their play in an outdoor environment.

Babies have a separate soft surface garden area with artificial grass, giving them varied textures to begin to explore the outside world in play. There are musical toys and mirrors attached to the walls to provide stimulating play.

Current son has been there for over 3 years and is always happy. The team are great and do a fantastic job. The nursery manager treats all the children like her own and has been an enormous help. Recently, my son has been getting some exciting homework from his key person where he is learning how to
write his name and recognise letters to get him ready for nursery which has been really helpful. He has also been set homework which requires him to make something which he is really enjoying since he loves arts and crafts.

Our daughter has been attending since mid-October at seven months, and the staff have been so caring, attentive and helpful. My daughter loves her key worker and the other staff in the room. Her development has been fantastic, and they encourage her so much.
The app updates are great, and we get so
many photos showing all the things they’re up to.
The menu is varied and healthy, with on-site cooked food, which is a bonus.
Very happy with our choice.

We have had the best experience at the nursery. My daughter started in September, and she absolutely loves it. Her key carer is amazing and communicates to us so well about her day and development. Also, all the staff at the nursery know her and she is comfortable with them all. The activities the staff
put together are really creative and aimed at helping her develop skills, and she has learned so much there already. We chose the nursery because my stepdaughter went here a decade ago and raved about it. It is great to see that it has maintained such high standards of care.

I had the pleasure of finally enrolling my child in this nursery in September, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The managers are exceptional, always approachable, and truly care about the children's well-being and their staff. The staff members are really friendly and they create a warm
and welcoming environment for both children and parents. We were concerned about moving our daughter but within 2 days, she said she loved the nursey.
One aspect that truly stands out is the consistent and transparent communication. I always receive updates on what my child has been doing throughout the day, which provides peace of mind. Knowing that my child is well-cared for and engaged in various activities puts me at ease while I'm at work. Overall, I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing and communicative environment for their child.

Excellent. We attended Grandparents morning and were impressed by the activities and everything and all the staff and management. They provided us lunch which was a delicious fish pie with plenty of good quality fish like salmon in it and obviously cooked on the premises. The pudding was stewed fresh
apple which was excellent as not highly sweetened and the custard was just right. The children ate all of theirs, including our grandson. The only observation was that they are short-staffed at the moment so need extra help because 2 to 3-year-olds need more supervision outside of lunch and food times.

The Co-op Childcare Charlton opened its doors to the children's grandparents this morning. We painted, threaded beads, modelled with playdough and much more. It was a joy to spend time with my grandson and also to be involved with the other children and grandparents. What a great idea. It seems everyone
enjoyed it. Let's hope they decide to do it again. We were even invited to a delicious lunch!

My first daughter started at this nursery ten years ago, and my new daughter just started last month. The nursery has been consistently incredible over the entire period. The staff are caring, and the procedures in place both to protect your child and to monitor their developmental progress are top-notch.
I think the leadership of the nursery really ought to be commended for keeping the nursery so excellent for so long!

Under the care and stewardship of the manager and one other, the Co-op Charlton nursery has become our girl's home-from-home. It has the perfect balance for nurturing a child, with the morning set aside for learning and play being given the afternoon, which other nurseries seem to lack. We couldn’t
think about our girls going anywhere else (this side of school, obviously!).

The Co-op nursery has helped us manage the last few years really well. The team clearly care a great deal and has been very accommodating and flexible around us. More outdoor space would be nice, and the costs are high but these are reasonable in this part of London.

We have been so impressed by the settling-in process at the nursery for our 2-year-old. The people in Butterflies are so caring, especially two members of the staff in particular. The manager has been very welcoming and informative too. Thank you all!

Our experience with the nursery has been lovely. My daughter enjoys going there as the staff are very welcoming. She has learnt so much from the nursery despite only going there 2 days a week. I was anxious at first deciding to pull her out of her previous nursery but it has been one of the best decisions

My son started at the Co-op Childcare nursery when he was 13 months old. The staff were very understanding and supportive in his settling days and the first couple of weeks (he had a fair bit of separation anxiety in the first fortnight or so) and they’re good at giving me feedback on how he’s doing
and what he’s up to during the day. Overall it’s been a very positive experience and I’d recommend the nursery to other first-time parents!

I deliver my granddaughter once a week and fetch her once a week from the Co-op Childcare Charlton nursery. I find all the staff friendly, professional and helpful. They always greet us by name and they always afford the time to have a brief conversation with both me and my granddaughter. They greet
and welcome her with an engaging attitude and so she is always happy to toddle off without a backwards glance. This is a happy place!

The staff are caring and approachable. The team provide helpful updates and good photos on the app and they also give additional details at the end of the day. The Manager and Deputy Manager are dedicated, friendly and popular with the children. A special mention must also go to the nursery cook, who
provides delicious, nutritionally-balanced meals for the children. We have moved away from the area now and were sorry to leave this nursery.

We have had two children attend this nursery over the last six years and we have been consistently happy with their care. The manager has been there for over thirteen years and clearly has an enormous amount of love for her job, the children and her staff. She always makes our children feel very special.

Our daughter has been attending this nursery for a year and during that time we have been very impressed. The staff are warm and professional and take the time to get to know each child. She learns every day from the many activities available to her and we receive personalised tips to help her development
at home. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the early years education. Pastorally they are also very strong - supportive, responsive and there is a strong sense that they enjoy the children and have fun with them.

My son has been attending the nursery for two years now and the quality of the nursery has remained consistent over time. I have never had any reason to complain, on the rare occasion where there is any miscommunication the nursery manager works quickly to resolve issues. My son looks forward to going
in every morning and tells me what an amazing day he has had every day he gets back. Fantastic manager, amazing staff. Really happy that I made the right choice by placing my son there. Thank you to the entire team for doing an outstanding job.

My daughter loves spending time at her nursery and is always thrilled after she comes home. She always tells me about the great food, the new nursery rhymes she has been learning, her making new friends and the new games she's learned. Also, since she's been going to the nursery, she started eating
food that she usually didn't like and now enjoys, such as peas. The staff are all very friendly and caring and I can see that in the progress she has made at home, at the nursery and mostly everywhere she goes. I also receive daily updates on what she ate/did/played with/her drawings and paintings and how much she slept, which is a relief because I know she is safe and well. Her communication and socialisation skills have been improved massively. Thank you to all the Co-op Childcare Charlton staff!
