Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Charlton supports the transition to school as they have a link to Sherrington Primary School meaning their children have direct access to the school grounds. They make regular supervised visits to the classrooms, use the assembly halls and see the bigger children in their environment.

They are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world. The nursery holds the prestigious Green Flag Status Award (the highest possible), an Eco-school programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained and they have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children, such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

They also have a ParentZone app that keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery which includes photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress!

Each age group 0-2 and 2-5 years have their own rooms which they have personalised to create their own areas they can enjoy. The nursery has a luxurious balcony for the over twos which has a roof canopy allowing the children to extend their play in an outdoor environment.

My 18-month-old son has been attending Co-op Childcare since he was 12 months old. He absolutely loves the nursery and his key worker. Co-op clearly care so much about the babies' development and happiness and I'm so happy we picked this nursery over other options in the area. The app gets updated constantly
with photos and updates which is great to read when you are at work. I'd recommend this nursery 100%.

Brilliant experience with the Co-op Childcare, from the baby room right up to reception wrap-around. Our daughter has learnt so much and we have been confident she is safe, cared for and having a great time at each stage of her care and learning. Thoroughly recommend.

My child has been attending since January 2021. She has really developed in Co-op Childcare and the staff are very attentive to my child's needs.
My child is undergoing some assessments for special needs and the SEN lead has been great and really has been helping with her learning plan.
The management
of the nursery is excellent and she has been with the site a very long time so is very knowledgeable and lovely.
There is a long waiting list but it shows what a great nursery it is.
They have a great daily feedback app which keeps you up to date with all meals, naps, toilet trips and daily activities with great info and pictures of my child.
The meals always look great and very nutritional.
The opening hours are one of the longest (07:30-18:30) in the area which is what attracted us to start with but so glad we joined.

Since my daughter started nursery in January she has felt settled and happy, I had no need to be nervous about her changing schools. We are so pleased we moved our toddler to this nursery. It just seems like a really friendly environment and the staff are patient and great at communicating. We love seeing all of the updates on the app and it is clear that they have really got to know our son and his likes and dislikes. We love that
he is outside so much exploring. He doesn’t yet speak but the size of his tummy at the end of the day also indicates that he enjoys the food he is given.

This nursery is amazing, the staff is really caring and have connected with my child in a way I wasn't expecting, my son looks forward to going to nursery, he was grown in confidence so much, and he is even writing his own name. The manager and the Co-op Childcare Charlton Day Nursery have been a part of our family for the past seven years. Both of our boys started in the caterpillar's room and sadly, the time has come to say goodbye. I cannot recommend the nursery enough - not only do they provide fantastic childcare, but
it is done so with compassion, attention and dedication. The manager always went the extra mile in providing extra support when needed (to both parents and children!). Both boys transitioned through different key workers and each and everyone played a vital part in their development - undoubtedly through the passionate and child-centred approach which the staff adopted. The nursery chef doubles as a magician as somehow, the children all eat (and enjoy) the food which she cooks - my son apparently will only eat the chef's carrots! Thank you to the manager and to the staff at Charlton Co-op - you've given both my boys the best start to their lives.

Kind and caring staff with plenty of activities during the day for the children to partake in. My child’s key worker has been wonderful, incredibly patient, calm and communicative with us. It is lovely to see what my child does during the day through the app. They have managed working through the pandemic
very well and have set out well thought out procedures and protocol and are clearly well-organised thanks to the manager, who is also very hands-on with the children as well. I would happily recommend this nursery to parents in the area.

Co-op Childcare Charlton is first class. Very happy with the care and attention paid by the staff. The nursery have handled Covid measures really sensibly, and my daughter settled in so well even with the precautions in place. This nursery has worked tirelessly to engage and keep safe my daughter during this strange year. Lovely staff who genuinely seem pleased to see the children each day. The progress she has made is phenomenal with the range of activities on offer. Very happy to know she is there during my working day

Our son has really developed whilst at nursery.
All the staff are on hand to give us feedback and help with his development.
He has been encouraged to learn and really enjoys numbers and reading.

I love this nursery. All the staff are great and are practically interchangeable (ie he doesn't only need his keyworker). I love the tips and ideas given to encourage learning at the weekend. I love the activities that are presented via the app (the meals look good too).
I would highly recommend this
nursery and I feel sorry for kids that don't get a place there.

My son has been here since September 2019 and we are very happy with the care. The links with the preschool are especially helpful and make for a smooth transition. Unfortunately, he has had a few changes of keyworker due to staff leaving but he hasn’t been affected. The manager and staff are great.
The only reason I have put ‘good’ for some areas eg ICT and equipment is that I’m not actually sure.

Would absolutely recommend Charlton Co-op nursery - my son just loves it! He was younger than 8 months when he started and has settled in very well - the staff and management have been very caring and taught him so much! He is now 18 months and can’t wait every day to go into nursery- the number of

We joined the nursery during the lockdown, hence seen the nursery only via the Zoom meeting. The nursery manager was very helpful, showed the facilities around and answered all our questions. Once the lockdown was lifted we were invited to an open day and we saw the nursery in person. We were switching
the nurseries, hence were a bit worried about how well our daughter will settle in. I'm glad to say she's doing very well and enjoys her new nursery. There are always 2 activities organised on a daily basis that keep her occupied and interested and at the same time, there is time for free play in the afternoon. The garden area is huge and for us, it's a massive change comparing to the previous nursery. And finally, the app - we receive pictures and constant updates on what our daughter does during the day which is awesome. I can send comments/questions and always receive a response from the key worker within minutes. We made the best decision to switch, just wish we did it earlier.

I cannot recommend the Co-op Childcare Charlton highly enough. My son attended from aged two to six and my daughter has been at the nursery for the past two years. The nursery provides a very stimulating and nurturing environment. The staff team are well trained, very friendly and really attend to each
child's individual needs thus ensuring that their time at nursery is safe and containing, whilst also gently encouraging learning and independence. My children loved and love the outdoor space, which includes a covered balcony that is accessible in all weathers and ensures children can access both indoor and outdoor activities at all times. Daily online updates ensure that parents know of the many varied activities their children have engaged with and what food they have eaten, which is tasty, nutritious and cooked from scratch every day. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The manager and her lovely team are fantastic and go the extra mile.
