Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Charlton supports the transition to school as they have a link to Sherrington Primary School meaning their children have direct access to the school grounds. They make regular supervised visits to the classrooms, use the assembly halls and see the bigger children in their environment.

They are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world. The nursery holds the prestigious Green Flag Status Award (the highest possible), an Eco-school programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained and they have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children, such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

They also have a ParentZone app that keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery which includes photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress!

Each age group 0-2 and 2-5 years have their own rooms which they have personalised to create their own areas they can enjoy. The nursery has a luxurious balcony for the over twos which has a roof canopy allowing the children to extend their play in an outdoor environment.

Babies have a separate soft surface garden area with artificial grass, giving them varied textures to begin to explore the outside world in play. There are musical toys and mirrors attached to the walls to provide stimulating play.

I have two daughters who are very happy attending this nursery. They have both attended from about the age of 9 months old.
They have always been settled and comfortable in the surroundings. The staff are excellent, from the rooms to the managers.
I don't think you are ever sure when you first
leave your child at nursery but I couldn't be happier with the care my girls have received. We all love it!

We are happy with The Co-operative Childcare Charlton Nursery, my son has learnt a lot from school such as using a spoon and hand over dishes to us once finishing dinner, trying to communicate with hand languages and he has picked up a lot of vocabularies. Teachers give us updates with timely manners,
we enjoy looking at my son's art crafts, pictures etc. I do recommend this school.

My son loves coming to nursery here! He interacts well with all the staff and has developed and learned an enormous amount since starting in 2015. The staff are friendly, helpful enthusiastic and I can discuss any aspect of my son's care or development easily with them.

Its always a worry when you go back to work from maternity leave, but the staff at Charlton made it much easier. They were so caring and soon knew my little boys favourite toy, to get so he'd be happy when I left. They even decorated the ceiling above the change area to distract him, as he wasn't a
fan of nappy changes. It's the personalised touches for your child that help make you feel they are cared for and nurtured when you're not there.
My little boy is now three and I have been so happy with the care they provided.
I recommend the day to care to everyone.

Our son has attended Charlton Co-Operative Nursery since November 2014 and we have consistently been delighted with the care and support he has been shown. This child care provides a safe, caring and secure environment for my daughter to develop in. They also helped my daughter to develop physically, socially and emotionally and prepared her for the transition to school. They do take illness very seriously. I can pick and drop my daughter any time of the
day. My daughter enjoys activities like; playing with the sand pit, painting, listening to stories, puzzles and singing nursery rhymes. Childcare has a wide range of age-appropriate and culturally diverse toys and books. They display plenty of drawings and paintings that the children have done themselves, which shows their creativity is valued and encouraged. The key workers are enthusiastic and friendly.

My daughter has attended nursery at Sherington for 3 months now and I am very pleased with the level of care given to my child. The care workers and all members of staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They have helped my daughter settle into the nursery and she really loves it here. Since
attending Sherington nursery my daughter has developed tremendously and I believe the staff at Sherington have really helped to encourage her development and support us in helping her progress.

As soon as we walked into Sherington nursery on our first visit we knew it was the place we wanted to send our son and were prepared to wait for a place. I really liked both the indoor and balcony areas and the outdoor play area. It is spacious and the design of the different play areas has been well
thought through. My son is really developing in their care having initially been behind in certain areas of his development. We have found the staff to be very focused on our child's individual needs and all good communicators. We are also very happy with the wide array of activities that the children engage in.
