Norfolk House Nursery provides full-time and sessional day care for children aged three months to four-years-old, within a spacious Victorian house, that is situated close to Norfolk House School.

A team of skilled and professional childcare staff offer children the opportunity to spend all of their time learning, supporting them in a carefully developed learning environment. Staff work together ensuring that children are safe at all times as they learn and grow in a light, airy and spacious environment.

All rooms at the nursery are carefully designed and furnished with solid maple furniture and encompass a range of activity areas including: role-play, science and discovery, construction, art, wet play and literacy.

The nursery has its own secure grounds with a secret garden, log cabin, staged area and musical gazebo where children can benefit from storytelling, ball and sand pits, vegetable and plant boxes and a fruit growing area. All of these things encourage and support each child's learning and development, while offering them the chance to get fresh air and exercise regularly.

My little boy started in Jan 25. The nursery and staff were fantastic in helping him to settle in. They tailor their approach to him and maintain excellent communication with me. They do many fun activities with the babies as well as children. I'm pleased with the nursery and the care that my son

Norfolk house is an exception nursery. My son started in Sept of last year aged 7 months and loves his nursery days, as did his elder sisters who are now at school. The staff are brilliant we cannot praise them enough, they are very caring and focused on the needs of the individual child.

A great nursery for my son. We believe that he has become more independent and confident from the moment we first sent him and seeing him develop has been a joyful journey and we appreciate the efforts of the nursery staff who have helped along the way.
He now loves attending and is almost like a second
home for him. The quality of staff and facilities is of the highest and it makes us comfortable knowing that he is in good hands.
The handover process when we pick him up is always informative and we get a clear understanding of how his day went, what he did and what he ate etc.
We are extremely happy and would recommend Norfolk House Nursery to all parents.

Our daughter has been full time at Norfolk House (Norfolk Road) for the last two years and absolutely loves being at the nursery. The rooms are light and airy, with stimulating and educational set ups every day. The staff are caring and kind, engaging positively with the children. The outside space
was the reason we chose the nursery and we love that she is always outside in the fresh air. We're so happy that we chose Norfolk House to care for our daughter.

My son has been attending Norfolk House on Norfolk Road for the last 12 months. Everyone at the nursery has been friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming and he has really loved his time there. The staff all know him well and he enjoys seeing them. He has eaten an interesting and varied diet and explored

The nursery has yet again exceeded my expectations of what an early years setting should be like. From the detailed parent's evening meeting, (that clearly showed how well staff know the children in their rooms), to their support during difficult nap transitions. My little girl has been at Norfolk House Nursery for 18 months now. I'm very happy to know that she spends her time in such a lovely setting with great staff. She takes part in many activities and is happy to play with her friends each day, it has been great watching those bonds emerge. Nursery holds
regular stay and play sessions, which are a nice chance to see what she gets up to.

Over the last 9 years, I have had 3 children at Norfolk House Nursery with the youngest still here. The care provided to children is amazing the staff are caring and always go above and beyond. Management is approachable and also involved within the different rooms. A happy environment with lots of

We had our twins attend Norfolk House for a year before they started school; our experience was very positive. The nursery has a great ethos and fantastic staff who really care for the children and provide a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. Staff at the nursery are what separate good nurseries
from bad ones; the staff here are long-term and are all very experienced, and even the younger staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The environment is a great mix of play and learning, with lots of outdoor activities such as forest school which introduces children to creatures and promotes outdoor learning and play. There are many activities and events which involve parents. In my opinion, this nursery is exceptional and I highly recommend it.

I have attended Norfolk House Nursery on a few occasions for my niece's performances and events. I attended her Halloween performance, Christmas Nativity and Easter service. We absolutely love attending these special moments and coming along to Norfolk House. The staff are always accommodating, polite,
caring and happy. We have always felt so welcome and special when we’ve attended. The nursery itself is beautiful! The facilities are spotless, it always smells so clean and tidy. The outside forest school is one of the best I’ve seen and the children gain so much from playing outside in forest school and being offered so many different experiences outside. They offer so many fun activities for all the children of all ages, including special family-attended experiences like the car wash, fireworks, story reading and fates. The progress the children make at Norfolk House is a good representation of the staff, their expectations and Norfolk House as a whole. We cannot wait to be involved in all the fun again!

Job Title: Senior Nursery Manager

I am Hayley Fox, the Senior Nursery Manager. I oversee all three of our nurseries, sharing my time between them and working closely with the Nursery Managers who are responsible for their day-to-day operation. We have found that this arrangement further enhances the level of service we are able to provide and keeps us at the very forefront of Early Years education.

I have worked in Early Years education for 22 years. I started work at our Norfolk Road setting in April 2009, some five months before it opened its doors. I have therefore been able to recruit staff, plan and implement policies, and develop best practices in all areas from the Nursery’s very inception. My own daughter attended the Nursery and progressed through every age group, which has enabled me to view it from a parent’s perspective.
