Rated 'outstanding' in every area by Ofsted in May 2021, Small World Kindergarten and Montessori provides both all-year and term-time childcare. Situated near Christchurch Park in Ipswich, it offers modern, purpose-built premises with two well-equipped classrooms and covered outdoor areas where children can safely play in all weathers.

Apple Tree Classroom is a large Montessori preschool room with Montessori teachers and a fully qualified teacher who prepare the children for school from two and half onwards.

The nursery's blossom classroom gives toddlers their first taste of nursery with lots on offer to stimulate young minds. Three to four baby places also allow working parents the comfort of knowing their baby can progress through the nursery with every stage of their development being met.

The highly qualified team is led by a fully qualified teacher who has also completed practical Montessori training. The nursery ensures the EYFS is followed, as well as helping to provide a high standard of care and education that follows the Montessori ethos.

This is an outstanding nursery which provides a friendly, caring and nurturing environment for the children. The staff are all brilliant. There are so many different exciting activities which the children can enjoy. Our son and daughter have been very happy here.

Varied, educational and fun activities plus obliging, caring and cheerful staff make for happy children.


My little girl settled nicely and simply enjoys being there - which is really all that matters at the end of the day!


There is an emphasis on teaching respect for others and politeness,

plus excellent early years learning programme that engages children and prepares them for school.


I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery.

My daughter has only attended this nursery since the beginning of September. They have been so good at setting her into the daily nursery routine. All the staff have been caring, attentive where appropriate and my daughter has transitioned beautifully into attending small world. The nursery is well
equipped and the classes are always varied, she always spends adequate time outdoors and especially loves the bunny rabbits. I have no complaints or worried with small world and I would recommend it to all my friends with children.
