First Steps Day Nursery provides quality and inspirational learning for children up to eleven years old.

It provides a nurturing and caring environment where everyone feels welcome and valued in their own right.

It has established an enviable reputation for delivering a high-quality childcare service and this is recognised by both parents and Ofsted.

The children are cared for in a stimulating environment where each child can reach their full potential. Children are actively encouraged to explore, learn, communicate and interact with one another.

First Steps are very proud of their staff who you will find are enthusiastic, dedicated and highly qualified and this is what makes the nursery so special. The nursery has 100% of staff with a Paediatric First Aid certificate.

My eldest son went to first steps a few years ago and despite living a bit further away I chose first steps again for my younger son who has been attending since he was 8 months old. He has recently moved to pre school and loves every single day that he spends there. He names the ladies as his best
friends. They show so much care and compassion, are approachable, professional and friendly!

My daughter started at first steps in February and the staff have been absolutely amazing. They have supported us through the huge transition of our daughter starting at nursery and I feel happy and confident in leaving my daughter with the staff. All of the staff I have encountered have been supportive,
kind, caring and helpful. They are fabulous with my daughter and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience! The app used has helped reduce my anxiety in the early days of my daughter commencing nursery and is lovely to see what she has been doing during her day.

My little boy has attended First Steps for almost a year now and he absolutely loves coming every day! The Nursery Manager is helpful in every way she can be, when I needed to increase days, this was available for us to do so. Staff know my little boy inside out and his face lights up when we talk about
them at home.
The parent app allows me to have an insight into his day and I love to see what he has been up to! It is my favourite time of day to see his nursery 'moments' I especially love that staff follow my child's interests and provide tuff trays and activities to expand this. A very big thank you!

A great nursery for little ones! My son loves it here, he actually asks to go on days that he is not actually in! The staff are very good and they have really taken their time to not just get to know my son but also us parents as well and we are always given a warm welcome every time we arrive. A special
thank you to the Nursery Practitioners who have consistently worked with my son and have always provided us with updates throughout the day, which is appreciated due to the anxiety we have leaving him!

I am so happy with First Steps Nursery - my son has attended for 2 years now and is currently in the pre-school class. His speech, confidence and independence have soared since starting. Each member of staff I've spoken to at pick-up time has been lovely - friendly and courteous. They really care for
the children and it shows in the way they interact with them. I am always greeted with a smile.


The outside space is fantastic - like a big garden with different areas to explore or ride scooters and bikes and is secure. Inside has large rooms with a great range of play opportunities. The ladies plan brilliant and inventive activities for the day and these are communicated through an app along with photos of your child playing, plus information like the food they've eaten (which is always varied and healthy). My son is happy to go to nursery and I'm happy to send him - I know he has a great time.

I absolutely love this nursery! The staff always go above and beyond for you, and the manager is always so accommodating. When you're looking for a nursery, this is exactly what you need! They are so transparent and honest! My daughter has been there for over a year and absolutely loves it! She calls
the staff her friends and has developed a lovely bond with them.

Great nursery, great/kind staff my son loves going here without a doubt! Always give updates via the app/photos of what they have been up to and tell us in person upon pick up. Can't fault First Steps best nursery my son has gone to which my next little boy will be going to later this year.

My little girl started first steps in September and I've been so happy with the decision I made in choosing this nursery. She absolutely loves it and comes home so happy, it's lovely to see photos of her on the app every time she's there and I love to see how comfortable she feels with the staff and
how much effort they put in to make her afternoons so fun. She comes home chattering about two members of staff at the nursery and telling us what she's eaten. It's a gorgeous nursery with a very calming feel to it and management have been nothing but helpful every time I've had a question to ask. I'm going to be sad when she moves rooms in a few weeks but I'm sure the staff in the next room will be just as lovely!

My child has been at this nursery for nearly a year but started to go full time in September. First steps nursery is such a lovely nursery. The staff are amazing I cannot fault them! The manager is very warm and welcoming and will always try and accommodate the days you need your child to be in nursery.
They have brilliant facilities for the children and the staff do so well with the different activities to help the children learn. I couldn't ask for a better nursery and better staff to take care of my child!

Great nursery and staff. There is lots of space inside and outside for the children to play. The activities are always imaginative and the children learn so much, as well as having lots of fun. The food is great too and the nursery is very flexible with dietary requirements.

My daughter has been attending for over a year now. She loves it. Has thrived. She has made great friendships. Loves all the nursery staff. Is always polite and pleasant this hasn't changed since going there. Everyone is always smiling. The children are always happy. I would 100% recommend. The building
itself may be a bit worn, but the care is second to none. I looked round a few others prior to going and am so glad I chose this nursery. She eats double portions often at nursery. She learns a lot. There is always a balance of learning and fun - allowing children to initiate play which I love. My daughter has grown in confidence being here.

My child has attend First Steps Nursery since September 2023 since she was 9 months. Her time so far at this nursery has been great. The staff are always supportive, friendly, caring, and enthusiastic. They have an amazing app where parents get updates throughout the day of what my daughter has been
up to. This really does reassure you as a parent that your child is safe, happy and content. My daughter enjoys all the food choices provided to her and has improved massively with the use of her fork. The outdoor area is fantastic as well as there sensory room. They really do cater to all children's needs. Could not recommend enough.

Always so warm and friendly when welcoming you into the nursery. My son (9 months old) has been there since he was 6 months old and his face just lights up every time that door opens and he sees the girls. He gets so excited and they all make such a great team looking after him. I wouldn’t take my children
anywhere else. My daughter went here as well and she didn’t want to leave. It has just amazing staff and ultimately an amazing nursery. Thank you for all you do.

My daughter started First Steps Nursery in April and I am so pleased I chose to send her to this nursery. The staff are absolutely brilliant, always happy to answer any questions and constantly kept me updated. Even when I was constantly calling to check up on her. It was a very anxious time as my daughter
had never been with anyone but me for a whole year but they were so great with her and reassuring to me and put me at ease. In a matter of a few weeks, I can see she has come leaps and bounds and has quickly settled in, she now reaches out to the staff to go to them on drop-offs. There are new activities every day and they have brilliant facilities. The staff went at my pace and even offered extra settling-in sessions. They are very quick at responding and provide so many updates on the app. I can’t thank the staff enough for how loving they have been to my daughter.

We're very happy with First Steps Day Nursery & Pre-School Ltd. My son always has lots of different activities to do and a wide variety of food. There is also a great outside space for him to play outside. The staff are very friendly and caring. My little boy is still trying to get used to going to

My child has attended this nursery since April 2023 and I couldn’t be happier with this setting, this nursery makes you feel happy leaving your child with loving and caring members of staff. My child comes home telling me about all the things they have played with and all the different resources they’ve
explored. This is a very family oriented nursery and I have felt supported if there was any worries or concerns.
The management also take time to come and have conversations with parents also greeting them at the door to let the children in. This nursery also does an online portal so you can see what your child’s been doing as well as what that have been eating. This is the best nursery I’ve found and forever will chose this nursery in the future.

The staff are amazing, friendly, my son loves to be at nursery. He can do things he loves and the environment is absolutely great. Our boy has been since last year but he has developed so much and he can't wait to be in nursery. The security they have in place is excellent as a parent when he is there
I am rest assured he is 100% safe and in good hands thank you so much for enforcing that security check when needed. Because of that happiness he's got we added another day for him and he is absolutely happy. The nursery is very specious which makes it so amazing when it comes to learning, the outdoors, marvellous, and exploring just fab. He can now eat nearly anything that's how good the food is, loads of fruit and veg also we parents get to know the menu of the month in advance. What he has eaten how much etc. They put pictures on every day and a timeline of his day. Thank you everyone at First Steps, you are making his time there so enjoyable.

I cannot compliment First Steps Day Nursery & Pre-School enough for the childcare they offer. From the minute myself and my husband visited we knew it was where we wanted our daughter to attend. The staff were so friendly and the children were all so happy. Our little one has been attending for 4 weeks
now and she has developed so much in just a short space of time. The staff are so in tune with her, they know her routine, her likes and dislikes and they know when she just needs a cuddle. When we drop her off we know she is safe, happy and enjoying herself. The staff keep in touch during the day using their app to update us on her sleep, her meals and her nappies. They put pictures on each day of what she has done. The nursery offers a great selection of home cooked food and our little one has eaten such a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables since she has been there. She plays outside and inside and each day has something new to look forward to! Thank you to everyone who is making this journey an enjoyable one for her!
