Les Petites Etoiles Bilingual Montessori - Paddington is a French-English nursery for children aged ten months to four-years-old located in Paddington.

The nursery offers age-appropriate classes which are responsive to the needs of children depending on their age and specific learning and support needs.

They has several native French teachers who provide children with a French-bilingual environment, while children are also supported by fully-trained Montessori teachers and staff members with alternative qualifications in childcare.

The needs of all children are supported, monitored and nurtured during their time at the nursery, and many of the teachers are parents themselves and understand that each child may require a different level of care.

Offer a four course organic menu, prepared daily by the nursery chef.

One of the best bilingual nursery in the area, quality teachers, quality staff, quality programs, and more importantly extremely friendly! Very happy with the outcome as our son spent three good years there, we always felt he was between the best hands, being at Les Trois Oursons was the best thing
we have done in our son’s lifetime.

I love this nursery! My daughter has been there since she was 13 months until almost 4 years old. It has been sad to leave such an amazing nursery. The nursery staff are caring and friendly and the atmosphere and environment at the nursery is always happy. My daughter went to nursery with a smile on
her face and when I pick her up her smile was still there. She was looking forward to going to nursery. All the activities she did were well planned to help with her development. She has made really good friends who are now accompanying her at school. It's also lovely to get details about how her day has been or what my daughter has done that day. Her speech is amazing in both languages ( French and English) and this is also due to the nursery as we do not speak at home any of them. You can also tell child safety is important and makes you feel safe knowing your child is in safe hands and everyone is so welcoming. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent or carer.

We really enjoyed our Les Trois Oursons experience. Our daughter was 18 months when we joined the nursery, and she was very well integrated and enjoyed her time in the nursery very much. She was really excited in the morning when we approached the nursery and she was really happy in the evening. Staff
is amazing, very friendly and supportive. There is a wide range of different activities available to children. All kids in the nursery seem to be very happy which is very important for me.

Both our daughters attended Les Trois Oursons (LTO) from the age of ten months to pre-school. They both thrived at the nursery and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff are all extremely kind and caring and it is a wonderful environment for young children - engaging, challenging and welcoming
in equal measure.

Les Trois Oursons (LTO) has been a place of fun and joy for my two boys over 4 years. They are well prepared for starting school. They are looked after in every possible way. It is a very safe environment thanks to the staff’s continued efforts. The children learn while having fun. Thank you to all
of you!

My daughter was at Les Trois Oursons from September 2016 to August 2018. She was 15 months old when she entered and 39 months old when she left. We have had a great time at LTO. She is happy every day at and has developed all essential skills (physical, lingual, intellectual and social) and a good manner.

As a parent, I'm so satisfied with the nurturing environment at LTO. My daughter has changed three classes and three key teachers during the two years and has been consistently taken good care of. All teachers were so supportive and we felt assured at all stages of her development. All the teachers and staff were approachable, responsive and professional. I could always trust that she was in a friendly and secure place.

It has been a great journey with LTO and a great regret that I have to move on. My child is doing great at the new school (nursery at a big school). LTO has prepared her well.

We loved Les Trois Oursons and were so happy to have our daughter there. We weren't even looking for a bilingual school, that was just a bonus. We were really drawn to LTO because it's such a wonderful Montessori school. They have a balance of rigour and child-centredness that helped our daughter flourish.
She just "graduated" from LTO and went to primary school, and she's well ahead of where her teachers expect her to be. She knows all her numbers and can write her name, which is a goal they don't expect children to reach until the end of this year. I credit that to LTO. They gave her a real sense of autonomy combined with opportunities to explore new ideas, that made her really enthusiastic about working with numbers and letters. Love this school, love the staff!

I send both my daughter and son to Les Trois Oursons. I have seen them develop, become more articulate and they have made friends with both classmates and have a lot of love and respect for their teachers, they have also become more independent. I love the caring environment, the bilingual opportunity
and their level of understanding of each child's needs, depending on their development stages.
Would recommend you visit to see for yourself.

Impressive nursery: outstanding teachers, welcoming professional staff, stimulating curriculum, tailored bespoke approach to each child, safe environment, extraordinary attention to detail for each child's development, regular fresh air and exercise, healthy four course meals daily, outings to places
of interest in London, a central location, reasonable fees, flexible opening hours.... I could go on (!). Both my daughters attend this nursery. I have utmost confidence in their development and well being under the care of Les Trois Oursons (LTO) knowing your child is safe and happy whilst you're at work is priceless. I would recommend LTO in a heartbeat. Thank you to the whole team for their continued commitment to excellence.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.430)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.430) out of 10 for Les Petites Etoiles Bilingual Montessori - Paddington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.779 for Les Petites Etoiles Bilingual Montessori - Paddington is calculated as follows: ( (80 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.779

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.651 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Les Petites Etoiles Bilingual Montessori - Paddington is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 47 number of registered child places is 9.4. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.4 = 0.851

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hello, I am Marina, the Manager at Les Trois Oursons, and I would love to introduce myself to you!

I am from Spain, where I started my journey in the Early Years with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and Early Years Education. After my degree, I gained practical experience working as a Speech Therapist and Nursery practitioner for many years.

After moving to London in 2015, I joined Les Trois Oursons in 2017 and became the Manager in late 2019.

I am passionate about the Early Years and its an honour to look after the children, helping them achieve their full potential while providing a supportive environment. As a setting based on the Montessori pedagogy, we work towards children's autonomy, self-esteem and self-regulation. We implement a rich variety of activities based on the children's interests and needs.

Partnership with parents and teamwork are essential too. Working alongside the team and involving the parents allows us to provide high-quality teaching to the children.
I am proud of our children's achievements and how the team provides a nurturing environment where the children can feel safe and looked after. I believe warmth is the first feeling you will get once you enter our setting.
