My child has been at this nursery since she was 1 and has made good connections with the nurturing staff and is very happy here. I think that it looks great now it has been refurbished and there are always fun things for her to do both in babies and now in the toddler rooms. I like the way they are
building her independence and the opportunities for messy and water play that just isn't possible at home. I have already recommended the nursery to others in the area and would not hesitate to do so again.

My now three-year-old and four-year-old have been attending this lovely nursery for almost two years now. The staff are very attentive and have formed amazing bonds with my children. The facilities are excellent and they have a culture of continuous improvement and are always open to feedback. I highly
recommend it, especially in these unprecedented times when you want your children to be in safe and caring environments.

I am very happy with my daughter at the nursery, all the staff are passionate about what they do and the nursery has been renovated to a high standard.
The staff give constructive detailed accounts of how your child is doing each day, and there is always up to date information about parent meetings,
events and future activities the kids will be involved in - something I didn't get at all at her previous nursery. It's easy to see how much the staff care and they help encourage the kids to find their own way through activities, in a way that's comfortable for them.

My son has been attending Montessori in Finchley since September 2018. He was happy here, loved his teachers and was very well looked after. His speech improved so much since the start of the nursery, that now I have no worries about his readiness for the reception class at school. He is an energetic
child, and the nursery made sure he got plenty of exercises, he also enjoyed the additional activities the nursery provided (football with external coach). He will be missing the nursery, the chef, and his favourite teacher. Thank you!

This is a wonderful nursery. My daughter joined when she was two and is now in reception. My son joined three months ago. Both of them love every minute they spend in here. The staff have looked after them brilliantly as they genuinely care for every child. What's worth mentioning, is how quick my son
settled in really surprised us, as you can imagine for an 18-month-old from a non-English speaking family. I must say the staff are absolutely amazing. Nothing is better than the smile on your childrens faces when they hear it's time to go to nursery. Also, the food is excellent. Thank you Busy Bees family.

I am very proud to say how pleased I am with this nursery. My child receives amazing care by the staff, each and every staff member. My childs development has come along extremely well, considering his age. The meals that are prepared on-site fit my childs needs exceptionally well. I would highly recommend
parents that this is the perfect place if you wish to put your child in any kind of childcare. As a parent, I never feel worried as anything that happens, takes place, etc, is always well notified to parents efficiently. Overall, this is an amazing nursery.

Very good nursery, my little one has been here since 2017 from age ten months. Montessori by busy bees were instrumental in getting her to walk early and have been great as she goes off to primary school next year. Highly recommended.

Our daughter loves it here! We like:

+ The kids are nice to each other. Other kids will console our daughter if she is upset
+ The diet is very good, very diverse. We had a independent dietitian look at the menu & they were happy with it
+ We've observed that the kids are free to be themselves

without running riot.
+ Kids get lots of hugs
+ Staff listen to feedback
+ Lots of children's art & pictures on the walls
+ The staff turnover is very low
+ They have a good IT system where one can view pictures of ones child's development.
+ Everyone is very friendly
+ Diverse set of activities, with special events. e.g. Chinese new year, traveling zoo visit
+ Although the nursery is part of a group, it does not feel particularly corporate. With local management having discretion
+ The management is supportive with swapping days

Many prep schools in London favour children from Montessori schools. Most importantly, the staff seem to really care about our & the other children, at the nursery

Mace Montessori is a lovely nursery has given both of our children an environment to grow into individuals with lots of character and a fabulous environment to learn and take own interests further. Lots of activities and within the last 4/5 months management team have become very active in making so
many improvements to provide opportunities for children and the staff too.

I have been with Mace (North Finchley) for over 5 years as I have my first child going there since he was 1. My son loved it so much. He learned and developed confidence.

I have my second child in there too and almost ready to start school soon. She is very happy and has developed properly and

she is ready for Foundation stage. Now regarding the management staff and learning activities, I have seen many changes within the nursery for the past years and I have to say that currently the management is making a strong effort to provide the best service and always caring about the child.

Lots of extra activities, and park trips. Great activities for the kids to learn about different cultures, such as the recent Chinese New year activity where they brought a dancing Dragon in! The kids loved it!

Recommendation I would like them to push more the Montessori learning techniques and its equipment more often.

The majority of parents send their son or daughter to the nursery that is closest to their home. We didn't do that.
We looked at all the nurseries in the area and then chose the one that we liked the most.

Here are some of the practical reasons why we chose this nursery (in no particular order):
1)

Different rooms for different ages
2) Dedicated reception area
3) Fantastic outside space/playground
4) Situated on a quiet road with a car park
5) Cloakroom outside the rooms for all the buggies and coats
6) All on the ground floor, no stairs
7) Lots of windows and natural light
8) Freshly cooked meals
9) Very close to a park
10) Good public transport links, bus and tube

... but the real reason we send our son here is because *ALL* the staff are awesome and our son is really HAPPY here.

If you live anywhere near Whetstone or North Finchley, I would definitely recommend it.

My second son is attending this nursery. My eldest went here too, from 1 year until he was three, and he loved it so we sent our second and now after some jitters at first, he really enjoys it. We are very lucky to have such a great place so close. The staff are really good and you get to know them
as friends.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.994)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.994) out of 10 for Montessori by Busy Bees Finchley is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.905 for Montessori by Busy Bees Finchley is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.905

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.089 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Montessori by Busy Bees Finchley is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 number of registered child places is 18. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 18 = 0.389

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
