Absolutely fantastic nursery! All the staff are so friendly and kind and our little girl loves going! Her language and communication is developing at an amazing rate. Overall Experience

This is a lovely friendly nursery. Our son has attended since he was 1 and is now nearly 4. We love that the nursery is small enough to feel like a family but has also got great resources and facilities. He is very happy here and we feel like we’re part of the family.

Our daughter loves Lilliput Day Nursery. She gets really excited when she sees the nursery and when I go to pick her up she always comes out with a smile on her face. Sometimes we will drive past it at the weekend and she gets disappointed that she can't go in and play. Our daughter learns so much at

the nursery, she always comes home with a new words or skills she has learned and her overall confidence and development have shot up since she has been going to the nursery. The staff at Lilliput are always kind and supportive. They are really attentive to our daughter's needs and they are supportive and helpful if she has any problems or difficulties. The nursery has a real family atmosphere and fosters really good relationships between the children so that they become friends who are are always saying hello to each other when they get dropped off and seem genuinely happy to see each other and be able to play together.

Fantastic nursery. The staff have been really supportive all through this pandemic. My grandchild is always happy to go to nursery and is always chatting about the ladies there. They provide lots of exciting activities and a really lovely, healthy menu. My grandchild has come on so much with her language,

confidence and all round development since being here. I can't recommend Lilliput Day Nursery enough.

My son has attended Lilliput two days a week since he was 8 months old and I cannot fault the nursery. I chose Lilliput as it is much smaller than other local nurseries and seemed a great environment for a younger baby (very clean, calming and not too chaotic!) and most importantly the staff are absolutely

lovely. The children spend plenty of time outdoors playing and doing different activities and I get to see the photos and comments taken during nursery time on the Tapestry app - it is nice to see what he gets up to. The care he receives really is fab - he seems to be thriving here.

Overall Experience

This is a fabulous nursery with a real ‘family’ atmosphere. The staff are so nice and regularly go above and beyond. They clearly love their jobs. Our little one is into his fourth year and always enjoys his days there. We know he is always cared for, given love and attention, is learning something

new each day and being really well prepared for school. Highly recommend.

Overall Experience

I'm very happy with the nursery, my daughter loves it there, the staff are great and very approachable. Since starting in May 2019 I have seen an improvement in my child with eating and she is starting to write now as well.
The cost is reasonable compared to many other nurseries with clear fees and

the food they provide is of a good standard which my daughter now eats pretty much all of, including salad and vegetables which she never did for 3 yrs at her previous nursery. Overall a great place and I would recommend.

Overall Experience

My son attended Lilliput Nursery from September 2018 to February 2019. The only reason why he is no longer attending Lilliput is due to moving house. When researching new nurseries, it made me realise how special Lilliput is as a nursery. They were supportive from the initial settling in period up to

starting potty training. My son was in the little learners' room of which the staff were excellent. My son still talks fondly about his key workers alongside everybody there including the chef. The tapestry online service was also well received and parents were encouraged to upload images and events so that staff can talk about home. My son's speech development, attention span and sharing skills have all been increased. Thank you, Lilliput for developing and supporting my son's first nursery experience.

Overall Experience

My child has been with Lilyput Day Nursery since he had been 2 years old. I am very pleased and impressed with how much he has developed and within the last year, I, as a parent, was concerned with my child's development skills and progress before he started but I'm very happy to say how much my son

loves coming to nursery and how much he has shone. I would highly recommend Lilyput Day Nursery to any parent.

Overall Experience

Our little boy has been attending Liliput for nearly a year now. We looked at a lot of nurseries in the Kings Heath area before deciding and it was our favourite by far. Since starting, he has moved from the baby room to little learners and the transition was made very smoothly to ensure he had time

to adjust. The staff are lovely, the rooms are spacious, bright and welcoming. Most importantly, the kids are happy!

Overall Experience

Lilliput Day Nursery is incredibly important to myself, my son and my family.
They have nurtured my son’s physical, intellectual and emotional development since he started at eight months old.
All staff have been like family members and so supportive through various changes to our routines.
They

have been a massive support to all of the challenges of parenting from sleeping and eating to toileting and understanding emotions.
We know that he eats well every day and always has so much fun with every kind of activity imaginable.

The workshops have been a wonderful chance for us to be involved in his nursery experience and observe his play and learning with new friends and it’s such a lovely feeling.

We know he will have a lovely day when we drop him off and picking him up is the best time of day as I can see what fun he has had.

I highly recommend this nursery.

Overall Experience

My daughter started here when she was one and has enjoyed it ever since! I was struck by how caring the environment is, how all the staff know all the children and I mean more than just their names! They genuinely care about the children, find opportunities to develop them, lots of imaginative play

and most importantly warmth. There is a lovely atmosphere here and my daughter loves going in, which is the biggest recommendation for me! I love the way they share updates on tapestry, it is great seeing how she is getting on. I'm a big fan of the morning coffee and breakfast snack for parents too! If you want genuine warmth and care then visit here!

Alison Lane

Job Title: Director

I am a qualified Nursery Nurse (NNEB) with more than 23 years of childcare experience. I have worked for both the private sector and Birmingham Social Services gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with a wide diversity of children and their families. Since 1999 I worked in the Early Years Department of New College in Bromsgrove and Redditch as an early years Trainer. I was involved in teaching and training future nursery nurses in NVQs and Diploma in childcare.

In 2005 I opened the first Lilliput Day Nursery in Rubery followed by Lilliput Day Nursery in Kings Heath in 2010. It was my aim to be able to offer good quality childcare that I would be happy for my children to attend. I am the Director of these nurseries and have a Manager in each one but I am a very visible presence within the nurseries and can be found at either one of them. I am a hands on owner and have a lot of input in what happens within the nurseries to ensure they continue to meet the high standards I would expect for my children.

Steve is an experienced building contractor with over 30 years experience. He originally refurbished both nurseries to an extremely high standard and continues to maintain and develop them. In recent years both nurseries have had their gardens refurbished and during 2018 Steve refurbished our Rubery nursery.

Hi, I'm Annette
I am a mother to 3 girls and two grandchildren who I love to be around. Family is important to me and I bring my life skills and experience along with me every day I walk through the door of nursery. I joined Lilliput in September 2005 and have been on quite a journey, starting as a nursery assistant rising through the ranks to my present position of Nursery manager, which I have held for the last 8 and half years. When I started at Lilliput in 2005 I always knew I wanted to guide and inspire our future generation to become the best they could. I love to watch how children develop and change while in our care and then when they move onto big school and leave the setting we can say we helped towards the little people they have become. Our Kings Heath setting has always been a family to all who enter our doors and cards we receive say how they will miss their Lilliput family when children leave. I'm a level 3 practitioner and joined Lilliput in June 2016 as a room leader in Pre School. I have been qualified since 2010 and have many years experience working within the childcare sector including I being a private nanny for three children in their own home. During my time at Lilliput I have progressed to Senior Nursery Nurse and now have the position of Deputy Manager. I am looking forward to helping the whole team to continue to improve their practice and develop the nursery to the high standard that is expected. I am a mother to an 8 month old who keeps me on my toes 24 / 7 but I would not have it any other way. I have a passion for childcare and have a vision to inspire all children that I care for.

I first joined Lilliput in Rubery in 2006 as a level 3 nursery nurse. I left to work elsewhere but came back to the Kings Heath setting in September 2010. I have many years experience of working with children and many life skills that help me encourage, challenge and develop the children I look after. I have progressed to the position of Room Leader and am now Senior Nursery Nurse. I have grown in confidence while working alongside an inspirational management team which has enabled me to support the whole staff team around me. I am a mother of three grown up children and have two beautiful granddaughters who are my world. Being positive and happy within the nursery has given me the opportunity to input my parent partnership skills which is a real strength of mine.

I run Little Learners. I am a level 3 nursery nurse and I have been working at Lilliput since 2013 where I started at the Rubery setting. During that time I covered at the Kings Heath nursery and eventually transferred there in August 2014. I am the nursery Senco for the setting and I really enjoy this role as I love to learn and work with other professionals to give the best outcome for each child. Since working here I have progressed to Room Leader and in December 2017 I became Senior Nursery Nurse. I enjoy the extra responsibilities and the challenges that this role brings.

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

I'm level 3 qualified and I started as agency cover 3 years ago and had a long term placement with Lilliput. I worked along side other staff at the setting to support a child with special educational needs. I really enjoyed this placement and quickly formed bonds with the lovely staff here. When a position for a nursery nurse became available I applied and was successful. I have worked in all of the nursery rooms and can honestly say what a wonderful supportive team to join.
