New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) has been in operation for over 20 years, first opening its doors in 2003, it is located in a converted Victorian house which has been renovated to meet the needs of caring for young children.

Why choose New Foundations?
- The nursery is small, friendly and goes above and beyond to provide a personal touch. A smaller nursery than most with only 29 children per day, they can cater to every family’s individual needs and create strong, lasting relationships.
- Outside providers are spread across the week so lots of children can benefit from these extra curricular activities. These include Forest School, Phonic Stars, Tiny Tekkers, Mini Wave and Sing and Sign.
- The home from home environment has a higher number of staff than required in order to cater for all individual needs and provide an extra nurturing and caring experience for all children.
- They put a large emphasis on books and stories, with each room focusing on ‘a book of the week’ to encourage children to have a love of books, opening up their imagination and introducing a wide range of vocabulary. There are multiple studies describing the vast benefits of reading stories to children which enhance communication, language and holistic development.
- There is a large outdoor area for children to play and explore, the children have also been working with the nursery's Forest School leader to cultivate a natural Forest school area where they can explore wildlife, learn about a variety of flora and fauna, get involved in risky play whilst learning to risk assess to participate safely.

Highly recommend this nursery. I knew from the moment we had our show around this was the right nursery for my son, all the staff were fantastic. My son attended for 18 months and always loved going to nursery. All the staff have shown so much love to my child and great support with his Senco needs.

I recently moved my 2 year old here after being unhappy with the previous setting. She has only been at the nursery for a month, but I’m really happy with it. You are kept updated throughout the day with nappy changes/meals/sleep. They send out two photo updates per day with tonnes of photos from the
room they are in, which is great as you can see what they have been up to and how they are interacting with the other children. They have an outside provider mini wave come in for the children and again you get loads of photos. The staff are really friendly, they even make a fuss of my older child who never attended the setting, which is sweet. The nursery is small, but I like that it is just 8 children in the toddler room, more like a home setting and not so overwhelming for a 2 year old. Overall, very happy to recommend.

Highly recommended nursery. Both my children attend and really enjoy coming. The nursery offers a great variety of daily activities and food choices. The staff are attentive and caring. It's a home from home feel as not huge numbers of children attending. I prefer this as you get to know the staff and
they form real relationships with parents and the children attending. Lots of extra activities like Forest School, Phonics Stars, Tiny Tekkers, Mini Wave to name a view providers enriching the children's day. A wonderful place for little people to grow, learn and have fun! Highly recommended nursery.

From the moment I stepped into the nursery for a tour, I knew it was the nursery for my daughter. The updates of her daily routine and pictures of what she has done throughout the day puts my mind to rest that she is being cared for properly. My daughter has special educational needs and they include
her in all activities and make her feel special when she is in their care. The staff are amazing with her! I wouldn’t want her in any other nursery. All the staff do an amazing job and you can feel their passion for the children. I would recommend New Foundations over and over again!

I’ve had a big change in life recently and one of the biggest concerns was moving my child to a school in a different city that should be comfortable and happy. New Generation Bexleyheath I can honestly say has a special place in my and my child’s hearts. Each key worker is amazing in what they do.
They have loads of activities for the children as well as setting reachable milestones. They are kind and considerate. The nursery is clean and has a variety of play spots and activities. As this nursery is slightly smaller I feel that they can connect with my children more personally which is a quality hard to find. The app they use is kept up to date throughout the day. I can honestly say I have no worries when my child is at nursery. I can see the growth from her and a lot of that I will give to the key workers and her being at such an amazing nursery.

My little one started this nursery after an unfortunate experience at another local nursery. The staff are a cut above the rest. They are caring and very engaging. They are brilliant with keeping you updated with activities of the day and are brilliant with getting back to you if you ever have a query.

Our 17-month-old started this nursery when he was 9 months. He has amazingly grown from a baby to becoming a toddler. He suffers from eczema and is allergic to dairy, eggs and nuts. The nursery took this on board and ensured that his diet is adjusted and emollients applied. We get updated on his development
and he gets lots of cuddles and love from everyone at the nursery. I can’t recommend this nursery to everyone. The peace of mind we get and assurance around his development is outstanding.

The team is lovely and cares about our son’s development. You can tell they all enjoy what they do. On top of this, the nursery is incredibly well organised, a fantastic space for play and extremely professional.

It's a good nursery for my son.
There is lots of learning and interactions with other toddlers.
He has really settled well and enjoys going.

We have been so incredibly happy with our experience of this nursery. The staff seem to know the children really well and show a genuine interest in helping children's development, as well as catering to their interests and needs. The communication with parents is excellent and we have felt involved
in our daughter's day. Our daughter comes home talking all about the experiences she's had during the day with a smile on her face. The staff have helped to support our daughter in many ways, for which we are extremely grateful.

Our son could not be happier at nursery. His speech and development have come on so much since he joined a year ago.
The updates we get and pictures are great and he enjoys all the different activities he does.

My son absolutely loves coming into nursery every Friday, staff are always a pleasure to speak to they are always smiling and happy to answer any questions I have, they are great at keeping me updated during the day on the Famly app in which the children are always doing different activities it’s never
the same, great nursery all round my son has also come on leaps and bounds with his education and communication since starting.

Our experience of New Foundations has been fantastic. Our daughter has a great rapport with the staff and other children and has learnt so much in her time there. The menu is fantastic, healthy, varied and ensures kids with allergies do not miss out. The activities and external providers they work with

Our daughter has attended New Foundations Day Nursery since eleven months old. The staff are extremely attentive and have a genuine interest and care for all the children. We receive updates throughout the day on what she has been up to, including nap times, meals, photos etc.
The staff are very accommodating
and helpful towards managing our daughter's multiple food allergies and have worked together to create a comprehensive care plan for her. Activities are varied and plentiful, we would highly recommend New Foundations Day Nursery to all as our daughter loves it here!

My little one has been attending since 2021 and absolutely loves it. The staff are all so lovely and you can tell the children have a real bond with them. My daughter is always coming home and telling me all the new things she has been learning and shows real excitement going in each day. I know she
is looked after really well and is in a safe space which is really reassuring for working parents.

My daughter has been at New Foundations Day Nursery for nearly a year now and has come on in leaps and bounds during that time. Her social skills have greatly improved and she is always telling me new little things she has learnt. They have various outside providers come in to vary the children's activities.
The staff are friendly and caring and I'm kept fully updated through the app as to what my daughter has been up to throughout the day. They provide nutritious balanced meals and my little one looks forward to her days at nursery.

Our child has been attending here for a few months, joining the nursery at 16 months and settled in straight away. I had great confidence from the start as the team took a lot of detail and care in getting to know him to ensure he would settle well.
We get daily updates with everything we need to know
and photos throughout the day. He is benefiting from the structure and routine of the nursery day and is developing so well from everything he is being taught there. Each day is filled with fun and creative learning. All staff are really friendly and I feel comfortable that if we had any concerns we could raise them.
Would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a caring and fun setting where their child will learn lots!

Becky now works across both the nurseries overseeing the Management teams, monitoring quality and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Job Title: Nursery Manager - Job share

Joined: 2004

Sarah has worked for the company for over 18 years, starting as an Apprentice and working her way up. Sarah worked as the Deputy Manager at this nursery for 3 years before starting her role as Nursery Manager a year ago. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge to bring, Sarah is the organised one and ensures every job gets done thoroughly and to a high standard.

Charlotte Butler

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Charlotte started at New Foundations in 2011 and completed her apprenticeship with us, she worked here until 2016 and rejoined us in 2020. She has worked in all rooms and has a great knowledge of child development across all ages.


Charlotte has recently been promoted to Trainee Deputy Manager, she shares the core values and ethos of the nursery and is passionate about providing high-quality care to all of our families. She brings fun, laughter and joy to all at our nursery.
