Banana Moon Day Nursery in Lower Sundon is a warm and friendly setting, nestled in the Bedfordshire countryside just north of Luton.

The nursery is a very outdoorsy setting, each of the rooms has its own outdoor play space, and the setting also has its own field on the premises! There are 3 rooms, one for each age group (Under 2s, Toddlers 2-3, and Preschool 3+), and each is an airy space, with resources to stimulate learning appropriate for each child.

The team pride themselves on their pedagogy of learning through play, inspired by their children's interests or by wider events, such as the Luton Carnival, Diwali, Royal events or National Nursery Rhyme week. They follow In the Moment Planning, scaffolding the children's learning by following their interests and interacting in a supportive and cooperative way.

The team are all trained in Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Paediatric First Aid and other areas.

Home-cooked meals are prepared on-site and provide the children with a nutritious and balanced diet required for healthy development.

Our two daughters really enjoy going to nursery. The staff are consistently warm, caring and gentle to the children, so our daughters feel safe, comfortable and confident to try new activities and make new friends. The activities are fun, engaging, messy and creative, which is lovely to see when I come
to pick them up. They are all smiles with lots to share about their day.
The communication with both the senior team and the twins' carers has been excellent; they've always been extremely helpful and sensitive to our daughters' needs, and committed to helping us as a family with issues like scheduling sessions and funding queries.
We've also been really happy that the twins get the.opportunity to play outside in a beautiful peaceful setting with horses in the next door meadow and ducklings hatching. Altogether, it's a lovely setting.

Banana Moon are amazing!! We recommend them to everyone. We're so glad we found them and they were able to squeeze us in both times. Our daughter had the best years there and we were absolutely gutted when she came to leave. Our son has recently joined the baby room too and is loving it already. The

Our son has just started school after finishing three and a half years at Banana Moon Day Nursery and we'd just like to say that he has loved his time there. The staff have been amazing and he is really going to miss it!
As he was a lockdown baby, we worried that he might be affected badly but thanks
to nursery, he hasn't been and is completely ready for school now.
The standards of care have been great, the staff always approachable and friendly and we have always felt safe and secure sending our son there.

We’re super happy with Banana Moon Lower Sundon. All of the the staff are super friendly and our little one has such a good time. I love seeing all of the updates on their app, they’re always up to something fun and usually very messy. We love how outdoorsy it is, they have outside play areas right
outside the room and then a massive field overlooked by horses, there is so much for them to learn and discover. It also feels super safe and secure. There’s so much more, varied nutritious food, the learning, themed weeks, stay and plays.

Our first son has been attending Banana Moon since he was one, and my youngest has just settled into the baby room. My eldest will be very sad to leave in September when he starts school. He was born at the start of Covid and has come so far since - Banana Moon has been a massive part of that progress.
He's loved his time there, enjoying the extensive outdoor space and forming bonds with the lovely staff and management, who have always supported and encouraged him (and us!). He's grown in confidence and independence so much, and the preschool has really helped in preparing him for school. They always have fun, engaging and educational activities set up for them to enjoy. The communication with us has been great - we've loved seeing pictures, reports and golden moments on the app. We're looking forward to seeing my youngest progress through his time at Banana Moon too! Thanks to all the staff/management who work so hard to ensure our little ones have such a great start in their early years!

In trying to keep it short but sweet, as I am terrible for waffling on. Banana Moon is a wonderful place. I feel I have become part of the furniture. My second child is currently attending, following in her brother's footsteps. They argue over who's Banana Moon it is. My eldest still tries to creep
back in during pick-up. It is a lovely setting, with even lovelier staff. You have all played a massive part in raising my children and helping them grow and what a great job you have all done. Banana Moon will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
I'm almost tempted to have a third, just so we don't have to say goodbye (No, I'm definitely kidding about having a third though).

My daughter has been attending since September 22 when she was just three months old. The nursery and its staff go above and beyond for each child that attends.
My daughter has recently moved up to the toddler room, and her speech has come on so well.
Each member of staff takes good care, pride
and joy in caring for my daughter, and I couldn’t ask for more. Every morning when we attend, my daughter has a big smile on her face as soon as we drive through the gates.

Our little one attends Banana Moon Lower Sundon. He attends one day a week, and as nervous parents, sending off our life one was a lot.
The staff made us feel so welcome and so comfortable, and our baby seemed to love it.
The environment is lovely, and the staff are all so kind, caring and just
amazing.
One day, as I arrived to collect, I saw through the window my son being really cared for (we always come at different times, so we knew this was genuine and not just for show in case we were arriving).
The outside field is so lovely, and the children have so much outdoor space to access.
It's extremely safe, with a gated entrance and cameras within the nursery.
You have to buzz and speak to enter, so not just any random can get in.
We are very happy, and after viewing a few nurseries, Banana Moon was the best by far.

The staff at Banana Moon Lower Sundon are incredibly professional and friendly, providing a supportive and encouraging environment for children to grow and develop. In the 1.5 years my son has attended the nursery he has formed positive relationships with the staff and is excited to attend nursery.
Having a child with allergies, I had concerns about sending him to a childcare provider; however, the staff have provided continuous support and regularly checked in with his allergies. The outside space at the nursery is second to none! A huge field with lots of equipment, bug hotels, plenty of space to run around and more as well as age-appropriate outdoor gardens. There hasn’t been a single day where my son hasn’t been able to go outside, rain or shine! We love the child-led attitude for activities and incorporating their ideas into the day. The staff are incredible and perfectly suited to childcare. I’m certain we will be sad when it is time to move on to school.

I discovered Banana Moon by accident and I am so very glad that I did - from the expansive outside space, forest school and 'neigh'bouring horses to the daily care and attention received from the staff, all is just brilliant.
My daughter has attended for 2 years now, with just 9 months to go before
she starts big school. We will both be sad to be leaving such a wonderful setting and brilliant people behind. It's safe to say that my daughter loves being there. She has flourished and grown into a very independent and confident little girl, which I put down to the guidance received at Banana Moon. A far cry from the tearful toddler I dropped off on her first day.
She has formed such wonderful bonds with the staff and has previously referred to people as 'my' when talking about them. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for helping me get her to where she is today, you all feel like extended family to both of us.

And a fun fact about me is that at Banana Moon Lower Sundon we have not one, not two but three Sarah's! Some of the children refer to me as "The Orange Sara" Due to my hair!


The reason on why I enjoy working with children is I get to meet new families on a daily basis and make the transition into settling into a new nursery a smooth and welcoming one! No day is ever the same in a nursery and the children bring so much fun, joy and laughter to my day!

Some of my favourite things to do when I'm not at work include being out in the garden, planting and growing new things, cooking and baking scrumptious food, I also really enjoy going to the cinema, theatre and anything to do with music
