Bright Horizons Court Oak Day Nursery and Preschool is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:00, for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

A warm, welcoming environment supporting the transition from home to the nursery is fully inclusive of nappies, wipes and milk, and they provide excellent nutritionally-balanced menus using fresh ingredients prepared by the nursery's own chef.

The large outdoor area with a herb and vegetable garden allows children to explore the world around, and there are two outdoor areas, one of which is for preschool children, the second being an all year round outdoor learning centre, enabling children to learn outdoors whatever the weather.

There is a lovely mud kitchen that has been extended for children to explore, including seating for children to sit down & play throughout the day. As children move out of toddlerhood and into the independence of the preschool years the programme for learning develops into a more structured pace of meaningful and purposeful learning, where children are encouraged to approach the world with curiosity and with a positive disposition to learn.

At this stage children at Court Oak need confidence and the skills and desire to think for themselves, to solve problems, to work with others, to communicate, and to gain an increased understanding of the world and how it works.

I am very pleased with this nursery. My son is always happy and well looked after. He has formed a good bond with staff and enjoys taking part in a variety of fun activities. My little boy is now talking lots more and is making good progress in all areas of his development. Keep up the good work! :)

My daughter has been at Court Oak since a baby (now 4) and gone through three rooms in this time. The care has been consistently excellent. The staff are warm and caring and my daughter has thrived. There is a number of staff who have been there throughout, I would recommend Court Oak with no hesitation.

I feel my experience and my 2-year-old twins experience has been very rewarding and encouraging. I find the staff have been extremely accommodating to change of personal circumstances and also have been great with ensuring my twins are kept on track and have developed really well and now say much more

I have had two children here at Court Oak. My youngest, now 4, both have been here from 6 months. All staff are professional and actually take the time to understand and get to know each child individually. Such a great mix of staff.

My son finds it hard to adapt to people and had attended two other nurseries before settling here two years ago. The care he has been given is amazing and I am always kept up to date with issues or care of my son. My son loves the staff. After seeing all nurseries my son has attended this is by far
the best! would highly recommend.

Have been at this nursery for five years with both of my children (now aged 5 and 3). Overall care is outstanding. Both girls are extremely confident. Nursery gave them the social and independent skills they need to help them in school. Staff are extremely caring and professional in their approach.
A range of flavours is introduced in a very healthy diet. The safety is paramount in the facility with a wonderful range of activities and learning.

My daughter has attended nursery since she was 6 months old and has developed tremendously since then. The activities and interaction with other adults and children has stood her in good stead for the future and she is more confident following her visits to this nursery. The nursery has always catered
for her food allergies and ensures that her meals and any medication is tailored to accordingly. I am very satisfied with the level of teaching and care provided by the nursery.

My first son attended Court Oak Kindergarten from 10 months and recently his experience here helped him prepare for reception. My child still attends Court Oak and enjoys himself here. Court Oak Kindergarten has been an integral part of his development.

The staff make the nursery. The care and attention they give the children is how I base my assessment. What I am particularly delighted with is that there is a very low staff turnover. I appreciate all the support that is given in recording and monitoring all the development stages. My son has settled
into each of the rooms that he has been in. Prior to my son attending my daughter came to this same nursery (2009-2012) and a lot of the same staff are still working here. I have recommended Court Oak Kindergarten to many friends and they too have been very happy.

We absolutely love Court Oak. The staff are excellent and always form lovely bonds with our daughters. They really care about her well-being and development and discuss any issues as/when necessary. The facility itself is lovely and welcoming and the outside space is better than any other nursery I've

My son loves it at Court Oak. All the staff are wonderful and make my son feel so loved and welcome. All his needs are met and lots of information given about his day. Also, regular reviews are informative and provide a great insight into his time at nursery. He has learnt so much and developed in ways
that show how good the nurse input is. Overall it's a wonderful place.

Hello, my name is Abigail, but most people know me as Abiy.


In 2003, my journey with Bright Horizons began as a Nursery Nurse. After taking a brief part-time break to have my daughter, I returned to the Nursery. Over time, I advanced to the role of a room leader and ultimately secured a full-time position as Nursery Manager.


Concurrently, I pursued and successfully earned a degree in Early Years Childhood Studies.

My name is Sophie and I have been with Bright Horizons since December 2017. Within 9 months I had thrived and been given my role as a Room Leader within the preschool room and was training for my role as Third in Charge. I have recently been promoted to the position of Deputy Manager of the Nursery at the end of 2018 and Bright Horizons has helped me to develop the skills needed to go with this position. Bright Horizons has provided me with lots of training and filled me with confidence for all of my roles and I feel the appreciation from the company for all of the hard work that I provide. I feel that all staff who are welcomed into the company are given the correct training that they need in order to thrive within their positions within the settings.
