My daughter has just graduated from the Kangaroo Pouch. She has come on leaps and bounds from being here. The staff have been amazing with her. My daughter absolutely loved going; she woke up every morning, and still does now, asking if she has nursery. Thank you Kangaroo Pouch for helping my daughter
grow.

An absolute pleasure to send my child to this nursery. Very pleased with the level of care they provided my child.
My child has always ended his day at nursery with a huge smile on his face, which is enough to tell me that he really enjoys his time there.
Constant updates throughout the day to inform
me of what my child eats, nappy changes and sleep gives me peace of mind whilst I am at work.
This nursery also supported my child 100% in regards to his hearing aids and worked very well with his ‘teacher of the deaf’. I am very pleased and appreciative of all their help and support.
My child started in the baby room and is now turning two soon. He has developed very well and can now count to 10! Proud of what he has learnt and achieved whilst being here. Thank you!

Kangaroo Pouch has provided excellent care. I have found all staff informative and helpful. Activities and learning have been provided in a fun way, my child joined in. In COVID, again, the staff coped well.

My child has been attending the nursery since he was a baby and now leaving to go to school. I have never had a problem, the nursery will keep me updated with my child's developments and events happening. Even during COVID, while the nursery was closed they were helpful with home resources. I am truly
happy with my child's time at the nursery.

The nursery staff are all very friendly both my children have attended and both my children loved going to the nursery. Issues were dealt with in a timely manner and any concerns were addressed. Head office staff are amazing all emails were dealt with within a 24 hour period and in a professional manner.
I would definitely use the nursery again if I had more children.

My son attended this nursery since he was 7 months old. Whilst in the baby room the staff were great, however after moving rooms, my son was constantly ill, 4 out of 5 days per week he would come home with a nappy rash (but would never experience this when was not at nursery) and his key worker lacked
communication skills, and did not seem qualified, as struggled with the basics. The manager is rude and unapproachable. I had a number of meetings with management to try to work through the issues as the last thing I wanted to do was move my child, but I found her again to be rude, and failed to listen to my concerns, or take accountability when the wrongdoings were clear to see. As a result, I would score zero, but the 1 star is in recognition of 2 staff who were great throughout his time there and frankly too good for this nursery.

Since my daughter started attending Kangaroo Pouch, she is a completely different child. She has gained confidence and independence. This nursery has been the making of my daughter, and she loved going in every day to see her teachers and friends.
They have taken time to know her as an individual
and have encouraged her in the activities she loves the most. Every week they learn a new topic and really think of ways to teach the best they and mod most of all they all have fun!

My son loves going to nursery here. He has created strong relationships with the staff and lovely friendships with the other children. He has developed and learnt so much, he can't wait to tell me about his day when I pick him up. The staff go above and beyond with the care for my boy. They make leaving
my little boy easier knowing he is happy to be there, thank you.

I find Kangaroo Pouch (Hateley Heath) to be professional, supportive and definitely goes the extra mile. They have a clean environment. My son has developed so much since being there. The staff are absolutely outstanding and are so reassuring to all. My son talks about the staff at home and genuinely
looks forward to going to nursery. I was worried about the transition from Joeys to Walleroos but the staff and both key persons made sure it was smooth and stressfree. He loves nursery. They do a great job.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.096)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.096) out of 10 for Kangaroo Pouch Day Nursery Hateley Heath is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for Kangaroo Pouch Day Nursery Hateley Heath is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.096 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kangaroo Pouch Day Nursery Hateley Heath is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 number of registered child places is 10.4. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.096

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
