Little Learners, Purley is a small and friendly day nursery for children from two to five years-of-age. The refurbished nursery is located in Beaumont Primary School House and has a large, garden with trim trail, planting areas and a large climbing section.

They accept all types of childcare vouchers and offer free spaces to eligible 2, 3 and 4 year old children.

The children of Little Learners nursery have their own toothbrush, toothpaste and flannel so to teach them about hygiene and the nursery works with parents to help with potty training.

The nursery provides a multi-cultural diet to reflect society and food awareness, and is also able to cater for special dietary requirements.

Each child will have a ‘key person’ in the nursery who is responsible for them on a daily basis.

I feel extremely comfortable sending my daughter to nursery knowing she’ll be looked after and receive the correct support to develop her unique personality in the right way. She loves all of her friends and teachers at the nursery.

Choosing a nursery was one of our most considered decisions. After much deliberation, and a happy visit, we finally agreed that Little Learners in Purley was the right fit for our daughter.


After a stuttered settling-in period, it's clear we've chosen the right environment for our little girl to

grow and develop.


Leg hugging and tears at the nursery door have now been replaced by a no-look wave as she hurries into the building.


The nursery staff are friendly and approachable, and readily provide valuable insights into our child's learning and development [which, thanks to them, is improving all the time].


The online tools and Parent resources are excellent. The Online journal is frequently updated, and provides a very pleasing diary of our daughter's nursery experience.


The team at Little Learners (Purley) deserve recognition and praise for the excellent work they do. If you're looking for a nursery that ticks all the boxes (or close enough), check them out and see what you think

My little girl loves going to the nursery, so much so that she is asking us if we are going to the nursery over the weekend. She loves all the drawing, singing, and dancing that they do. She comes home a happy child, could not recommend the nursery enough.

The staff here are amazing. My daughter has been coming for nearly two years and loves it. They plan so many fun and engaging activities and she is progressing so well. They make observations almost every day which is far more than some nurseries. I will be gutted when she has to leave for school in
September and will bring any future children here!

Fantastic nursery. Our daughter's speech and confidence have grown every day! Staff teach something new every day, play outside in the fresh air, songs, dance and language - every day, every week and better! Teachers and all staff are very caring and friendly with a lot of patience. Our daughter loves
going there and she is always happy, always misses her little friends when she is on holiday or over the weekend. Perfect location, close to the park. We love you Little Learners.

Little Learners, Purley has been a fantastic early years setting for my son. The staff are warm, friendly, and professional all striving for the same goal, to ensure children feel happy and safe and to prepare them for school.
My son took a while to settle in as he was a three year old starting during
the pandemic, in a strange environment with adults he did not know and leaving his parents who he had spent nearly a year "locked down" with. The staff were amazing and encouraging at all times and did everything in their power to reassure my son and me, making suggestions to ease the transition.
My son loves Little Learners. His confidence has grown so much in the past 10 months, thanks to the staff there.
Above all though, he has learnt a phenomenal amount and loves to learn thanks to the techniques and activities Little Learners offers. I would highly recommend Little Learners to any parent, it really is wonderful!

Absolutely amazing team at Little Learners Purley!! Will be sad for my son to leave such an amazing setting next year if he could stay longer he would, never have I ever felt so comfortable to leave my son! He is always so happy to go and so sad to leave so many activities are done in 1 day I don’t
know how the staff do it but he has really changed for the better since being here at Little Learners Purley! Extremely happy with this setting and would highly recommend it to ANYONE looking for a fun healthy clean place for your child to grow!

When my son started attending this nursery nearly 5 months ago, his speech was very limited. It didn't take long at all for it to develop. I am so happy with his overall progress, the staff seem to keep him very busy and he's learning at a rapid rate. I can tell they make an effort with my son, especially
his key worker. He absolutely loves attending nursery and even gets upset sometimes when it's time to leave. I would 100% recommend it. Thank you ladies!

My twins love going to Little Learners - the staff are great, there is a wide range of activities each day and the communication between home and nursery is brilliant. Since starting at the nursery, my twins have made great progress with their academics and have brought these skills home. The nursery
have been great with supporting my twins to be more independent from each other and I feel that they are really getting well prepared for school. Thank you Little Learners!

My son attends Little Learners Day Nursery. He has generally been happy at the nursery. From the journals that are shared showing what activities he engages in, it seems to include a wide variety. The activities seem to include play and learning through play, which makes learning fun. The outside space
at the nursery is impressive and the staff are approachable and friendly. I do think some of the learning activities could be a little more structure to my son, such as reading, writing and math, as he needs this but otherwise, I am pleased.

Excellent setting providing a great variety of activity and games as well as learning. Facilities are in really good conditions, the outdoor area is amazing and spacious. The team gives us constant updates and provides great care. Our son loves the nursery and the fees are excellent value for money.
The only missing would be one to one reviews with parents (or video calls during covid).

The staff are friendly and helpful. Our grandson is happy about going to nursery school and has made friends. He sings songs that he has learnt and points numbers and letters out when we are out with him which is very pleasing. He appears to be friendly with lots of the other children and is very sociable
when out ay playgrounds etc with other children.

Our son has been attended Little Learners Day Nursery in Purley since January 2021. It's not easy to start nursery in the midst of a pandemic but the staff have been very welcoming and he loves it. We have been refunded for days the nursery has had to close due to coronavirus cases being identified
and staff and children needing to isolate. The parents are currently not allowed in but I know from when my daughter attended in 2018 and 2019 that there is a lovely outdoor area with a jungle gym, dress up, motorbikes, footballs and the pet rabbit. Inside is a home corner, a library, dress up and a range of other toys. There is also an indoor area upstairs with a large messy play tray. My daughter and son both loved attending. The staff were excellent with our daughter and her speech really developed well there, she was also more than ready for school when it started. My children are both adopted and the staff completely took this in their stride. Watch out for the sports day and BBQ in September each year, its loads of fun!

My son started a couple of months ago and has already settled very well. Staff are all friendly and warm towards both children and parents. I love the fact each morning there's a table set up, with dinosaurs, bean bags, bricks, animals, every day is different.
The garden is outstanding, with a climbing
frame, decking and great ride on toys. Plus, the outdoor rabbit is a big hit.
Fingerprint entry means no waiting to be let in and out.
Inside, downstairs is not as large as some other nurseries I saw, but they do have a room upstairs, and they get out in the garden every day.

My partner and I have, what might be described as a very publicly shy child, though he seemingly does not always contribute vocally when at Little Learners I've noticed his vocabulary and his ability to engage with me in play or active listening at home and with family has increased significantly in
confidence and willingness.
He often excitedly talks about the nature of things he does there whether it be Tuesday Football, painting, what he ate, what he made, or simply recounting lyrics to Disney songs he's sung or heard from other children. It's always a joy picking him up as you are warmly received by the staff and always informed as to the nature of his day and made to feel fully involved, down to each meal.

My daughter loves nursery. Every time we drive past she will point at and wave saying "Hi nursery, mummy, that's where my teacher lives!" I was playing a game with her and when it came to counting up her cards she correctly counted to 20 which I have never heard her do. She is now doing more time at
nursery and her speech, counting and colour knowledge has come on incredibly. She is always excited to tell me about her day and often has a new picture or craft for me to put on the fridge. Her favourite is her plate spider! Thanks, Little Learners Purley team - you are all amazing!

My eldest child started nursery 2 months ago. He found the initial transition incredibly hard but I cannot fault Little Learners Day Nursery in their kindness, patience, support and professionalism during what has been a testing time for us both. The staff are excellent, the facilities and activities
are brilliant too. My 3-year-old is learning French on a weekly basis here and in the 2 months he's been going, has overcome severe separation anxiety to become a happy, sociable little boy. Can't recommend them enough.
