Bright Horizons Wokingham Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly known as kidsunlimited) is located on Molly Millars Lane, close to the M4 with Wokingham train station, just two minutes away.

The nursery offers an excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting to Reading or London. It provides five child home bases each designed specifically for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children, as well as an activity room for all ages.

The nursery has three outdoor spaces. They provide space for the children to become growing scientists, active athletes, green gardeners and so much more. The growing room ensures children gain skills and knowledge to ensure readiness for school.

Meals and snacks are carefully planned in consultation with professional nutritionists and freshly prepared by the onsite chef in a 5-star environmental health rated kitchen.

Fees include all meals and snacks, plus branded nappies, wipes, cream, sun cream and formula baby milk as appropriate to ensure that there is smooth transitions between nursery and home.

My son has been attending the nursery since the age of one and has thoroughly enjoyed it and making friends. Even though the nursery was closed for a few weeks to update training for all staff this year, I was very impressed by the way they made plans for my son to join another setting within the company
for two weeks. They have now come back stronger and we are really seeing a difference in the teaching and activities they are doing with the kids. We are also receiving weekly updates which is great. My son is also learning to write his name at the age of three and has started recognising different letters of the alphabets. The staff are very caring and personally make it there mission to ensure the kids are happy. The team have worked really hard to turn the nursery around and me and my husband are really seeing the change.

We have absolutely loved having our daughter in Bright Horizons Wokingham Day Nursery and Preschool. The staff made the huge transition for us as a family so much easier and we always felt we were putting her into such safe hands every time we brought her in. We cannot thank all the staff enough for
all the brilliant work they do for children and their development. They really do put the children first and it shows.

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons nursery. My kid really enjoyed it there and learned so much. Plus the whole staff are warm, friendly and very caring. They have good space in the nursery with a lot of toys and conduct various activities for kids.
Also if you have any issue as a parent they
tried to solve it asap.

Likeable staff and our child just like the previous one loves it.

We have fallen in love with Bright Horizons Wokingham each and every day. Although we've hit a few speeds bumps in an attempt to know each other, I wouldn't and couldn't have chosen a better school for my son.
He's developed instrumentally in the last 9 months of being in the school. He loves it. He's
learned to share, count, speak better and we've enjoyed and continue to enjoy the personality he has since developed.
You want peace of mind, choose the manager's team.

Very good set up of the nursery with clear rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school. I can see the staff put a lot of effort into planning the day for the toddlers with new activities laid out every morning and afternoon. The toddlers always look happy and comfortable when dropping off and picking
up. I see the staff providing empathetic support to toddlers, which is very comforting and encouraging to see. My own toddler had an incident (injury) and the staff handled it extremely well. My toddler was not put off and, in fact, was eager to go back to nursery - I don't believe this would have been the case if it wasn't for the care she received. I would just suggest a bit more regular communication to parents about the progress and nursery.

We have every confidence in Bright Horizons Wokingham. Since management has returned from maternity, the organising, staff happiness and knowledge and knowledge about everyday running of the nursery has improved. We feel the staff care about our children and really do have their best interests at heart.
(We felt the £150 joining fee for our second child was unfair). We trust the staff and that is a huge contributory factor for parents. We feel they are understanding about how families are different from one another and are adaptable and flexible within her abilities.

Our daughter is very happy and clearly well looked after. In terms of improvements, we would like to receive more updates about daily activities. At our older childs nursery, we received daily emails/photos about the day. Given parking restraints, there isn't enough time to stay and discuss this with
the staff. Weekly PE sessions seem to have stopped, unfortunately.

The staff in my child's room are outstanding and they all make it ok to leave my child each day. All of the staff are always smiling and welcoming which is lovely, and when they had to shut for a day they were quick to let us know and offer another branch or refund, and they kept us updated on a regular
basis. The staff is what makes this nursery as good as they are.

When we were thinking of my return to work, we were suddenly thrown into the overwhelming world of childcare choices. Along with factors such as location and amenities, we were worried that our 9-month-old baby wouldn’t have the same care that he received at home.
I remember taking him to his first
induction session with his key person and instantly being put at ease by her confidence.
It is such a pleasure to know that the girls who look after our little boy treat him like their family. He has only been attending the nursery for 4 months but it seems that he has developed a great relationship with all of the staff and even the chef! 2 members of staff, in particular, have worked in Babies 1 since our son started and this consistency is most important to us. The girls in Babies 1 always have a great attitude and seem to have the support of the management at the nursery.
We are really pleased with the decision that we made and would absolutely recommend the nursery to our friends and family.

The staff in babies 1 and toddlers 1 where my child has had the most consistent care have been exceptional. They are attentive, informative, sensitive and have offered reassurance and patience as my child has suffered various health issues and treatments over her year and a half in their care. The resources
on offer are a little tired but I'd never consider anywhere else because they've proved to me time and time again that they put the children first.

My daughter started nursery at 10 months and used to cry at every drop-off and pick up. The girls in babies 1 were brilliant. I was reassured and confident that my daughter was in an environment where she would thrive. She loves nursery now, and the whole team there. Very happy.

Our 13-month old son started at Bright Horizons nearly 2 months ago, and we’ve been really happy with how quickly and happily he’s settled into the baby room. He’s very happy to go to the staff at drop-offs and seems to have a lovely time there doing different activities. The staff in the baby room
have been great, and give helpful updates on how our son is doing.

Have been using this nursery for the last 3 years for my two kids. Have seen an improvement in the staff's attitude, despite numerous changes in management and resignations. My children are always happy to go. Compared to other Bright Horizons nurseries, I don't see many interesting activities for the
children. Not sure they are learning much. Other Bright Horizons nurseries show many activities on social media. I think there should be a policy asking parents not to give other children sweets as presents as they are unhealthy and a choking hazard.

With regards to the sweets, I have spoken to the Nursery Manager who will ensure that when other parents bring in sweets to give other children for birthdays or leaving for school celebrations that they are given to parents first and not the children.
They will also ensure activities are shared more with parents via the learning journeys and evidence books staff create.

My boys love coming to nursery each day and I'm very happy leaving them there.

It was a hard decision for me to get to back to work leaving my 1-year-old at the nursery. But, I have to say, Bright Horizons Wokingham has been an absolute dream. My daughter settled in completely within around a week of joining. She starts early, at 7.30 in the morning, and it’s a massive relief
for me to see her go to the staff without any tears or tantrum. She’s always smiling and happy when I go in to pick her up. The nursery is bright, airy and clean and the staff very friendly, warm and helpful. I have previously tried a few other nurseries for my older son, and I can clearly see the difference in the way this nursery is run. It’s quite organised and systematic but not mechanical as some nursery chains are. There is a positive vibe about this place that makes you feel your child is in safe hands. I just can’t recommend this nursery enough.

My name is Lauren and I have been working within the childcare and education sector for 15 years. I have spent time working in many establishments from schools, Private Day Cares, Forest school settings, settings for children with additional needs and nurseries.


I have a foundation degree in early-year childcare and Leadership in practice. I started as a Nursery Nurse and have worked my way up to the Manager position, I am in now. I really enjoy working within the nursery and ensuring the children receive excellent care and attention at the nursery as well as making learning lots of fun.

Jodie, the Deputy Manager at Wokingham, began her career with Bright Horizons in 2012 at the Godalming Nursery as a Nursery Assistant. She studied for her qualification and steadily worked her way up to room leader, then third in charge, and eventually to her current role as Deputy Manager.


Jodie loves working in childcare, and since becoming a parent, she has found she can relate to and work with parents on another level.
